I have been watching your shows for decades, all the way back to the beginning of "The Naked Chef" . I often go back to these epic holiday videos as well as many others. YOU ARE MY FAVORITE CHEF!!!
Usually I get the urge to watch these shows around Xmas but everything going on now in the world... It's March and I need me some wholesome feel good stuff!
This video changed my Christmas cooking forever since I bought the CD 16 years ago in Irish Two Euro Shop. Love it ever since, learned and applied it all, is fantastic! Thank you for sharing it🌷
Thank you so much for putting this on UA-cam! This is Christmas to us!! We have owned the DVD since it was released and used it every year apart from last year when we no longer have a dvd player!! So thrilled to get this on UA-cam so we can keep watching it! I’m thank you!!
Thanks for that wonderful video Jamie, and for the many great recipes, looks great. We (in our family in Switzerland) celebrate christmas on christmas eve. There we dont want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, but rather enjoy time together. So we enjoy a kind of hotpot (we call it "Fondue Chinoise" in Switzerland). A very tasty broth, with plenty of items to cook in. Very thin slices of meat, shrimps and veggies cooked in a delicious broth, and than enjoyed with tasty sauces. Most wonderful.
I loved watching this!!! My late fiance loved cooking English dishes, as him mum was from England. This reminded me of his passion for cooking...I miss him dearly and wish he was still here with us. 😢
Like to watch this every year it’s so wonderful, even if I can’t do it myself! Such a pleasure to see and watch Jamie and almost taste and smell it. Thanks so much! Hope you and yours are still well.
Love your video's. My hubby does most of the cooking in our home...He makes cranberry sauce that's wonderful. Cranberries, orange juice, mandarin orange slices, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and if you like it nutmeg. No specific amounts, just to taste... Many people we know who say they don't like cranberry sauce really love this! Thanks for all your wonderful video's! Merry Christmas!
So blessed me Jamie .You are indeed a great and gifted guy with tremendous patience to plan, prepare, and share that delicious extravagant dinner with not only your blessed family but with the world 😊 God bless❤
W moim kraju święta wyglądają trochę inaczej ale ALE twoje podejście do gotowania, twoja pasja i wszystko, co robisz jest tak bardzo fajne, że uwielbiam Cię oglądać ❤❤❤
Spot on learning so much from your old days they still give me a buzz my second year watching these for different ideas, keep up the brilliant work Jamie you and your family have a great Christmas ❤❤
Thank you Jamie I sometimes do my roasted veg since I seen you do them just put them in a tin sprinkle olive oil over and put in the oven Great thank you love watching you cook it's Great you explain things so good and you make it look easy
I made a cranberry sauce one year and put all that you had minus the port and added currents. when it was cooked and bottled in a sterile mason jar and brought to the turkey dinner one of the ladies tasted it and without asking she said I'm taking that home. I thought well she doesn't cook ok do it. LOL I loved everything you did here. Amazing Jamie Merry Christmas. Happy New Year too 2023.
I’ve been watching you cook since I was 8 years old, thank you for teaching me how to cook. I want to go on masterchef one day but I still need to eat a bit more
@andriagolding4032 nah, his recipes these days are too out there. He puts too much random stuff in them and things that don't work. But if you still enjoy it, that's all that matters
There's a Finnish recipe called Lunttulattikko ... it's a rutabaga casserole--would be nice to see Jamie try and add to his Christmas arsenal ... would be the 'new king' of the show. Never will forget my mother's casserole, it was on a level all its own. She substituted Canadian maple syrup for the brown sugar.
I love the way he starts - 'get rid of all the stuff in the kitchen that you don't need and banish it to the garage' And of course, one should look carefully at everything before bringing it back. I look at a lot of stuff in the shops and have to firmly remind myself how much I like an uncluttered kitchen. I am single, so I admit that it's easier for me than some others
Thank you f❤or sharing your knowledge and advise. I did my first turkey and it turned out awesome, so m7ch flavour and moist and tender. The gravy was delicious. I used a turkey roaster appliance bc the host was using the oven for his prime rib and yorkshire puddings. Yes we had both for Christmas dinner. The stuffing was my Brit Mum's recipe and very similar to yours. Thank you again for the great advice.
you are wonderful,I learned so may things and the reason you give detail ,you are not like some shef we have here they think people learn and take their place Go bless you ,you are blessed
I got stressed out just watching this, he is breathless as he races about rushing from one job to the next. I prefer the series he did which gets rolled out every Christmas on the Food Channel where he makes the Christmas lunch look SO much more easy and less stressful! Go back to the old way Jamie!
I was looking for the Cracklin Christmas for the 7 spice goose, it's hard watching shows from '05, it's amazing how fast things change, no wife, kids, family, alone! Appreciate the time right now.
So Jaime would one more who doesn't eat much and is more than willing to help with anything be okay to join your family for the incredible meal you have made. I live in New Zealand while my sister lives in England. Her husband thinks he's an amazing cook, and the kids are adorable they have never heard the word no. I'll happily bring my own plate, cup, and utensils. I'll even make a pavlova and a leg of ham glazed to perfection as a couple of New Zealand Christmas items. Seriously, I know this is an older video, but by any chance anyone reads this, have a Merry Christmas to everyone, especially people like myself with no family. You are thought of and loved as we head towards Christmas 2024. If anyone wants prayer for anything, comment back, and I'll put you or the person who needs prayer into my prayer book. God bless.
Quite a few years ago, in the late 90’s, when the airports started using X-ray machines that measured baggage to discover explosives the machines started raising the alarm more and more often on baggage on flights from Britain as it got closer to Christmas. It was all false alarms which had everyone irritated until someone realised that the false alarms were all baggage departing Britain. Eventually it was found that the machines sounded the alarm based on density of materials in baggage, and it was found that Christmas Pudding has the exact same density as Semtex… 😎
Jamie, could someone use plant based crumbles for the meat? If someone is allergic to pork and all pork products. Thanks. Love the ideas in your videos. 🌺❤️🫖☕️🎄
Hello Jamie.
Jamie is great. If I had a restaurant and needed a chef, he would be my first hire. His meal looks fantastic with these exceptions 1. His stuffing is not my ideal of stuffing. His is too meaty. I bet it’s delicious but it doesn’t seem to fit into this meal 2. His gravy looks like gravy made in a dumpster. May taste good, but I would call it “dumpster gravy “ but in the end it looked good. I would worry about it being too greasy 3. His turkey wasn’t that appealing raw. Never seen a turkey look like that but it cooked up well
I have been watching your shows for decades, all the way back to the beginning of "The Naked Chef" .
I often go back to these epic holiday videos as well as many others. YOU ARE MY FAVORITE CHEF!!!
Kind of feels like I'm back at my youth and preparing Chrismas with my family. Love it.
Oh my god. Adorable vintage J.O!
Usually I get the urge to watch these shows around Xmas but everything going on now in the world... It's March and I need me some wholesome feel good stuff!
Hugs me too❤
😢❤

Thank you for re-sharing this with us. I still make the mashed turnip and carrots every Christmas!! Love these old holiday specials
I love them too❤
Jaime Oliver is my all time favorite chef, & I have a pic of him in my kitchen!❤️
My goodness,19 years ago , I remember watching this and following it ,those were the days ❤ loved it😊
Thank you so much for putting this on UA-cam! This is Christmas to us!! We have owned the DVD since it was released and used it every year apart from last year when we no longer have a dvd player!! So thrilled to get this on UA-cam so we can keep watching it! I’m thank you!!

I have literally just finished watching this on DVD. I'm probably going to watch it again. It's my favourite Jamie Oliver Christmas.
I loved watching this!!! My late fiance loved cooking English dishes, as him mum was from England. This reminded me of his passion for cooking...I miss him dearly and wish he was still here with us. 😢
Wow I miss how passionate he was🥺 I think they exhausted him and juiced him of all his creativity
As a fellow adhd kid I love the first thing you did was clear the clutter!! I just can’t think with ‘stuff’ around me. ❤
Oh!!!!! I love that too!!!!! A clean, pristine, empty Page. Soooo relaxing ❤
Jamie Oliver not only the G.O.A.T chef but one of the nicest guys on the planet.
True. I wanna thank him for his existence.
My old boss cooked for him and worked with him a few times. Said he was a prick but then again Andy was a twat so I don't really believe it
Nicest guy? He fed hot chilies to his kid as a punishment
@@_flyingtoastie_8676my old man used to beat the living $hit outta us - regularly, for little or no reason. A hot chili pales in comparison.
@sbpierce9987 abuse is abuse. I hope you don't have kids
I watched this live! Love bringing back some history, thank you!!
old are gold 🥺💓 seeing your family’s memories feels so warm
Like to watch this every year it’s so wonderful, even if I can’t do it myself! Such a pleasure to see and watch Jamie and almost taste and smell it. Thanks so much! Hope you and yours are still well.

I have this on DVD and use it every year and just add flavours and take away dishes as I please. It wouldn't be Christmas without it.

That first tip about clearing out the clutter is the best tip for sanity.
Not just the kitchen!

*Lanttulaatikko 🙂
Never seen brown sugar used, it's made with siirappi (molasses?).

I hope so. probably thinks he can't add to it, it's done. But I would love to see it again and follow live or something.

In Jamie's kitchen, even the clutter is aesthetically arranged.
😂
Top tip cook the Christmas pudding in the slow cooker.

This turkey is from 2005 so it should be really juicy. LOL just kidding I did hear you say 2005. Beautiful dinner Jamie.
Jamie to stop your eyes watering when peeling or chopping onions leave the roots of the onions on till the very end and discard the root at the end
GREAT TIPS from Jamie. Original chef content.

I agree about the turkey it looked like it had a skin condition 😂
