- Sister Cecilia Maria of the Holy Face was a Carmelite nun who died in 2016 after battling cancer. Her story made headlines when a photo of her smiling on her hospital bed went viral all over social media.
Her testimony of love and trust in Jesus Christ, even in the midst of the hardest trials, has awakened in many hearts the desire for a greater commitment to Christian life.

@@Poison-Ivy-Man it is forbidden to communicate with the dead: deut 18.11. Paul, for example, asked people who were alive to pray for him. Read the book of Acts. It’s written that if we have faith in Jesus we can pray in his name even for the sick and the possessed and they will be healed/ delivered - John 14.14 mark 16.18!

@@jackieo8693 Do not follow anyone, follow the Word of God because the Bible says that if we follow a blind person we will fall with him into Hell (Matthew 15.14). Read your Bible, my friend! In John 14.6 Jesus said He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one can come to the Father except THROUGH HIM. Why are we allowed to go THROUGH HIM? Because He's sacrificed for our sins, 1 Timothy 2.5 says that Jesus is the only Mediator between the Father and people because He gave HIS LIFE to purchase freedom for everyone. Only Jesus sacrificed for us. That's why Jesus said in Mark 16.17-18 that if we believe in Him we'll be able to heal people in HIS NAME and cast out demons IN HIS NAME. Don't follow people but follow the Bible; it's idolatry if you pray to another name than Jesus, it's not biblical. Jesus said in John 14.14 that we should pray to the Father in HIS NAME (Jesus' name), not another name.

Sister Cecilia radiated a beauty that was so tremendous that it puts to shame the shallow depictions of beauty often propounded by the secular world in film and in print. It wasn't just her idyllic facial features that made her countenance so enchanting. It was the serenity behind the physical appearance that makes her beauty one that is so captivating . @@Theword-ju2vc I agree but the Bible other commenters are referring to was determined and collected by Catholic clergy a few hundred years into the existence of Christianity. Every word ever spoken by God is not contained in the Bible alone. Did the other apostles of Christ who did not contribute to the Bible only read from the books already written, or did they teach from what they heard Christ speak also?
My point was that I don’t understand the trolling from non believers who have rejected the teachings of the church established by Christ. For example, I might watch a channel for Muslims out of curiosity to see what they believe on abortion or contraception, but it would never occur to me to tell them to get in line with Catholic teachings. Likewise Catholics reject many Protestant principles such as the unbiblical “solo scriptura “. But I understand people just want to keep fighting over religion and it will be that way until Christ returns.

The habit is a nuns commitment to poverty, chastity, and obedience. Every time I see a nun wearing the habit, I smile, they are so beautiful.
