Nuns are truly the unsung heroes of our society. Their sacrifice, dedication, devotion, commitment and discipline is mind boggling. They have save many lives (and souls) and don’t speak about their achievement. They expect no accolades in this earth. May they all be blessed for ever and ever?
Not one person on this earth can save souls. We wouldn't need God if that was the case. We all need Jesus. There is no replacing him. Thank God, because we all sin. There is none righteous, no, not one. Amen. What's going on in this video is not biblical. It's man made. If you want to be closer to God,hear his voice or do his will read the Bible. Start there.
@@andrenajones767please your taking it out of context and twisting literarly anything about the Catholic Church. Yes only Jesus can save souls but what this person meant is God saved souls through those nuns. How is their life of sacrafise not biblical??
@@andrenajones767 The bible alone (Sola Scriptura) is itself unbiblical. Jesus is the only Savior, but we are also supposed to participate in the work of salvation and we do that through proclaiming the Gospel and praying for and attending to the needs of others. Elijah lived as a hermit and Jesus described him as "The greatest born of a woman." "I tell you, among those born of women none is greater than John; yet he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” (Luke 7:28) Many of the Old Testament prophets would take 40 day fasts in the desert to focus on God and Jesus did it as well. This religious have dedicated their lives to Jesus and for humanity. Take it to prayer and perhaps the Holy Spirit will enlighten you.
@@andrenajones767 Jesus started the Church when he chose the 12 Apostles. They were entrusted with handing down the teachings of Jesus Christ. That is the origin of the Christian religion and Jesus himself practiced religion (Judaism) faithfully his entire life, so be careful of your "man made" criticism. Faith is a free gift given by God, but religion is what is practiced by those who accept the faith being offered. Observing the Sabbath and being disconnected from a community was never part of the plan.
I am not a nun or a Catholic. I am a Jewish man and about 14 years ago was assigned a patient living in a Carmalite Nunnary. I went to the address, rang the bell, was let in and told to wait. A nun came to collect me. She took me up stairs to see the patient, an elderly, sick nun. I did what I had to do and was seen out by the other nun. I went back to care for this patient a few more times and it was interesting. The nun saw my Star of David around my neck. I told her I was Jewish and Israeli. She told me she had lived in a Carmalite house for nuns un Jerusalem and Haifa, where their sect was started. I didn't know this. She showed me all around their home, explained things to me and allowed me to ask questions too, which I did. I am one of few men, yet alone Jewish men, who has ever seen the inside of thier home and provided an education in their religion and daily life. Amazing!!!
I'm trying to get to know God more, feel his presence more, and I love watching these videos. When I was a child I wanted to be a nun but I went down some bad paths instead. I'm great now but always think back to that contentment and love I once felt sitting in church and singing. I hope I can feel it again one day!
You can feel it again, by faith, when you trust God by faith.....the finished work of the atonement when you believe, can give you what the Bible calls..."the peace that passes human understanding..." Maybe you're looking for something that's in your mind a bit big to find; but start by trusting God in the little things, giving thanks, maybe putting a value on your meals and giving thanks.....thanking God for your hunger and being grateful when it's satisfied. Those are all things that Paul called..."knowing this, reckoning this..." he was saying be mindufl and focus. Step out from your feelings and trust God, when you can. Feelings of peace are nice when they are there, but exercise faith even when they're not there, if you can. And, you can.
You can. I found a priest who exuded great joy, and I asked to speak with him. I poured out my heart. He said: “You’ve made your confession,” and gave me absolution. He said, “Welcome home!” I asked, what should I do?” He said, “Come back to the sacraments.” Since then I’ve been back to the church, and it’s all new for me…endlessly deep and consoling. You never have to be separated from God again.
I love the honesty and genuine beliefs that these ladies have. I wish them all well whatever they choose to do. I did notice that they all seem to be very happy. Thank you Sisters
May Almighty God continue to bless each and everyone of you sisters. Thank you for your sacrifice and dedication. I have pondered this way of life several times and entered retreats of silence for God’s direction. Some see this monastic lifestyle as running away- but in truth, it’s walking towards the epitome of God’s presence.
@thedarkerknight2188 Then why don't you pray for peace in Russia and Ukraine ? What's to stop you from doing that? Maybe that's God's call for you, in these times. You don't have to be a monk or a nun to pray.
To be a Carmelite Nun was really my dream after i finished and became a doctor I felt God calling me .i saw the sign and had that deepest desire..but my parents were sickly that time and i had to make a choice...but i think God understood and helped me to be where i am now...serving Him as i serve the abused children and women. In my heart i never had the change of heart the desire to be like these nuns is still so strong.ive watched this video more than 100x. Godbless you all sisters.Thank u for praying for the world
I am not a nun, but after several relationships I am now living alone and I am the happiest and most peaceful I've ever been in life. A few years back, I was devastated by the deaths of my two beloved uncles. That was when I realized that the love I was looking for but couldn't find in all the men I loved and loved me, was the love I experienced with them when I was little. Because that was pure and true love and that was when I felt the safest and most loved and cared for. So I realized that no spouse or lover can ever give that kind of love to me. But God can. And I feel now that God is enough. I feel His love everyday. So, in a way I understand what these nuns are saying when they say that anything they could need from a man, they find in Jesus Christ.
@@hanygeorge8603 For some people is fictional for others is real, like me. For Him I was healed when I was about 7 yrs old in a supernatural experience. God bless all the nuns, who dedicated their lives and praying for others. It's due to their silent prayers and adoration, we are still surviving. May God bless them with spiritual strength and right guidance.
I spent five years learning and discerning a lay Carmelite vocation. It was a very formative period of time in my life. I did not make vows, but to this day, I know that God wanted me there and everything that I learned there I now share as a high school religion teacher. Their primary charism is prayer and I learned about the many different ways that we can pray and also about the mystical experiences that St. Teresa of Jesus experienced. I also learned from John of the Cross how to grow in certain virtues.
I find these women very inspirational. It’s been said that the prayers of those living in a monastery sustain the entire world. I believe these women are powerful instruments of love and grace in the world. God bless you, sisters!
I am also Roman Catholic since birth. We also have the monastic Carmelite sisters here in our province. Their monastery has a chapel and it is located in a hillside. A very nice and peaceful oasis. Whenever I visit the monastery, it rejuvenates my soul, knowing that the sisters are helping me in my prayers for my salvation and that of the whole world. Of course, attending mass in any Catholic Church gives me the same feeling, but, it is a bit different when going to a monastery and see the kind sisters going-on with their activities and having conversations with them, buying their home-made products, seeing them happy in isolation from worldly ways… Crude jokes were made by people on the outside about the priests and nuns, but, I will have to remind these people, that there are also very good ones. It hurts me to see that the evil doings of a few bad ones somehow over imposed the good works of the entire good priests and nuns, which is so unfair!
I agree that just like any group of people, there's good and bad priests/nuns. I think the problem is that the church covered it, paid for people's silence, and just moved the culprits around. And yes, these things happen in all religions because they have to do with the fact that we are imperfect beings and nothing to do with the religion/faith. That is where I cast my judgment. In all that the church has done to cover these crimes.
Such an amazing, healthy and down-to-earth religious community May dear God bless, lead and nourish them. Love and respect in our Lord, from an OCSO Brother
Being a biological Catholic (Catholic before I was even born), I grew up knowing about the Carmelite Nuns. I didn't fully understand as a kid, only what my mum told me and then finding out as I came into adulthood through my own research. I've come to understand that not all Priests and Nuns are bad and cruel - there are genuine people who take up the mantle because they believe in a higher purpose - whilst there are a few who taint the vocation. And I know this because my uncle is a priest and 1 of the good 1s - and have met plenty of good priests and Nuns throughout my life. They are prayer Warriors, and that creates an energy that amplifies out into the world and to the universe. I know firsthand the power of their prayers, my mum was a prayer warrior, as am I and I've taught my grandchildren the power of positive prayer. My uncle always told me just because men and women dedicate their lives to God, they are still human and still experience feelings, struggle with emotions, have dreams aspirations and desires - those are human instincts that don't switch off - but they are worked through every day every year for the rest of their lives. Thank you for what you do sisters 🙏🏾😑💜
Im exseminarian. I never blame priests or nuns. I know their hardships. There are few bads... but i never give attention to bads... rather look at the good and try hard to work for the church and christianity. 🙏
My life was saved as a baby by a nun at a birthing center who refused to stop cpr on me. I was born with out a heart beat, and not breathing. She kept working on me until God allowed me to have breath and a heartbeat again.

Not a believer myself, but I really can appreciate the beauty in a life lived that way. Half joking, but there are days where I'd sign up for one of those hermitages for like, a year. 🤣🥰 Much love to the sisters tho. Even if you're not a believer, nothing wrong with putting more positive prayers/vibes out in the world.

In every religion, there are good and bad people. I am an atheist but I have deep respect for people who are true to their religion, like those sisters.
Blessed are lives of those special people that sacrifice so much in the name of Jesus Christ. Alleluia, In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
They all look so peaceful and happy they have such a glow about them they have such rosy cheeks I admire these ladies I don’t think that life would ever suit me but each their own
I'm not Catholic, nor am I a nun, but I am a Christian whose husband died now 28 years ago. Tim had a terminal diagnosis and although we were praying for a miracle, he also told me a couple years before he died that he wanted me to remarry if he died. I tried, I remarried twice, but they were both ab*sive. in the end I discovered that Jesus waz more than enough for me, that His love could fill that deep need for companionship.
I get very relaxed and calm whenever I see this video about nuns' life and how they live their life happily loving Jesus to the fullest. I can't express how much I admire these beautiful nuns. Btw, I'm learning English and their voices are so angelic and beautiful it's just unimaginable, I could listen to their voices every time and I wouldn't complain!
I'm an atheist and I'm still a fan of nuns. They want to do good in the world in the way they believe in. Of course, not every nun is a good person but I've found most modern nurses to be lovely.
I heard an exorcist say that our religious are sooo important and that their prayers are to help the Kingdom of God. Im sure we will not know the power of their prayers until our final judgement or purgation so please keep them in your prayers and help support them as best as you can. They are the spigot of many graces prayed on our behalf. God bless our sweet Sisters in Christ.
I am surprised that the nun at the end said that if there was no heaven she'd leave. It seems to me that even if there is no heaven, the positive benefits of prayer, meditation, and the sense of solidarity and sisterhood would still make their lives fulfilling. Many of us who aren't nuns, but have received the blessings from prayer (peace and comfort) and a relationship with Jesus Christ would do so irrespective of the concept of heaven.
I had a great aunt who was a Carmelite nun.....I went with my husband and our daughters to the Carmelite nunnery in Darlington, UK to visit my gt aunt, it was a wonderful experience.
This is a wonderful video. While I certainly appreciate very much their intercessory prayer...I cannot understand how they cannot physically have contact with their families. A friend of mine was a former Carmelite nun..her father was very ill and she was prevented from seeing him ...and he died shortly thereafter. I was my mom's caregiver for many years and it was particularly wonderful to be with her during her last 6 months into God's loving arms into heavenly glory. I think it would be a comfort for a dying parent To have their child by their side. Certainly this would have been a loving example of Jesus love had she been with her father. And at times like this...the love of Jesus would have been shown to her dad and eased his transition into glory. This is what I don't understand About the Carmelites.
I'm not a Catholic but I think the idea is the teaching that you love God more than family. There is a difficult verse in the Bible that if you don't hate your family, then you are not worthy to follow. This doesn't mean to actually hate them but to put that in comparison to God. Also, a follower asked Jesus for time to bury his father and Jesus said to let the dead bury the dead. Your friend will see her parents again in glory. It is believed that this life is very short and we are promised the hope of a better future in glory where there will be much time to be together. Her father likely understood all these things and knew she was thinking and praying for him. It is a difficult saying. Not many can accept or able to see to the future. Especially if we are thinking of pain of a loved one and comforting them at a difficult time.

These nuns are so beautiful and inspiring. They have the greatest gift of all - the love of God.
Some do. Hopefully they are kinder these days than those who abused children.
@@andrenajones767 The bible alone (Sola Scriptura) is itself unbiblical. Jesus is the only Savior, but we are also supposed to participate in the work of salvation and we do that through proclaiming the Gospel and praying for and attending to the needs of others. Elijah lived as a hermit and Jesus described him as "The greatest born of a woman."
"I tell you, among those born of women none is greater than John; yet he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” (Luke 7:28) Many of the Old Testament prophets would take 40 day fasts in the desert to focus on God and Jesus did it as well.
The faith of that last woman... "If heaven wasn't real, i'd be over that wall in 2 minutes." Amazing.
Amazing!!!
My goodness this is beautiful. There is something in me that longs for a life like this, away from the world and with God.
Praised be Jesus Christ our Lord! I have tremendous respect for these chosen souls. May God bless and protect them
God bless these nuns. I respect them and their calling. This sad world needs their prayers.
I can listen to them all day, grateful for great sisters & priests!
We have nuns in our family I love them to bits they are such honorable women I felt their prayers for me daily.
@thedarkerknight2188how dare you
Yes this is true. The devil is afraid of cloistered nuns bec they snatch many souls from him through constant prayer.
So beautiful. I love it. So selfless praying for others. It's a beautiful life, very well organized and peaceful.
@thedarkerknight2188 There's no way to measure it, but it certainly does no harm.
God Bless these Women! Thank you for praying for the world!
@TheDarkerKnight how come you're questioning them but you haven't done anything to help those people the audacity. please walk that talk.
@thedarkerknight2188 Then why don't you pray for peace in Russia and Ukraine ? What's to stop you from doing that? Maybe that's God's call for you, in these times. You don't have to be a monk or a nun to pray.
To be a Carmelite Nun was really my dream after i finished and became a doctor
I felt God calling me .i saw the sign and had that deepest desire..but my parents were sickly that time and i had to make a choice...but i think God understood and helped me to be where i am now...serving Him as i serve the abused children and women.
I have a 6yo son now and been solo parent for 7years because of failed marriage.
In my heart i never had the change of heart the desire to be like these nuns is still so strong.ive watched this video more than 100x.

We all have our place in God’s world. Nuns are just on one path. Your work is holy as well ♡
May GOD BLESS your good heart ♥ liked these nuns 🙏

He was the one that healed my auntie's neigbor. She was paralitic for years but one day during prayer she standed up from her old wheelchair and started to walk. Also, He was the one that healed a blind from birth without pupils, Gemma di Giorgi, thanks to Padre Pio's prayer. The list is long. There are so many of his works around the world. So, that is why some people believe in God, because their experiences. We choose to believe is Him. Everyone has free will to decide what to believe or not.

So sad, hopefully one day you can break free from the cult instead of indoctrinating others :(

Thank you for praying for us, for the world. I believe your efforts have enormous impact for us all.
I have always admired the Carmelites . St Therese of avila was a favourite. God bless these wonderful sisters.❤
Hi how're you doing?
A solid religious order. Standing since the 12th century ! Sainte Thérèse de Lisieux priez pour nous ! sainte Tereza d'Avila priez pour nous !
Of course, attending mass in any Catholic Church gives me the same feeling, but, it is a bit different when going to a monastery and see the kind sisters going-on with their activities and having conversations with them, buying their home-made products, seeing them happy in isolation from worldly ways…
Crude jokes were made by people on the outside about the priests and nuns, but, I will have to remind these people, that there are also very good ones. It hurts me to see that the evil doings of a few bad ones somehow over imposed the good works of the entire good priests and nuns, which is so unfair!
Amen. Plenty of other denominations same problems.
AMEN 🙌🙏
Amen! And all walks of life suffer from that evil in much greater numbers. Doctors teachers lawyers cops etc etc etc.
In which province of Canada is this place please?
Such an amazing, healthy and down-to-earth religious community
May dear God bless, lead and nourish them. Love and respect in our Lord, from an OCSO Brother
I Love their honesty and sense of humor. Their smiles are so kind and sweet. I would feel really really safe around them
Being a biological Catholic (Catholic before I was even born), I grew up knowing about the Carmelite Nuns.
The order itself might be corrupt, but there are genuine good decent human beings who believe in their calling, and that shouldn't be diminished.
Im exseminarian. I never blame priests or nuns. I know their hardships. There are few bads... but i never give attention to bads... rather look at the good and try hard to work for the church and christianity. 🙏

To be a nun or monk in the way the word has become today is probably the best investment
God Bless you, Sisters. Will pray for your intentions.

What an interesting take on the life of the Carmelite nuns. Thanks for sharing.

Of course, not every nun is a good person but I've found most modern nurses to be lovely.

They seem like really lovely ladies! God bless them 💛
Glory to God. Thank you for the prayers that our world so desperately needs.
I really like the nun that was a hippy before.
She apparently was at a Black Sabbath concert!
I had a great aunt who was a Carmelite nun.....I went with my husband and our daughters to the Carmelite nunnery in Darlington, UK to visit my gt aunt, it was a wonderful experience.
Beautiful! God bless….
I think it would be a comfort for a dying parent
To have their child by their side.
