That thing is freaking sweet! Can’t believe that originally came out in 1985! I was 9 years old in 85 and started learning guitar lol can’t wait to see what you do with it. Huge thumbs up 👍
Thanks, it's definitely not getting weathered. I'm not a huge weathering guy to be honest. I am thinking about maybe dropping this one down just a smidgen and keeping around a 4.5-4.75 tire. It will be a scale build just more of a big lifted toyota truck build. These old parts are almost impossible to come by. I want to keep it as a blast around trail rig but still able to put work in crawling. Lots of ideas kicking around in my A D D brain 😆 🤣
@RcDungeon my best bud in high school, had a lifted Sr5 something or another. Red with Chrome 👌 Rocking 33s on a T in the 80s! Oops, or whenever I went to high school, lol 😆
@@RcDungeon ..been collecting since early 80's.. 20 years ago I Had to sell off most of my originals, hurt really bad lol. Since, I have acquired several Re-Re's, and such. I've never run my OG Bruiser! That's what the 407 is for. haha.. You like the High Lifts? They are a great build, and fun to run, but not super capable. I have beat on my F350 and it has never let me down.
@@michaelanderson4897 sorry you had to sell off the collection man that's awful 😢. I'm not really into the high lift much wouldn't mind having one of coarse though.
Yah it's actually pretty fitting to a toyota lifted to the moon lol! Back in the day they made like 48s and specific lift kits guys used on these. But I'll be scaling this one down and I think people will be surprised what you can do with this platform 🤔
I have that kit I had to change all the electrics. Mine started to smoke. I have the og bruiser. From 87 or 88 I forget. Now that kit mine has new electrics. And body was painted to be a og bruiser. I put it on my og bruiser then my remake of the body is on that clone. My og bruiser body get crushed in storage I a;so got that rc converted to 1.9 wheels. Now I have to get new lipos for mine.
Yes the electronics are not to great on this. Sucks your body got crushed man wow. I've really enjoyed this rig, will be doing some crazy build using this rig, stay tuned if your interested.
@pennyhelga no its not bad at all. I'll have tons of coverage on it coming. I mean its not a trxr its a scale style trail rig that bang pretty hard bashing wise which surprised me. I mean it's based of technology from 1985 but it'll definitely crawl we went out today for 2 hours today, I ran 2 5500mah 3s packs through for a total of now 5 of those packs after purchasing it. Its a Hella fun truck if your into scale stuff
That steering angle x)
Looking good 👍
So fresh and so clean!
Very nice truck can't wait for the build, thanks for sharing.
@@derrickhays3627 Thank you and thanks for watching
Great unboxing and sick looking rig 😎🤩👌
Thank you 😊
That ad was so ahead of its time :F
Honestly I feel this setup is still better than the Tf2

Excited with you. I'm a long time Tamiya fan, have over 40 including an OG Bruiser. I also have an HG-P407. It's quite enjoyable!
Wow over 40!! Now that's a collection! Yah this truck I'm just super enjoying right now

@bcochener same here always puts a smile on my face
Great video! I saw this comes in a kit build version.
For sure comes kit and rtr, the kit comes primarily assembled so I got the rtr
Thats a badass yoda
Thanks brotha
@ i knew it was a wee bit different than the rest once I actually looked at it oldschool rules
@DubVredneck yah man this truck is so badass!.
@ yeah it looks like back when those monster lifts came out and the big 48" groundhogs
@DubVredneck I was thinking the same thing I remember those and I think they made what was sit like 52 size as well
Thats tight hearing you go to a hobby store back in the day. I want to see more, the rig looks like its on some 42s. 30:23 thats my style.
Thanks Rc brother brought back some very good memories of my Dad and I.

@fezzolare Thank you, Tamiya is definitely on the higher$$$ for me, that's why I went with HG on this Bruiser clone build and it's been a blast!!!!
