  • Gunk and particles from your hose can build up and block the intake nozzle of your DeWalt Pressure Washer. While trouble shooting problems, I discovered I needed to carefully pop out the mesh filter and give it a rinse and gentle scrub with a tooth brush. The entire assembly can also be removed by pulling out the "U" shaped pin. Make sure to unplug the washer first before making any adjustments.

    Great tip Jenn!
I am on city water, yet there was a small pebble that damaged the shower valve cartridge. So, yes, check and clean the debris strainer on your pressure washer.

Omg! I guess I never thought much about it until yesterday.

@Jennyfromtheshop I wish it wouldn't have happened with the pebble in the shower but could also damage my washer. I can go to my local hardware store and buy another shower valve and get one relatively fast, replacement is easy, the washer, not so much.
For this reason, I have been looking for a good whole house filter to remove all debris that can cause valve damage.
