This game's soundtrack is pure adrenaline and over the top: "Rule of Nature", "The Only Thing I know for real", "I'm my Own Master now"... it makes me wanna throw hands 😂
Apparently this was Jamie Christopherson’s first time composing a metal soundtrack and what a great start it was. Another track from this OST that’s worth a listen is Red Sun, easily one of the standouts.
Fun fact about this song you may think it's just another badass theme song, but in reality it the lyrics has a deeper meaning, same as most of the other boss fight songs in the game. this songs describes the journeys that Raiden had since the beginning of this game.
Im just gonna be honnest. You HAVE to react to all of the other main boss themes from metal gear rising, they are all increadibly unique and badass at the same time, i have absolutly no doubt that you will love all of them.
Ah sweet you finally gave this game's OST a shot. You're gonna get a lot of recommendations from more of this OST and imma tell you most of the songs are great. So if you feel like reacting to more, any of them work tbh. BUT if you were to ask me, "Stains of Time", "The Only Thing I Know For Real", and "Collective Conciousness" are my personal favorites. Side note. All of them have the same "theme" but they're all vastly different from each other and they're all a treat.
Now react to The Only Thing I Know For Real (yeah, the name sounds familiar) Btw, completely agree on the "nonstop action" feeling, in the game it is playing in the end, so it makes sense. Nice reaction!
You NEED to react to "Rules of Nature", "Collective Conscioussness" and "The only thing I know for real" (my personal favourites) Edit: Also "Stains of Time" almost forgot about that one
@@cheddarsunchipsyes8144 ngl only a certain part of that song is really all that good. Still a nice song tho it’s just mainly the drop is the good part
this is one of my favourites because its the final boss's theme but its sung in the perspective of the player character you should really check out stains of time or a stranger i remain from mgr
Honestly, the main reason the instrumentation doesn’t slow down is because the boss fight it’s tied to never slows down either. Also the vocals have more meaning when you know the boss fight in question, the vocals are actually very symbolic of the MC and the Boss in question.
Been one of my all time fav games since i first played it in 2013. Soundtrack is absolutely ICONIC. Whenever people are talking about what the best game OSTs are, this one is top of my list every time
try hearing "red sun: sundowner theme", "the only thing I know for real: Jetstream Sam theme", "collective consciousness: excelsus theme " and "stains of time: moonsoo"
I didn't enjoy this song at first, but then I played the game and now I totally love it. Played during my favorite fight, the adrenaline rush it gives.
Well you gotta understand how the game usually runs the lyrics is the ensure that the boss when it's low enough it will stay back and wait on the song to get to a point where they can seamlessly flow into the lyrics just perfectly at the absolute peak of the fight to get that dopamine flowing check out a rules of nature metal gear ray fight However for this one the music is only played once over as it only play once during the true final Battle against the strongest enemy you face who shares similar values but they are against you in the way you achieve them and truly as the song states many have burned and no one is to blame
You should definetly react to the rest of this game's vocal soundtrack , every single one is a banger. I would reccomend using videos with lyrics aswell to not miss vocals.
Ok this is sick! But I do have a suggestion for future Metal Gear Rising OST reactions: If you find the 'Maniac Agenda Mix' of a song (for example this channel should have those that exist: ua-cam.com/channels/w1KDHMRCrbSyTTwhf2z0tw.html) it means that instead of being simply extended, instead in the first half it's just the instrumental and the vocals kicking in in the second half, I like that so much. So for the first half you can take in just the intruments and when the vocals join in it's elevated to the next level.
ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy if you want to react to one of these again i recommend "the only thing i know for real" and "collective consciousness". other good ones are "red sun over paradise" "stains of time" and "rules of nature"
This game has a lot more songs to offer: 1) Rules of nature 2) I'm,my own master now 3) The stranger I remain 4) Stains of time 5) Red sun 6) The only thing I know for real 7) *Then goes THIS song* 8) The hot wind blowing All of these are huge metal-electronic bangers, all deserve to be listened. Highly recommend.
you have to do "Rules of nature" Vs metal gear Ray "hot wind blowing" Blade wolf Boss DLC " there will be blood shed" jet stream sam battle w/ lyrics all from the same OST
Bro, if you reacted to the other boss themes from Metal Gear Rising, it’d be amazing, if you enjoyed this one, you’ll absolutely love the others. I’m subscribing on the off chance you see this and decide to give ‘em a shot. Have a good one man!
i will state this whial the extended versions of the tracks have more views DO NOT LISTEN TO THEAM AS YOU’R FIRST LISTEN! they are fan extended and looped in bad ways not intended by the original composer or song just by people who wanted the songs to be longer. so it takes away from alot of the magic the original song has.
Definitely a better listening experience if you played the game beforehand: fast paced, full of action... really makes the blood flowing when paired with the music!
