This is now my favorite version of this song. Your voice works so well with this song and the additional lyrics add an amazing amount of depth to an already amazing song.
The second verse had me FLOORED. Lyrics were perfect add-ons to the original, the voice is immaculate, the guitarist is top fucking notch, the drums are peak performance, and the video was masterfully edited. 11/10!! SPECTACULAR!!
I wasn't expecting that second half being more unique, pretty neat. Being in a different scale kinda makes it a bit more special in that cover, I enjoyed a lot, 9,5/10.
It's effectively a conversation between the protagonist and the final boss of metal gear rising. How both characters are doing what they do to change the world for the better and shouldn't be fighting eachother.
And how both understand EXACTLY why they fight. But the world one wants is fundamentally antithetical to the other. And they both willing, maybe even eager, to die for their ideology. Hence: "Standing here, I realize You are just like me, trying to make history [...]"
i must say the lyrics later in the song, near the end, is a nice change, yet still in line with what the song itself was trying to say "you are just like me, trying to make history, but who's to judge, the right from wrong, when our gaurd is down i think we'll both agree that violence breeds violence" the original lyrics are a good view of human nature, who gets to decide who's in the right? maybe no one is; but acts of violence can only lead to more acts of violence "standing here i realize; theres no right - no wrong; everyone sings their song" that is exactly what i meant; perhaps theres no right or wrong, we simply 'sing our song' "- i think we'll both agree: that hatred breeds hatred" indeed, violence and hatred tend to go hand in hand and can both be self perpetuating
This was the song that got me to subscribe after a lot of just viewing of the channel; This one is a step above an already great catalogue! Thank you for all the work in Vocals, instruments,Editing,The new lyrics and anything else that contributed to this greatness!

The additional lyrics might not be canon but what a nice touch, I've gotta say. It simply is a nice touch.
"I said that my sword was a tool of justice, not used in anger... not used in vengeance... But now I don't know anymore... and besides... This isn't my sword." - Raiden (Metal Gear: Revengence) 2013
fi had waited almost 10 years for one who can sign this ost SO PERFECT OMG GIRL YOU´RE AMAZING
Your voice and those instruments absolutely NAIL the emotion in this song! The world needs more good MGR covers, and you just delivered. Well done!
my mind is blown away from this i missed metal gear rising vengence so much im glad its brought back and this music a beautiful fine remastered no not just remastered a improved upgrade i hope you make more songs from MGR Vengence im in tears of joy such outstanding memories from it
I thought "it has to be this way" couldn't sound better but you proved me wrong.
ПОЧЕМУ У ВАС ТАК МАЛО ПОДПИСЧИКОВ В ВК? ВЫ ДОСТОЙНЫ БОЛЬШЕГО!!!
When our guard is down I think we'll both agree : An excellent singer breeds a marvellous song.
the "beneath the blood stained saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand" part was beutiful
Now there’s a pretty meme. Exquisite! Now it's "Stains of time turn"
I better put to zero the game's music, sound effects and voice and play this music while i play
Cuz this is something else
Meaning awesome
This is now my favorite version of this song. Your voice works so well with this song and the additional lyrics add an amazing amount of depth to an already amazing song.
Guess you graduated from The University of Texas ...
I'm gonna play this cover everytime I fight Armstrong. Hope to see another MGR cover like I'm my own master now.
You will see
Same on both levels. I managed to do a female cover of Master Now and I think I might be the first but I would die to see her do it.
So many years and this song is still so epic.
Waiting for The Only Thing I Know For Real (Jetstream Sam Boss Fight OST) :D
Hey the fact that you change the lyrics a little, makes it unique, pretty good job!
You followed your wrath, I cut my own path. We are not the same.
*Straightens tie aggressively*.
Making the mother of all remixes here, Jack! Can’t fret over every note!
My only want since playing this game is for this song to have another verse. Thank you for doing god's work.
This is everything I wanted from a cover of this song! And the added lyrics are so awesome!
Unfamilliar with this one but thoroughly enjoyed my introduction to it. Great Job
It's effectively a conversation between the protagonist and the final boss of metal gear rising. How both characters are doing what they do to change the world for the better and shouldn't be fighting eachother.
And yet they have to tho both wish it wasn't so. There's a reason this song fits so many fights with the same theme.
And how both understand EXACTLY why they fight. But the world one wants is fundamentally antithetical to the other.
And they both willing, maybe even eager, to die for their ideology.
Hence:
"Standing here, I realize
You are just like me, trying to make history [...]"
I'm just going to go ahead and say it. This is the best cover you guys have ever done for a video game
i LOVE how these MGR songs are FULL LENGTH!!! Deeper Lyrics, solos and riff fills. amazing!
This hits different now
Nanomachines Son!!!!
Only thing I know for real is you guys rock!
i must say the lyrics later in the song, near the end, is a nice change, yet still in line with what the song itself was trying to say
"you are just like me, trying to make history, but who's to judge, the right from wrong, when our gaurd is down i think we'll both agree that violence breeds violence"
the original lyrics are a good view of human nature, who gets to decide who's in the right? maybe no one is; but acts of violence can only lead to more acts of violence
"standing here i realize; theres no right - no wrong; everyone sings their song" that is exactly what i meant; perhaps theres no right or wrong, we simply 'sing our song'
"- i think we'll both agree: that hatred breeds hatred" indeed, violence and hatred tend to go hand in hand and can both be self perpetuating
*"Making the mother of all covers here, Jack- can't fret over every songs!"*
Amazing cover, Raiden and Armstrong must be proud
Here after discovering the Only thing I Know and have to repeat how well done your covers are.
Congrats.
This was the song that got me to subscribe after a lot of just viewing of the channel; This one is a step above an already great catalogue! Thank you for all the work in Vocals, instruments,Editing,The new lyrics and anything else that contributed to this greatness!
Very good! It's such a shame this song has almost no covers in UA-cam, I hope you guys cover the rest of the soundtrack, great job!
Yessssss! I so wanted this for so long. I'm not even sure if I pleaded them to do this a while back ago.
i have to be honest, i'm not a fan or your singing - it doesn't mean it's bad, it's just not my taste - but your SAND was the most powerful i heard !!
Beautiful cover. Gave me chills
The guitarist is having a blast, it's such a pleasure to watch.
can we replace the game's version of the music with this one🥰👍
not sure how this ended up in my recommended but i'm not complaining, this cover slaps real hard and i love it
Nanomachines, Son!
"I said my sword was a tool of justice. Not used in anger. Not used for vengeance. But now... Now I'm not so sure. And besides, this isn't my sword."
10/10 would love to hear collective conciousness next
Making the mother of all omelettes here Jack. Can't fret over every egg
This version has something soothing to it.
Don't get me wrong, it still slaps like crazy, but it feels like, after all these years, we finally came to term with it having to be this way.
How peculiar.
‘You should try fighting for what *you* believe in sometime Jack. Not for a company or a nation, or anyone else.’
What about “The Only Thing I Know For Real”, “A Stranger I Remain” and “Stains of Time” with other incredible songs from this game?
Up
They're doing them. :)
@@xkavarsmith9322 yeah, I see. Still waiting “Stains of Time”))
i keep coming back to watch your MGR covers over and over.
this in particular after 50 views at 2:10 still give me goose bumps: DOPE 🥰🤩
now I need a cover of A Stranger I Remain and my life will be complete :))))
Oh original lyrics to extend the song. Now that’s different. Very nice.
Mandando um oi do Brasil, seu canal é incrível continue assim!
Metal gear rising foi um dos jogos mais marcantes da minha vida toda :)
É um dos melhores Hack'n slash!
Brasileiros podem saltar doble ;)
BRASIL SIL SIL SIL
MEMORIES BROKEN
I heard this randomly on Spotify I loved it but I was busy at the time and couldn't see who it was from then while I was mopping floors at work I wanted listen to a 'It has to be this way' cover and Low and behold it was the first one that popped up amazing cover keep it up
watching from Brazil good music and good game perfect in your voice.
I am so glad this game has started to get the love and attention it deserves. Its definitely a meme for the ages now, but its also got such a good story and so much character. That and the music slaps. Maybe we'll finally get the sequel we deserve?
Excellent cover!
Been absolutely dying waiting for a kickass cover of this for years! Bloody awesome! And was that second verse and chorus wrote by you? Because it fit right in. Went above and beyond with this one
Thank you very much!
Yes, second verse and chorus are written by us!
Utterly fantastic. If my say it's one of the greatest covers of the song.
@@GOLightUp i feel like the second verse is more so Armstrong's POV as raiden is unsure that him and Armstrong are ideally the same, whereas Armstrong more sure that they have same ideals just different methods.
The additional lyrics of this one are the best youve ever done. “Hatred breeds hatred” is so fucking good
This is amazing. We need more It has to be this Way cover like this!
4:09 absolutely angelic yell there, *WOW!*
Fabulous version as always
bro i dont give a SHIT about the additional lyrics, her voice on "BLOOD STAINED SAND" was so god dam amazing. i got the same chills as the one i got when i first played metal gear rising and listened to this banger
Love the new lyrics !
