You obviously are not educated you didn’t do your research. He did not say those things about people. Kamala Harris is calling us Nazis. Are you fucking kidding me?
When people call him a bully, I can't take them seriously anymore. They're either dishonest, or they don't have a grip on what's really happening to even have an opinion.
J6 was a set up didn’t you see that all the FBI they set them up they went there to be heard that’s it. They they’re about to do this again on a much much larger scale and it’s the one doing it is Nancy Pelosi, and hold her fruitcake they don’t wanna lose you as their cash cow don’t you get it?
They have showed you the only thing they want to hear and if you listen to that vile jury Reid, when was the last time she talked about a policy never all she does is call people names you’ve been hoodwinked big time your children for God sakes
John Solomon with Just the News exposed several weeks ago that Trump commanded protection from the National Guard before 6 Jan but his orders were ignored, stymied and stunted by Gen.Milley et al, along with packing the outdoor protests with Feds to usher them into the Capitol, now eliciting illegal actions, the prisoners at J6 have never been arrested nor indicted for insurrection much less for firearms (the Feds and Capitol police had the firearms)
I see Trump as the one and only Sheriff in a wild-west town filled to the brim with scoundrels, bad folk & outlaws. It's time the town folk stopped cowering and got together and supported him.
Democraps are used to spaghetti spined RINO Swampers who either are all-on to their agenda or wishy washy enough to tolerate their crap. And then along came Trump!
Who knows. This dude talks in circles. On one hand the elites are gods and are required for a society. On the other hand they're toxic and corrupt. Then on top of that, he won't support a party that is looking to replace the corrupt elites lol. Dude has been in the academy bubble for about thirty years too long.
Me too!! Even around 1972 or 1973 when I was about 5 or 6 years old I did not like the Democrats.. it had nothing to do with the people but it was the politicians and it was because when it came down to elections they always used scare tactics and threats.. I didn't like it as a kid and they still use it and more.. they've already broke the law and broke the election rules in Georgia in about six counties this weekend and I knew they would do that.. the Republican national convention and Trump filed a lawsuit and the state rejected them so they filed it with the federal court.. WHAT the state legislature had for the election rules were that they were going to be able to vote in person with the drop boxes outside until Friday evening when the polls closed.. after that nobody would be able to vote in person early or Dropbox until absentee or mail-in ballots came in from Saturday and Monday and Tuesday and people who came in to vote in person on election Day Tuesday.. OMG!! The excuse for Gwinnett county DeKalb Cobb Clayton county and Fulton county once again was that there were so many people voting they wanted to keep the polls opened another day for today. It wasn't the whole state but just these five or six areas.. it has Stacey Abrams and cheating Democrats all over it!! These election laws were made before the election ever started and they broke them as usual and they broke the rules and the law . In the meantime the federal court told Georgia to sequester the 106 votes that came in yesterday in person but to also sequester the Dropbox votes..SEE?? THAT'S WHAT THEY WANTED IS FOR THOSE DROP BOXES TO STAY OUT THERE FOR ANOTHER 24 HOURS SO PEOPLE COULD COME STUFF THEM. Oh it makes me so angry.. Democrats or any political party that does stuff like that in the USA never stopped to think that the whole state can be stripped of their electoral votes for doing something like this and it could avoid every single voters vote.. they never think about anybody else but they think of themselves!! Chances are that won't happen and chances are they did not sequester all those Dropbox ballots either.. they may have the hundred but when a 100 people come in and vote on one day in six different locations that's not very many and the reason they did it was just to keep the drop boxes out an extra day because that's where people cheat.. So I'm praying that all these votes they have collected get thrown out but that's a Georgia power workers do what they are told... Right now we're waiting on the federal court to decide..
On the contrary, I think the human race has overtly promoted natural stupidity. You’ve only got to look around at our political leaders, their greedy hubris being fed by another layer of powerful megalomaniac fools, who openly risk humanity for selfish personal gain.
I'm a single woman above 50; made some mistakes in my life where relationships are concerned for sure. I love my male friends & admire their tenacity to make it through this world. I feel no bitterness toward them & don't have a house full of cats. I can't fathom buying into the superficial platitudes & phony cloak of virtue that the new Cheney aligned admin puts forth. Yeah, I admit I cried & believed the nonsense about orange man in 2016, but then my bullshit meter starting ringing with the insane amount of fear mongering from the media. It caused me to take a deeper look. He's a flawed, tone deaf boob most of the time, but his obsession with the country looking recognisable again is authentic. Yes, he is narcissistic, but I don't believe it's "all about him" this time. All one need do is listen to him speak repeatedly in non political interviews throughout the last 40 years and the proof is in the pudding. My female friends are not happy w/ me currently, and to be honest I now question their judgement. It's just hard to believe that anyone doesn't see the unspeakable phoniness of it all.
Exactly! My best friend has TDS and we simply cannot discuss this. I told her to imagine either candidate being unable to finish their term. Which VP would be better for the country? I’m so impressed by Vance, as well as Gabbard, Ramaswamy, and Kennedy. I feel that President Trump could put together a great cabinet without resorting to relatives.
To be fair, Trump can absolutely be a bully. It’s not so bad a thing when you need one who will look out for your company’s/ countries interests against people who would go against it.
I’m a Swedish hardworking grandmother, I spend as much time as I can with my grandchildren. I see it as my responsibility to pass on values and life experiences because that’s the meaning of life! If I could afford to stop working and helping out more I would do it with no doubt!
@@sherylrodkey5666 Trump is PERFECT for this day in time. Perfect! We need his imperfections and clearly we need China, Russia etc. to think Trump is an a$$hole. We need a protective a$$. He's knows his own personality and uses it for good. But why do ppl say "I don't like his personality " but I will vote 4 him. Ugh what American can offer perfection? And thank God Trump isn't perfect
High respect for the interviewee however I disagree with painting President Trump as not an adult, a bully, and not qualified to meet the moment we are in. Kamala Harris is grossly unequipped.
Agreed. Trump ran a demanding business in which the products could not be faked. For academics to dismiss him on the basis of style, when they have not set foot in his world and would be totally incompetent in it, is presumptuous.
@@MikeKabaWike Still more qualified than Kackala who wants to be unburdened from her own doing. Of the 2, she's useless by comparison. She's a loose cannon stuffed with wiffle balls.
@@MikeKabaWikeon the Rogan show, he talked about something I had never heard of, the hypothesis that we are seeing the catastrophic whale deaths we are seeing because windmills make a sound which may not bother us, but if they are too close to the ocean, they essentially drive whales crazy. I find this fascinating. There does seem to be real scientific support for the idea. Is it true? I don't know. What I do know is that Trump's capacity for flexibility of thought and for creativity far exceeds yours, and that I doubt I'd be bored to have dinner with him. I can't imagine wanting to split a Coke with you.
Trump isn’t a “wolf in sheep’s clothing,” but he’s a poodle in sheep’s clothing. He can be a goofy, drooling dog with some predator instincts. But he is not a wolf.
New Yorker "in your face attitude", even taken to extreme, is not bullying either. I as former favorite target of bullies have a clear sense whom is bully, and Trump don't give me those wibes - AOC, Hillary, Schumer, Kamala, Brandon, Fauci, Garland etc. and woke mob does.
I agree! I have a rule for myself. I comment first, before I look at the other comments. That way, I know I am authentic. I was presently surprised to see the excellent comments of others, just great!
What Trump is doing to politics in America is what Eric Weinstein should be doing to the science community. Gotta have balls Mr. W. Sometimes that comes in bully form.
Or at least looks like bully form. Standing up is never easy, can look like something other than it actually is. Trump is not a bully. He is standing up to all the bullying, not only to himself, to all of us !! That is why we love him, or at least why I love him. Also, bc he loves America, Americans, that is the truth.
It looks like Eric is having a difficult time leaving his cult. Its been his identity for likely most of his life. Hopefully he's able to overcome. Thank you Winston
He still defends them. He is a naive intellectual who only paid attention when it finally had a direct effect on him. He's not awake, he still thinks he's in a bad dream that might just go away. It will get worse before he gets better, sadly.
Or he is a classic Democrat. Just like Trump is still just a 90s NYC Democrat. Then you have an army of the exhausted center from both sides yelling "be in my club! Confirm my beliefs!" Which makes it a religion, not an ideology. Most of you can't even name your state senator. I am curious after this election how many just ended up sitting out because of this rhetoric.
For many intellectuals like him, Democratic Party politics is a religion, their faith system. But I still enjoy and benefit by listening to his insights.
I like Eric because he says a lot of things that need to be said, but sometimes he makes points that don't need to be made because they come out of his self-described bubble. He likes to label things, call himself a Democrat, but when Winston asked if he had a problem being called a progressive, Eric took offense to it. The thing I like least it how Eric takes a stand on so many issues, especially against his own party, but when it comes down to it, he's not willing to punish them by voting against them. That says it all, really.
Of course trump love’s power he has been a major business man for most of his life. To take on the responsibility of president you have to be able to handle the power you have. Maybe the difference is trump wants that power to benefit America and not just the elites. But don’t be fooled all these politicians are not sacrificing their lives for nothing.
Standing up for yourself when the entire global elite community, the entire msm, the entire entertainment industry, the entire DOJ, the entire big tech community is ganging up on you, is not being a bully.
America has definitely top notch people but to say that the Presidents need to be one of them is wild. This is how Hilary & Pelosi think and act. He should be finding out more about AI which is trying to eliminate even doctors.
In the world of "eye for an eye", if you want to poke your neighbor in the eye, first wear an eyepatch and go about town claiming your neighbor poked your eye first! Now you can "retaliate". This line of bs works with the short people nearly every time.
It’s called self defense. I don’t think trump would have name called and poked fun at things had he not been bullied beyond human comprehension. Put any other human thru what trump has gone thru for the last solid 8 years and I’m sure they would have retaliated or even worse, committed suicide. It was every hour, every minute every second of every day. It hasn’t stopped since the day he won . That’s a lot for a person to endure. U think he has to rise above and act presidential thru all of that? I personally think he has. He didn’t go after financially those that persecuted him relentlessly, he didn’t hire a hit on any of them, he didn’t threaten their lives like they have his, he didn’t retaliate in any way. Show me a man that could endure that and not become bitter and resentful! He is just a man, not a super natural entity! I give him grace.
If you Re listen to his discussion on The Elite, I think he condemns the low quality of the privileged who are not the Elites of the society. He even goes so far as to say that our political pool are not even adults. And how sad this is for the entire country. Look to Canada as we watch a DRAMA Teacher destroy our country. It’s absolutely blatant that our cabinet has many inept, insecure children with No Elitist credentials to hold their cabinet positions. And those who do are either fired, or have resigned.
In 1974 i had a 7th grade english lit teacher of Hawaiian decent in Cupertino CA. that taught us all about Shakespeare. We studied 4 of his plays in deph and had to memorize lines. Those days in public education are gone except in elite private schools.
Both brothers, Eric and Brett Weinstein, capture my attention every single time. Both have a unique ability to explain using both theory and scientific facts. Fascinating and enlightening.
The things he is saying do not sound wise to me. I’m sure he is much smarter than I, but he’s lacking on some points, and he is truthful when he says he has lived in a bubble. He’s not very encouraging and sounds like he is giving up. He still blames conservatives, and some of his arguments are apples and oranges. I’m not sure if he’s sorting his thoughts while giving this interview, but it seems he’s stuck in what he believes his ‘party’ is supposed to be about. I think what he says about AI is spot on. When people don’t have a ‘job’ to do, they many times become bad actors, but Dude is so naive about the progressive party being for progress. They have always been taking the system backwards in the name of control. He is thinking of the ‘literal’ definition of the word and not what it means to the party of today. It’s like talking ‘democracy’ to an Islamist. Their definition of democracy is different than what it is to someone who lives in a democracy. He doesn’t yet understand that the progressive liberals of today accuse the opposition of what they’re doing. He doesn’t understand that we are in the ‘days of Noah’ when evil is considered good, and good is considered evil. Lies are considered truth and truth is a lie. We are in a time when everything is opposite and if he wants to change that he needs to take whatever breath and time he has left and fight, and there is always dignity in doing the right thing when your former cohorts are telling you you’re wrong. Never give up. Never, never, never give up. Never give up.
@karenhill3558 well, men tend to be more conservative and more logic-driven. Emotions don't win arguments, but weak men might let an excuse to make emotional decisions change what they do. I still think conservatism is more contagious in close proximity than leftism.
The legacy media outlets need to be Sued for spreading lies about people who they don't like! Needs to be actual reporting of facts by journalists not talking heads!
YEs,Yes,Yes. but the truth is, TRUE journalism is dead. Their employers, the major news outlets censor their reporting or fire them. So we will never get the whole truth.
Well, consider this. if Journalism suddenly disappeared in the US (western world) 10-20 years ago, it means that it actually disappeared 20-40 years earlier. It hit rock bottom one death at a time (death by lawfare).
I felt emotional listening to him talking about the UK. Our country used to be so great, and in just the last 10-15 years it's been systematically destroyed. He thinks we can pull ourselves together and fix it, but he doesn't realise that it didn't happen by accident. It was deliberate. It's hard to identify the real enemy, and so we don't know how to fight it.
It’s hard to tell who the enemy is because everything is compartmentalized and that’s the way they want it. That way you don’t know who to complain to or who is to blame.
I think it is primarily due to Marxist ideas, received through higher education, firstly imposing and then using cultural/colonial guilt to make people ashamed of the achievements of the British culture. Once being British (and the values accompanying that) became undesirable then it nefariously corrupted the societal sense of national identity such that being patriotic (or simply proud of the country's achievements) became associated with racism and the far right.
That it is!!!!! It’s not an election of R vs D. It’s a spiritual battle of good vs evil. We are living in the days of ‘voting to keep God at the helm and not allowing these people to dominate us to the point of finishing off the family ‘. We have been given our children to be raised as WE see fit. Not the govt’s place to tell us how, nor to do it for us. Look where that has gotten us. They are trying to destroy the family unit by demasculating our men and boys. Don’t let them do it America. In the end, God wins, therefore we will win. God bless. Go vote like your life depends on it because it actually does.
@@theunknownatheist3815 Fair enough, but think about what *power* is. It's not a material commodity - all the tangibles are just *symbols* or *results* of power. It's not merely psychological strength either, which is subjective and individual and would have no way to subdue others against their will. The best description of a power struggle is a clash of spiritual forces. Plenty of regimes have sought after that kind of force to augment their bid for power, without resorting to religious jargon. They've called it "psychic" ability, "occult" arts, "mind" control, "cultural" traditions. Despite that, they all regard Jewish and/or Christian faith as a threat. That's the ultimate giveaway - if they weren't spiritually based, they wouldn't care.
I have always thought of England as like our sister country. Our cultures are similar. Music, literature. Freedom. Many of our ancestors came from all over Europe. I have always just felt like we are connected. When I see England hurting, it hurts me too. Right now, we all seem to be experiencing the same problems at the same time.

Eric is such a know-it-all. What he calls “bullying” is one of Trump’s greatest strengths. He punches back and takes crap from noone. He is a perfect representative of what America should be. And he’s the first “conservative politician” to have a pair of balls. And that’s why we love him! And Eric giving Trump basically zero credit for taking on Elon, Tulsi, RFK. He calls Trump a narcissist, but a true narcissist would not share the spotlight with these other superstars IMO
Thank you!! I had no idea that Bret had a brother. I was confused by the hair. I thought Bret had colored his hair. Now, I will pay better attention to the first name. This explains my confusion with many of the comments.
Article IV, Section 4 states: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence." Aristotle also pointed out that "Democracy" is the corrupted version of Polity (such as our Republic). Plato, likewise pointed out that Democracy devolves into Oligarchy (which is what we effectively have now). So, when you side with the democrat party, you side with the Elites ruling government, and government benefiting the Rulers. If he were to understand the Republican vision, which is to serve the People at large rather than the Rulers, I think he wouldn't have such a conundrum.
If the leaders in the GOP were true to that vision you would be correct. But the old guard GOP are MIC (Cheney/Bush connection to Halliburton big example). They are Uniparty/Establishment/authoritarian bent as much as the most ardent leftist, just more buttoned up about it.
Nah i think hes too stubborn to admit hes not longer a democrat even to himself. Hes grandstanded for years on the "im a democrat!" Line that i dont think he could ever bring himself to let that label go
It's possible to no longer identify with your old party without automatically identifying with another. I feel politically homeless right now, it sounds like that's where Eric is as well.
Respectfully, If you can’t see the Republican and Democrat Uni party and you’re blind, sir. The establishment the uni party is the enemy of the people.
I was a single woman for a long time. Why? I could not find a Man who wanted to do Marriage, Husband, and Father things in California. The men I met in California wanted to be boys and not men. I finally did marry at age 36 and moved to Missouri ! But the factory was done, so no kids. Not my fault, I was not going to raise a child solo. It's not all the fault of women.
Inviduals used to choose between worldly dystopian lifestyles, or traditional marriage. Now, anyone who wants traditional marriage can't choose it, because there are so few other people who want traditional marriage, young men can't find wives, and young women can't find husbands.

What a pompous jerk! How dare the rest of us not understand that he's got the wisdom we all need to fix this world if only we'd listen to him.. He's part of the Democrat party problem.
I try to keep up with Eric after I was introduced to him from a Rogan podcast. I want him to run for office. He calls himself an elite and elites are here to serve. After I had a bad concussion, his words pushed me to go back to school, to learn about the world while I am still able. On Friday I take an oral exam for my Masters in Statistics. He recommended "The Road to Reality" by Sir Roger pen rose which I have been struggling through in my free time. In that book and from other experiences I have felt physics is probability. And I think Statistics is the art of Logos, the art of logic. And I wanted to understand it so that I can understand what information is worthwhile digesting. Statistics is the basis for machine learning, "AI". In the past he was a little too doomy for me, though I think it should be expected of the elderly. Basically I want to say I appreciate you Dr Weinstein. As lame as it may be to say you have helped inspire me to find meaning by pursuing knowledge.
So why, is Weinstien still a democrat???? Or democratic or UNdemocratic? I do want to say that Winston Marshall is one of the very best podcasts out there. Truly great mind.
I am none of those things. I am an American. I vote the way I think will be best for my life. I align with no party. I consider both parties to be compromised.
Yes, no doubt both compromised… yet, one of them is not only compromised but has an anti-human- anti-reality ideology as their actual fundamental basis and guide for action !
Ok this is madding, I have watched you and your Brother for months now not knowing you were not one person. I just watched Bret on Winston Marshall. I can now see the differences. Love you both ...still .. even though you are not the same person I thought you were. My brain hurts.
Technically, they are both part of the same single unified field ω (omega), which dances upon the 14 dimensional _Chimeric Fiber Bundle_ C(Y⁷·⁷), a particular choice of cross section of which yields our X¹·³ spacetime, and the remainder combination of dimensions describes the 10 dimensional Hyperspheres of split-signature g⁶·⁴ which exist at every adjacent infinitesimal point of that psuedo Riemannian differential manifold. Other choices of allocations of an Arena are possible, but it is only this particular choice of: (7, 7) - (1, 3) = (6, 4) which results in a remainder that perfectly describes the symmetries of all phenomena without our Universe according to the isomorphism which exists within the following Unitary product group: Spin(6, 4) ≅ SU(4) x ( SU(2) x SU(2) ) ᴸ ᴿ This _Pati-Salam model_ is P-symmetric and non-chiral and it includes _The Standard Model:_ SU(3) x SU(2) x U(1) ᶜ ᴸ 𝛾 Which is chiral and violates P-symmetry and fails to incorporate Dark Energy and Dark Matter. This is a huge clue that it is not the whole story, and there exists an elaboration which unifies all of the phenomena which have been observed and inferred within our spacetime, and spacetime itself: Spin(1, 3) x Spin(6, 4) → Spin(7, 7) This ω (omega) can only exist as a single unified field when it has 14 dimensions to operate in, so from within the restrictions of our X¹·³ spacetime it breaks into Bosonic force mediating fields like Photons, and Fermionic matter manifesting fields like Quarks and Electrons, from which Atoms are constructed, then Molecules, then DNA, then us. Interestingly, this (1, 3) split signature is the only combination of dimensions in which it is possible to tie a persistent knot, so if you were to have it be (1, 4) the knot could slip its bounds through an adjacent hyperspace, and any extra temporal will allow for navigation back to a point in the past before the knot was tied and an alternative history could be established where it was never knotted. DNA can't replicate unless it is in X¹·³ spacetime, and ∑ (1, 3) = 4 which is the initial basis X⁴ from which Eric Weinstein grows his proposed work in progress that aspires to become a _Unified Field Theory._ He calls this _Geometric Unity_ and it is persuasively compelling because it achieves an elegant economy of expression through a reliance on symmetry, a quality which has guided many famous theoretical physicists, like Paul Dirac and Chen Ning Yang, to appreciate beauty in their mathematical models of physical reality, as a clue to pursue even when initially they may entail ramifications that don't make sense as they imply new phenomena which have not been observed in experiment. The Scientific Method is then applied as experiments are constructed to, say, determine if there is the predicted positively charged version of the negatively charged electron, and when this is found we realise there exists a whole new form of antimatter and name this positively charged C-symmetric version of the electron the positron. I have some confidence that _Geometric Unity_ will replace _General Relativity_ with something that is less restrictive, which allows for a more elaborate and symmetrical _Quantum Field Theory_ that incorporates both the Bosonic force mediating fields which are thought to be responsible for the accelerating expansion of the Universe, and the Fermionic matter manifesting fields which are thought to be responsible for contributing the missing mass that is spread throughout galaxies causing them to gravitationally cohere as they rotate: ω = (( ε, ϖ ), ( ν, ζ )) Bosons, Fermions where ( ν, ζ ) includes Eric's prediction of exotic Rarita-Schwinger Spin 3/2 Fermionic fields Essentially, the reason we aren't all aware we are a part of ω is that we are trapped within X¹·³ and that limits the degrees of freedom needed to take its natural form, and consequently the restriction forces everything into this baroque pattern of forces and matter which we confuse as waves and particles, when actually everything is just one field named omega.
Oh good grief. He voted for the man, he has changed people 's minds about who to vote for. Just like with Trump, look at the actions. They matter more than words.
J6 was a unmanaged mob that got subverted by what they refer to as glowies. Trump as a populist figure managed his mob through twitter and not intermediaries as is traditionally done. Why do you think they cut him off. And the whole Truth X thing. Ultimately that was the reason for the downfall of Julius Cesar. Shanked by career politicians for bypassing them. Trump admits that one of his major obstacles was not having a trustworthy cadre (elites , middle managers) in his first term. He has remediated that this time around. Jews have historically competed for the role of these overseers. I think that is what Eric was getting at without explicitly stating it. Populist mob revolts are usually a response to overzealous overseers. Especially if they belong to an insular in group that looks down on the plebes. Jews are very existentially and reflexively afraid of mobs. We see some histrionic historicity some projection some competition. None of which they will admit to in their Machiavellian aim to be the last in group standing. You should “notice” their handy work on intersectionality. Blending other in groups to the point of absurd degeneracy.

He is the smug. Bret is much more likable and reasonable. This man speaks as himself as an elite as the Democrats looked down on me in the same light. Eric is not looking for solutions. He’s looking to complain. Mike Cernovich was right.
I think you're close Dr W, but the point isn't so much that it's bad for the man to stay home and care for the home and kids, it's that NOBODY is taking care of the kids. Children are being raised by day care. Also, women have gotten the idea that a father in the home is unnecessary. There are circumstances were there is no father and that can't be avoided.
Main thing I want my President to do is love America and Americans. Then get other America loving 'elites' and 'smart' people to do stuff the President is not an expert in.
I watched it unfold that day and it was officers waving the people in and they were mainly just walking through sightseeing. There were some bad actors but they were being egged on, and not by the President, but by other people in the crowd.
Sometimes Eric is too taken with himself and being clever and obtuse. But yah who cares if the presidential candidates understand how LLM’s work? This is an absurd point and a complete misunderstanding of what the president does.
Greetings from California! Winston, you have an eloquence and class about you that I find so refreshing. Thank you for enlightening my soul each time I tune in. Godbless you, sir.
My god, if falling back on a government safety net plays into your decision making process, you are lost. Safety nets are not the job of the government in our constitutional republic. Wanna make better life choices? Assume the government will never help you.
Eric is an intellectual Cat playing with a Winston mouse. Only an American would endlessly engage in such softly ruthless one-up man’s ship and reference name dropping. At the same time bringing so much to the conversation. Weinstein has illustrated his own point, that American culture requires the British counterpoint. a brash and unapologetic celebration of performance comes face to face in conversation with understated polite yet often perplexed host.
I’m American, I appreciate Dr. Weinstein (though I don’t agree with all of his opinions), and I agree with this. I sometimes think that British hosts allow American guests to show who they really are by sitting back and letting them preen and pontificate. A vibe similar to the one in this interview appeared to be present when Konstantin and Francis of Triggernometry hosted the increasingly insufferable Neil deGrasse Tyson. He nattered on with comparatively little commentary from them, revealing his foolishness without assistance.
The answer to your question at 1:14ish is fairly simple. Just think how cell phones have eliminated the need to remember phone numbers, read maps etc. Technology is replacing the need to function at a higher level!
I think Eric has a different understanding of 'the elite' than 'the peasants'. I don't see Eric as 'the elite'. I see him as an academic which certainly is not 'the elite' nowadays. 'The elite' is the super rich and people in positions of power. He has no power.
It’s easy to think he’s just some nerd who spends his days scratching out equations on a chalkboard, but he’s the managing director at Thiel Capital and is a multimillionaire. No, he’s not Elon Musk, but he’s in the 1% club.
Eric, you are so inspiring to listen to and actually give me hope. I’m 69 years old and am watching the world I grew up in become as you say a “school yard.” You show us all that we are not as conservative or liberal as we may think we are and have far more in common than they want us to know. Thank you and know that you are relevant.
“The fact that so many successful politicians are such shameless liars is not just a reflection of their character, it’s also a reflection of us. When people want the impossible, only liars can satisfy them.” - Thomas Sowell

God bless Eric Weinstein and Winston , this was one in a thousand totally beneficial (to me)discussions. I feel uplifted and grateful for the future ❤❤
I don’t wanna be a part of this either and I haven’t wanted to for a very long time. I am most, definitely however, voting for Trump. If Kamala is smarter than this, she better start acting it because she looks like a complete buffoon. She has said on more than one occasion that she wouldn’t change anything about the Biden Kamala regime. From where I’m sitting, there is a lot of change needed in many areas.. She’s acting like it’s a game and it’s far from a game. All I’ve seen her doing is cackling and avoiding every question that comes upon her. It’s sickening.
Yes, Dr. Weinstein, we do, in fact, come from a different planet. We are living i😮n a parallel universe where intellect, critical thinking skills and basic common sense are absent. Thank you Winston for another outstanding podcast.
Eric is spot on with his definition of the elite,I have never heard it better expressed.Thank you Winston for this interview .Eric and his brother Brett helped me understand Covid, during that time.
Trump saying mean things about people who smear and bully him isn't bullying. And he didn't do anything wrong on J6.
Standing up to bullies does not make one a bully.
Bullies always play victim and pretend cry when the target retaliates.
Very well put !

Well I'm a single woman and i wouldn't vote for a left wing party. Not any more. I used to. Then I grew up and saw reality.
But the fundamental question is : Have you ever historically voted for a left wing party ? Saint Obama , for instance ?
@@bobbya51 There's an election in two days, so no your question is in no way fundamental.

The problem is we are Spiritually Bankrupt, politics cannot change what is going on, we have to change ourselves morally to improve what is happening.

What Trump is doing to politics in America is what Eric Weinstein should be doing to the science community. Gotta have balls Mr. W. Sometimes that comes in bully form.
Dr. Weinstein needs a class of my dad's - Lead, follow or get out of the way. Don't just sit there and whine.

It's not bullying - it's elbow tactic.
Who's bullying Donald J Trump for the last 8/ 9 years. ?
Oh good grief. I give up
Or he is a classic Democrat.
I agree. Sounds like he is having his midlife crisis.
For many intellectuals like him, Democratic Party politics is a religion, their faith system.
But I still enjoy and benefit by listening to his insights.
This brilliant man's hubris is his kryptonite - Well handled Mr Marshall
I like Eric because he says a lot of things that need to be said, but sometimes he makes points that don't need to be made because they come out of his self-described bubble.
He likes to label things, call himself a Democrat, but when Winston asked if he had a problem being called a progressive, Eric took offense to it.
The thing I like least it how Eric takes a stand on so many issues, especially against his own party, but when it comes down to it, he's not willing to punish them by voting against them.
That says it all, really.
I have to say that President Trump LOVES America. Democrats love power.

Of course trump love’s power he has been a major business man for most of his life. To take on the responsibility of president you have to be able to handle the power you have. Standing up for yourself when the entire global elite community, the entire msm, the entire entertainment industry, the entire DOJ, the entire big tech community is ganging up on you, is not being a bully.

It's hard to identify the real enemy, and so we don't know how to fight it.

Check out the videos by Richard Behiel. I recommend the one: _Deriving the Dirac Equation._
Agreed.
well said
I'm Australian. I agree with your analysis. And here in Australia much the same. Both our major political parties are compromised.
Yes, no doubt both compromised… yet, one of them is not only compromised but has an anti-human- anti-reality ideology as their actual fundamental basis and guide for action !
Agree 💯. Well said.
You might not be having an election but those of use who don't have tds are voting Tuesday
Brilliant! Trump 2024
I’ve never seen this side of Eric. My respect for him has dropped by the minute.
I’ve seem him exaggerate his importance & become downright grating, a few times. And some of his views are over the top & not aligned with mine.
Eric’s grandiosity is stunning. Thank God for Brett.
Thanks for a wonderful conversation. So much respect for both gentlemen.
Other choices of allocations of an Arena are possible, but it is only this particular choice of:
(7, 7) -
(1, 3) =
(6, 4)
which results in a remainder that perfectly describes the symmetries of all phenomena without our Universe according to the isomorphism which exists within the following Unitary product group:
Spin(6, 4) ≅ SU(4) x ( SU(2) x SU(2) )
ᴸ ᴿ
This _Pati-Salam model_ is P-symmetric and non-chiral and it includes _The Standard Model:_
SU(3) x SU(2) x U(1)
ᶜ ᴸ 𝛾
Which is chiral and violates P-symmetry and fails to incorporate Dark Energy and Dark Matter. This is a huge clue that it is not the whole story, and there exists an elaboration which unifies all of the phenomena which have been observed and inferred within our spacetime, and spacetime itself:
Spin(1, 3) x Spin(6, 4) → Spin(7, 7)
This ω (omega) can only exist as a single unified field when it has 14 dimensions to operate in, so from within the restrictions of our X¹·³ spacetime it breaks into Bosonic force mediating fields like Photons, and Fermionic matter manifesting fields like Quarks and Electrons, from which Atoms are constructed, then Molecules, then DNA, then us. I have some confidence that _Geometric Unity_ will replace _General Relativity_ with something that is less restrictive, which allows for a more elaborate and symmetrical _Quantum Field Theory_ that incorporates both the Bosonic force mediating fields which are thought to be responsible for the accelerating expansion of the Universe, and the Fermionic matter manifesting fields which are thought to be responsible for contributing the missing mass that is spread throughout galaxies causing them to gravitationally cohere as they rotate:
ω = (( ε, ϖ ), ( ν, ζ ))
Bosons, Fermions
where ( ν, ζ ) includes Eric's prediction of exotic
Rarita-Schwinger Spin 3/2 Fermionic fields
Essentially, the reason we aren't all aware we are a part of ω is that we are trapped within X¹·³ and that limits the degrees of freedom needed to take its natural form, and consequently the restriction forces everything into this baroque pattern of forces and matter which we confuse as waves and particles, when actually everything is just one field named omega.
Yes, I would like to hear why Eric think J6 is Trump’s disaster.
Oh good grief. He voted for the man, he has changed people 's minds about who to vote for. Just like with Trump, look at the actions. They matter more than words.
J6 was the biggest Nothing Burger 🍔 in American history. It was a. Protest that went bad.
They can never exsplain, wooz news exsplained it perfectly
To bad for the Demorats he was wrong!!! People love TRUMP!!!
Hell is the place where truth is unholy
It is the absence of good, the absence of God.
Great Statement!!! (and so very true)
Bongino warns his audience to be aware of the Stupid Smart People.
I know people believe Eric to be this great genius, I can't stand him. I like his brother, but this guy doesn't pass the smell test.
@@smelltheglove2038He says so much (too much) and loves to hear himself talk, but it’s all half-baked. Almost makes a point then he’s on about something else, and it just keeps going.
@ShiftHappens78 I know what you mean. I've heard him talk about this theory of everything like four times, yet I still have no idea what it is, or even anything about it really.
What does smart stupid mean please? 🇺🇲
@@smelltheglove2038why?
My finnish mother does this today. She helps all of us,3 childen with our children. 6 grand children. With love and care.
It seems like he is trying to make both sides equally as bad so he can feel better denouncing the party he has been aligned with his whole life. I don't feel like that kind of approach will change anything.
He is the smug. Bret is much more likable and reasonable. This man speaks as himself as an elite as the Democrats looked down on me in the same light. Eric is not looking for solutions. He’s looking to complain. Mike Cernovich was right.
I agree
Eric should know it is Americans appreciate and value English literature more than us, thankfully - Is he not aware of that?
The Weinstein Legacy: knows every answer but still fails the test.
I not sure that I know what you mean, but I think I agree.
The mediocre physicist. Every sentence underwritten by pompous insecurity.
Define this "test" you speak of?
The Internet
Has he heard of Elon Musk?
I find him hard to listen to😂😂😂😂
Eric why don't you try running for President let's see how it works out for you
BOOM !!
The dream team 2024!! Trump Vance
I hope this channel gains the following it deserves. Cheers to the English from across the pond, a friend from Las Vegas.
And the bigger problem is that putting children under three in childcare causes irreversible emotional harm.
Main thing I want my President to do is love America and Americans. Then get other America loving 'elites' and 'smart' people to do stuff the President is not an expert in.
If you think Trump loves anyone or anything but himself…I have a bridge to sell you.
@@MikeKabaWike yeah, well, try to sell your bridge to your side. We don't need it
Kind of odd to quote James Brown there. The whole song says "It's a man's world, but it ain't nothing without a woman or a girl"
I watched it unfold that day and it was officers waving the people in and they were mainly just walking through sightseeing. There were some bad actors but they were being egged on, and not by the President, but by other people in the crowd.
Yeah, Eric is brainwashed about J6. I think he has some serious undiagnosed TDS.
I agree! Weinstein, however, has none. An empty chest beating ape who has learned the art of put-down to defend his intellectualism🙄
I’m from California and I feel the same about Winston
@@nancydelvalle7728I'm Spartacus, and so's my wife!!
My god, if falling back on a government safety net plays into your decision making process, you are lost. Safety nets are not the job of the government in our constitutional republic.
Wanna make better life choices? Assume the government will never help you.
👏👏👏
Winston Marshall did a outstanding job with Nancy Pelosi 👏! So i think he could do a good job answering questions. He's a smart cookie.
That was classic with Pelosi😅😅😅
The fact that he did not win that debate makes Oxford students look EXTREMELY bad.
This video should have 39 BILLION VIEWS WORLDWIDE!
How did you settle on that number?
I don’t think 39 billion people ever existed.
The answer to your question at 1:14ish is fairly simple. Just think how cell phones have eliminated the need to remember phone numbers, read maps etc. Technology is replacing the need to function at a higher level!
A beautiful intelligent man, Winston 🤩
It's the accent. It's all mind control 😅😅 kidding he's cool.
He's agnostic , how intelligent can he be?
@seanpritchett-b3f oh did not know that...
@JackieBlue65 in fairness, she did use intelligent, not wise or wisdom. Do not confuse the two
I think Eric has a different understanding of 'the elite' than 'the peasants'. I don't see Eric as 'the elite'. I see him as an academic which certainly is not 'the elite' nowadays. 'The elite' is the super rich and people in positions of power. He has no power.
Well yeah so what is he an elite of biology ?
It’s easy to think he’s just some nerd who spends his days scratching out equations on a chalkboard, but he’s the managing director at Thiel Capital and is a multimillionaire. No, he’s not Elon Musk, but he’s in the 1% club.
He’s def an elite. Profs at top universities consider themselves part of the elite and you better agree with them!
He is no different as he is saying we need rule by expert( what we have now) and despises populism.
Feel blessed I was able to get to know Eric Weinstein in this interview. Thank you.
Winston, these conversations with Eric are spectacular. Thank you.
Keep up the GREAT work, Winston 👍
“The fact that so many successful politicians are such shameless liars is not just a reflection of their character, it’s also a reflection of us. When people want the impossible, only liars can satisfy them.” - Thomas Sowell
For a progressing, Eric is remarkably conservative. His harkening to the mandolin and Middle English shows more a desire to dwell within ringing echos of the past than to eschew them for a modern dream
Theres no other like Eric to invite. He’s the one and only
Pretty hard listening to thus man…
Same here, all the time highly intellectual and highly abstract talk
The left literally despise the right wing. It’s not just in America. It’s the same in the UK. It’s also the same in Canada, Ireland and Australia. What happened to respecting our disagreements?
No, they hate Capitalism. That is what they want to destroy. That is what this is ALL about
The Left are demonized.
Don't forget New Zealand
Great to hear from Eric before the election Great Interview have to say Eric saying he thinks Kamala may be competent is disturbing We know honestly He doesn’t believe that
Thank you both! Especially for the second part of the podcast!
She doesn’t seem like a serious person
@ Not in the least.
Not
I agree. She is totally out of her depth. Who would really be running the country if she got in.
First he calls himself elite, then says elites don't exist?
ERIC is not a demi-god. Stop treating him as such. He's absolutely no better than you and I.
He thinks he is a demi-god.
Agree!!!
I can remember when a Demi-,wave was £40
Just much smarter. And yes, it does matter. Get over yourself!
He's not "better" than I am but he's clearly a lot more intelligent.
