“”Over and out” is only said in the movies. If you say “over and out”, you will fail ICUT.”
    -Lt Col Dave Schuh, CAP
“It’s a “push to talk” button, not a “push to think” button. Know what you’re going to say before you push the button.”
    -Lt Col Sam Swindell, CAP

It’s pronounced “co axe”. It’s short for coaxial cable.

Thank you! Does your unit or group have radios available to use at meetings for training? We use radios pretty frequently for ground search and rescue exercises and operations.

hello I'm trying to do ICUT but the videos will not load. I couldn't find a fix so I was wondering if you know how to fix it.

Off topic, but you are a wealth of information. I promise this will be my last question (for a while). Thank you for your patience. I understand that Senior Members have an optional Physical Fitness Test. I have been all over the web and cannot find the standards for this test. Can you give me a reference? I am setting my physical fitness goals for 2022 and want to use the CAP PT as my May goal. Thank you...again. -Phil

Senior members may participate in PT, but there is not a PT test for senior members as far as I am aware. If you would like to take a look at the Healthy Fitness Zone activities the cadets are required to complete, here is the link to the guide: www.gocivilairpatrol.com/media/cms/6050_February_2018_E94B4D1143452.pdf

Good info. Just an FYI. The phonetic alphabet "Quebec" is pronounced "K-bec" on the radio.
