A reputable gun shop will spend whatever time you need to answer questions and concerns, and let you shoot, talk about different types of guns, etc. You’re a great shot with no glasses. Definitely take the concealed carry. Take your time and see what fits - you may want to check out more than one gun store/range.
My father was in the Marine Corps. I have shot a rifle at a range with other individuals. It was an amazing feeling. I know the feeling. Have an amazing week. Cheers.
I am a novice with a weapon but shooting without spectacles can be daunting and very possible, so I would say you did very well so practice is the key. Just that may be enough for you, the learning relax and enjoy I like it too
Before retiring, I drove 75 miles round trip to my job. My husband bought me a gun and signed me up for a concealed weapons license training. I just carried the gun in my car. It was a colt cobra 38 snub nose. We would go out into the desert and practice shoot. It was fun. Now that he has passed I own a little 22 that sets in my nightstand, might not kill an intruder, but it's better than nothing.
I think it’s amazing that you got to shoot the S&W! I was like you also until my step-brother (retired sheriff) taught me how to shoot and let me shoot a variety of weapons he has in his arsenal. Now I’m thinking of getting one as well. Yes it feels really good to shoot at targets and hit them. Very empowering. Good for you hun! Much love ♥️
You should keep that target I keep my targets that way you can see how much better you got from the first time and yeah, you did pretty good on your first time .
I carry an equalizer. It’s a 9mm But I’d rather have it on me than not if somebody breaks into my house I can protect myself It’s scary world I’d rather carry, but some people wouldn’t and that’s fine too. You might want to ask them about a small gun they can fit in your pocket or your bag
Back in the day, before automatics, we would spend hours shooting reloads at the range. I loved stainless steel and carried a S &W model 67 (6 shot) or a model 60 (5 shot). My first automatic was a Walther 380 then we ended up carrying 9 mm. Fast forward to today, I don't own a gun.
Steve, please do not forget that Gov. Walz is an avid hunter and has some guns. As to your comments about the experience and possible costume change next time, I hope you wear whatever makes YOU comfortable zaps you did today. Dress to please you. I remember when my Mother lived by herself, she walked around inside a night with a loaded Colt in her hand - just in case. Herman
😂 I went to one of those practice session and I could even cock the gun. The grabbed the gun and he says "you need to do the beginner class." That was my only attempt and never went back.😂
The background application to buy a pew pew is on the computer and you instantly know if you qualify and it is a Federal background check. The 3day thing is so last century. It is thrilling. For me it ranks up there with $ex and flying. The more you practice the more comfortable you get. The Gun Store guys are really good and knowledgeable. The CCW class is really good. You learn NV law, Federal law. You learn about Stand Your Ground & Castle Doctrine. They have you do active shooting techniques and practice. I say go for it. You're prepared and hopefully not ever have to in real life.
I don't believe in guns - good Canadian here. It's not part of our culture outside of hunting. I would be more concerned that you would not shoot someone when it came down to it and be more likely to end up with it being turned on you.

…Steven in Goodwill looking for camouflage. Haha!
Steven, you might not have your glasses on if someone broke in on you suddenly. I think you’ll do great with them on, though! ❤
“I wasn’t feeling like it was my native environment.” Huge LOL!!

You did great. I would like to suggest for you to try a round of sporting clays at some point. That is so much fun and very addictive.

You did great being your first time. I own v2 firearms 32 auto (hollow point Shell's and a 9mm.
Hey Steven, you did much better than I did when I first shot at the target. I've gotten much better over the years. I have a pew pew for self-defense.
I don't blame you for wanting protection! Good for you.
"His glasses, he can't see without his glasses" 😂
They're just for distance. My Rx is a -1.00. The world is just a little more clear with my glasses. But, I often go without.
Wicked cool video. Thank you :)
