Thanks for the shout out - look at us idiots running up the Royal Mile with our long selfie sticks! 😂Great to meet you and best of luck for your ultra in September. I found this race tough going as well. Had no idea about the river crossing at the foot of Blackford Hill - or maybe I went the wrong way. But at this point I realised I was definitely wearing the wrong shoes for the race... Great event though. Congrats on the video and keep up the excellent work 👍
Thanks very much! Looking forward to seeing your video and how you got on 👍 I did find it funny that your stick is visible and mines isn't at that part 😂 I managed to avoid the river crossing at Blackford... Maybe that was a shortcut? It's a tough race that is for sure!
@@RunEdinburgh I had no idea about the route between Braid Hill and Blackford Hill and blindly followed others. Not sure it was the right way to go! I don't think I will be making a race specific video - my intention is to make one video about all of the running I have been doing over the past 12 months and this would be a part of it. Trying to move away from doing lots of running videos as this is not really what I want my channel to be about (plus my enthusiasm for running fluctuates an awful lot!).
The rope at Craiglockhart was missing last year too. It was a sketchy climb up without it.
I decided to take the path and lost time. How did you get on? Didn't know you were running 🙂
