My wife and I bought the cub with a loan. The main purpose of the plane is for time building and honestly, as far as planes go, it was not very expensive. It sips fuel. And is suuuuper slow which is great for time building. Maintenance is very inexpensive because it’s such a simple plane.

@titusdrye5845 that’s exactly what I had in mind. I’m sure you’ve heard it already but be sure to get a good prepurchase inspection. The up front cost may save you from a multi thousand dollar mistake!
