Any and every record is in jeopardy when any of these amazing athlete's take to the track. There is no certain time when records are to be broken, they are there and available for the taking, each and every race.
Have the fastest humans ever competed in the 60, 300, 600 meters? Seems niche and it's why they are breaking them. Are there 100, 200, 400 meter dashes for indoor?
Yes but for most of indoors they run off distances but the really important meets like most conferences and ncaa champs they have the 200,400,800 but there isn’t a 100 for indoors
@J 0 facts, also alot of the best never ran indoor or limited there time indoor because they were aware of being fresh for outdoor where it really matters. Indoors is just good warm up, but for alot of sprinters they rather keep there legs fresh.

This is supposed to happen. Specifically in athlete's. Every 30yrs there is a jump in the natural evolution in the human body. Take a look at the evolution of any race from 100m to the marathon, u will this exact thing happen. Record drop, as the human body evolves, and if u add technology, diet, better coaching, etc.. well here it is. Let's be happy we are alive to witness this. Because in 10yrs it will level off again.
While it is interesting that athletes are breaking 300m/600m times, it isn't noteworthy (I don't think) unless you can find a way to compare those times against 300m splits within other 400m races or 600m splits within 800m races. Since these are uncommon racing distances with MANY fewer events/athletes racing them, of course it is going to be easier for them to break those existing record times.
Wrong. 1:15.58 was his HSR 600m . This time was .24 faster and more impressive - was his first race at 600m as a collegiate while likely in the middle of an insane training block.
Why is this happening? It must be the shoes right? I mean what else could explain it. Is there some legalization of steroids, or maybe a speedup on the time keeping devices due to unknown cosmic forces ( ha ha ) Really do a video about WHY ??? Because this year truly seems unprecedented.
Who do I need to sleep with to get rid of this stupid reaction time rule? It is hurting the sport, penalizing athletes, punishing the fans, and adding zero value.
Anybody with a "reaction time" of .10 seconds or less isn't reacting to the gun at all, they are guessing the gun. In fact .115 seconds is about as fast as any human can react to the starter's gun because that's the physical limit that the human body can send a message from the brain upon hearing the gun to tell the feet to start moving. So when you see a "reaction time" under .115 seconds that person guessed at the gun and did not react to it, meaning that the athlete is technically cheating, but by setting the limit at .10 seconds they have left a little wiggle room so more runners do not get DQ. And don't think the athletes don't know what they are doing, they know every time when they guessing the gun and not reacting to it. There are also many other things that can cause a false start, but I won't go into those now.
