- Adam Argyle (@argyleink) has what a lot of us might describe as a "dream job" - he landed a job at Google on the Chrome devrel team. I sat down for lunch with him at Lottie & Zula's in Portland, OR, to ask him how he measures progress and success after achieving what a lot of engineers might consider their ultimate goal.

Awesome series!
haha, @argyleink was all about the web analogies - this video was HARD to edit because it was so packed with great info
Love that opening shot! This is really amazing - There’s something about the theme of a brief casual chat over lunch that hits the spot for me. Just being able to watch without having to pause or come back to it like most podcasts is very nice. Looking forward to seeing more🤞
thank you so much! I’ve wanted to do a series like this for years (since I watched “Parts Unknown”) and I’m so happy it’s not just me that loves this format
Damn, this is cool! Crazy high quality!
thanks so much, James!
Love this. Can't wait for more episodes in this series. 👀
thank you! I’m on the hunt for sponsors and other support (e.g. paid channel subs) to make it possible to keep these coming 💜💜
Wow! This production is on another level!

"My whole goal is to make shit look fun" - YESS to that!
Fantastic video Jason! Message resonates a lot for me, and hopefully helps inspire a lot of others too 😊

Adam is so wonderful and I could listen to the two of you chat it up for hours.
he’s the best! thank you! 💜
On the topic of websites that deteriorate over time, Trello used to have those "stale" cards progressively looking like the paper is decomposing - it was pretty rad and unexpected 🤙
Fantastic format and content! Thank you, guys!
thanks so much!
This is so awesome! Adam has some great ideas!. Also, so nice ofd Lottie and Zulas to let you film
thank you! yeah, I was so pumped they were down to have us in there

Stumbled upon you channel on an Astro video and im GLAD I've opened you channel and found this! I'm a fan of Adam!
thanks so much!
"Did you leave the industry better than you found it" is an *exceptional* personal metric to go by ❤
I'm quite literally considering making merch out of this quote
@@learnwithjason I'd buy that!
Dude I love this format! Such good vibes and interesting content.
You should definitely make a "Developers in cars getting coffee (or burgers)" series 😁
thank you! I'm hoping this can turn into a series (assuming I can lock down enough sponsorship / channel membership to cover costs), and the goal is to try and riff on that Comedians in Cars + Anthony Bourdain vibe
Love it!!
thank you so much!
So good!
thank you!
so wholesome ❤

Awesome video, but not nearly long enough. This felt like a highlights video but I want the whole thing!
I'm planning to drop the full conversation unedited for channel members soon - about 50 minutes total
That's a deal! I was thinking of joining anyway, but that's enough to sway me straight away :D@@learnwithjason
thank you so much@@AdamtheADHDev !
MORE. OF. THIS.
thank you! I’m working on it 💜
