Total Solar Eclipse from a Drone, a GoPro, and a 35mm

  • The July 2, 2019 Total Solar Eclipse as viewed from Los Molles, Argentina.
    The three views are:
    - Top Left: Drone View
    - Bottom Left: GoPro View
    - Right: 35mm with long lens
    The drone and GoPro start at the same time, about 5 minutes before totality, and continue until a few minutes after totality. The 35mm images are from the beginning of the eclipse until sunset. This is about an hour before totality until and hour after. During totality all three cameras in sync.

    Nice…I did a 3 way view for the 2017 US eclipse but not with a drone!

    Did shooting this with your drone damage your camera or any of your cameras in any way?

    Great footage, Bruce! How big a lens did you use? Is that 600mm? Also curious what the equivalent mm was for the drone and GoPro if you remember. Thanks for sharing!

    is pointing hte drone at the sun before eclipse a ba d idea? even if its not directly AT the sun?
