The number of times I yelled, "that's not what she's saying you idiot!!"
My favorite comment was Janelle's telling us she ran a mental cost/benefit analysis of Kody. It was perfect. I hope she uses whatever behind-the-scenes leverage she has with him, negotiates a good deal with TLC and never looks back.
I loved that sentence, too. She dropped the mic with that one!
"Cost/benefit analyst" and "appointment" really showed Jenelle's emotional distance to their relationship which I think is for the best.
Robyn taught him “transmute” after finding a thesaurus. The word is transference. Kody and Robyn are both intellectually and educationally challenged, but naturally indolent and manipulative while lacking integrity.

I listened to a podcast that said a source said Kody reads the Reddit threads, and I believed that beforehand. He has been using specific words written to describe narcissists' traits, so he is definitely seeing what viewers say about him, reading up on narcissists, and like the true one that he is, PROJECTING those words onto others. Shoot last season he straight up used "narcissist" first. Unsurprisingly Kody had the gall to say Gabe and Garrison were narcissists!
The way he says, aren't you going to give me a hug reminded me of the way he approaches both Savanah and Truely when it comes to affection. Nobody knows what he wants and this is their reactions.
They are supposed to jump and serve him. They should be thrilled to see him. Ego issue.

Not once did he let her finish what she wanted to say! You could tell she became more irritated as the time went by! And she wasn’t happy when she came to discuss their relationship and all he did was talk about Christine
Mykelti reminds me so much of a cousin that constantly made out like Switzerland (didn't take side in family conflicts) and "got along" with everyone. She made out like she was a safe person to vent to or confide in. But she was also the one who was gossiping about everyone behind their backs and using information to benefit herself. Robyn presents like that too, so perhaps that is why she and Mykelti get along.

Janelle reminds me a lot of myself...we're brooders. Folks like us need time to process things and come to our final conclusion. That also means that it takes A LOT for us to lose our cool. When she started railing into him in their fight, I knew exactly how far he had pushed her to get to that point. She's gone dude....she is so gone she's already forwarded her mail. 🤣

I'm tried of Kody saying how independent Janelle is/was. What else can she do when he's only there 1 day out of 4? Someone has to make the decisions! Also, Kody's insistence that he deserves respect from everyone. No, he bloody well does not deserve it - he has to earn it and from what they show us on TV, he has NOT earned it.

I don’t believe for a second it would be two days with Robyn, then two days with Janelle!!
I didn’t hear Janelle say that she was enjoying her independence in the conversation at this restaurant. She has, in the past, said she is proud that she can do stuff independently, but in THIS conversation, Janelle was saying that she wanted to be separate. She said she needs to be able to focus on what she needs right now, (and I’m editorializing) not be bulldozed by Kody’s propensity to take advantage of her by having conversation and physical relations. Kody didn’t let her complete a sentence without interruptions.
The good part of this week’s episode was Robyn wasn’t on as much.
Amen I was so happy it was more enjoyable to watch; even though Kody was on a lot but I can actually tolerate his BS way more than I can with Robyn’s fakery, lies, Whiny puss face, her fake crying, drama and theatrics

Oh my his yes. It come out forced and awkward. Yuck. It had an abusive vibe. And I could do related to feeling forced to hug him. I don’t think she really had a choice. And I think it commented her desire to continue to be separate.

Of course he is. He has to listen to Robyn complain about how horrible her first husband was to her. He knows first hand what the new love interest could end up hearing. I bet Christine barely talks about him with David.

The part about Janelle is just there for my resources made me so mad! Who does he think was the other half of their resources for YEARS when the majority of them werent working, Janelle was the only one with a really good job for YEARS! She even says now because she helped everyone else out she has nothing left financially, and I believe it - she willingly did it those times because she was all in on the family and wanted to work together, but now no one wanted to return the sentiment and help her
narcissists always accuse others of doing exactly what they are doing. kody knows he only wants her to stay for the extra income because his favorite wife won’t get off her ass to even take care of their children
Kody was so annoying during his and Janelle conversation. He just wanted to talk about the pain and shock over Christine. Dude the wife that is right in front of you is telling you she is wanting to separate that you have work to do on the relationship but all he can do is ignore her and talk about Christine

How many times does Kody have to say he is not interested in Meri, and that he doesn't want to have a marriage with her? I mean, I've heard it many times myself, imagine how many times he's said it to her directly. Meri needs to move on.
I don’t think he said it to her. He says it on the camera. He says it is. I don’t think he ever bothered to be super honest with her. I don’t think they watch the show anymore. So I don’t think she knew. I think she learned last season.

They both know she feels guilty about the "catfish thing" and has been punishing herself for years. They play on her guilt. Then Cody tries to blame it on Christine.

There is a scene when they're in a car together where Kody manipulatively says to Meri, "You're not courting me though," (as if Kody!) and she replies with not knowing she was supposed to. In the same scene she then says something about waiting for him, and he says, "And I'm not coming." He told her on I think it was their 20th anniversary picnic (wtf was the point of picnic?!) that he's not interested. He also told her she should move to the B&B permanently, and that he doesn't understand why she keeps sticking around. I'm sure I'm missing more instances. Meri makes me feel over boiled with a shaking lid that's not allowed to blow.
The Kody comment that Janelle was just there for his resources is so contradictory to their history. He went crawling to Janelle when she first left because he and meri couldn’t afford to keep their house. Janelle provided the funds to pay it off. Aside from everything else she financially provided.
Kody walked into that restaurant, knowing that Janelle had one foot out the door. When he said he would love to kiss her "on the lips," omg, what a cringe moment. His pathetic attempt at trying to woo her back...ugh!

Agree, I think Mykelti & Tony are trying to get a paid role on any spinoff, or just regular pay for being on the current show. My guess is they (and probably Maddy) got paid for giving birth on the show. But Tony & Mykelti want to be full-time cast members.
They also got paid for the people magazine photo and story about birth.
I don't like them and have no interest in them. They remind me some of Grody and Sobbin.

His money is money, everyone gets a share of the TLC money even though it goes in his pocket so part of that is Janelle’s at least a fifth of it. Jenelle has worked at a job the whole time they’ve been married I believe and contribute out and put that in his pocket, so how does he get his money?
@@beverlynewer4681 it would be improbable that he ever made even close to Janelle in salary. He has invested in his side businesses and he has the land ownership screwed up to high Heaven. He owned 1/2 of all their Vegas properties, not because he put anything on them. So he has had more than any share he was owed. I just hope Janelle gets everything to which she is entitled.

Exactly! Kody has a very short memory and so does Robyn. Neither kody or robyn want to deal with any of the parenting that makes them uncomfortable like being called out by the kids for injustices experienced or remember that they were all bankrupt, or needed to rely on public assistance meanwhile kody always drove a sports car and we know robyn collects all her expensive junk!
Kody is nothing if not predictable. Now that Janelle has told him he’s about to lose her he will not make any attempt to win her back, he won’t fix his relationship with her kids, he won’t go to counseling, then he’ll say he had to completely ignore her and not call or see her because they were separated.

When he talks about giving all the younger kids time and affection. This show started when Truely was being born and Savannah was like 4 yrs old. I think those two kids have gotten the worst of Kody. He was always with Robyn and completely neglected Truely and Savannah. He is still neglecting both of them.

Meri keeps saying she doesn't want to give Kody the impression she's giving up on the marriage?? How absolutely sad she is still thinking this after all this time of Kody saying awful things about her and to her. He gave up a long time ago and Meri is still begging for scraps he can throw her way. Ugh - at least we know she does leave him and Flagstaff but seeing her like this is torture.

The bottom line is Christine didn't leave earlier because she wasn't financially stable and was scared to be on her own with 6 children. Trust I know, I've been there, minus polygamy. Kody needs to get off his soap box and realize deep down these ladies didn't agree to this show to convince the world polygamy was good. They saw this as a way out of poverty and struggle with a bonus trap door to exit this lifestyle if all went well. Kody didn't just start being a jerk...he's been one the entire marriage. And these ladies tried to put lipstick on a pig...they know they struggled requiring government assistance while Kody drove around in his dream car.
Mykelti needs to go. I do not enjoy her or Tony..

Does anyone else feel like all of his complaints with janelle/ Christine is because he feels like there’s threats to his masculinity? Like the whole Robyn/garrison controversy feels like he thinks that if he admits it was Robyn’s rules then he’s got a women controlling or whatever??? So, I am going to write this and see who feels the same way. When the show first aired, Season 1 and introductions were being made I noticed a few things- Kody was flashier and more fashionable than his wives who were pretty plain (as female modesty tied into their church doctrine). I also noticed that Kody loved his hair and he was Mister charming flashing his smile and running around like a rabbit on speed. He thought he was attractive and it showed and his wives did believe he was a cute catch. Remember his sports car?Then when Robyn was presented- she was younger, thinner, and less plain than the OG-3. Vain, middle-aged Kody instantly felt like he had a woman who was as desirable as he believed himself to be. He loved that he could lift thin Robyn over his head. Remember the honeymoon on the beach when Kody was lifting Robyn up and down? When Roybyn came on the scene his intimacy with the other wives decreased and now we know he was not intimate with most of them for close to 10 years. finally, I believe when Kody said, "The sacrifices I made to love you." to Christine- he was down low saying that he was able to compartmentalize his romantic feelings to be intimate with a woman he was not exactly attracted to. I would love to hear other people's thoughts on that. I know he talked about his other wives' bodies to Robyn- remember when she talked about how Kody was there for the weight gain and stretch marks and there were things that certain wives would not do because that wasn't them- how does Robyn know all that? Kody told her! Finally, I also have some side-eye recounts about Christine's behavior over the years. I may write about that- but I have to say- I am glad she divorced Kody and she is looking a lot better since she released herself from him. What do you think?
