Lorne Green from Canada! Watched everything I could find of his! And Dean was just always naturally welcome in the living room! Amazing ... very funny & quite competent, both of them, even down to the camera work!
Fun fact when my moms and her parents left central america in the 80's because of the civil war, they came to Nevada because they used to watch Bonanza on tv back home.
Wish we could have shows like this again. I have always imagined myself singing with a co-host and guest stars, these great classic songs as a host of a variety show like this. I would still feature Rhianna but I would not let her go on the stage half naked. But it's all a dream of the past time. Now TV has gone down to the dump.
well I know what you mean, but these shows really overstayed their welcome. You know, they were pretty phony but watching old clips like this does make you nostalgic.
If only Hollywood would be like this again. To the people of the mountain US states embrace this video with joy and pride, and embrace the entirety of the USA with the same.
The horses stole-made the show. Dean & Lorne were just back up--Perhaps! Dean Martin will be a hundred on June Seventh, 2017. His voice & music will live beyond the centuries. RMA; Bakersfield, Ca..... He was & still is the King of cool.....
Lorne Green might have less trouble if he'd stop pulling on the horse's mouth. That is a curb bit, which is severe, and one should always have the reins totally loose, no contact; just neck reining and using your legs, body for control. The horse fusses because the not-horseman keeps the reins tight, and hurts his mouth. Dean is the better rider by far.
I also noticed that.On the other hand, Dean loved horses and country music, westerns, and everything associated with them; actually he owned his very own ranch along with a couple of rare purebred Andulusian horses. 🐎 I remember him talking about them on the Johnny Carson show back in the day.
great song but when was this?????!!!...Bonanza went off the air in January of '73 in the middle of its 14th season I guess cause Hoss died huh?????!!!!...I was wishing I could ride with Dean on the horse he looked good as a cowboy huh?????!!!...wonder how they kept the horses calm?????!!!!!

I love this! The horses made it interesting and very funny!
Dean and Lauren were amazing but as insanely talented as they both are those two horses steal the show they're totally hamming it up
As a kid watching early 70s TV. I saw Dean Martin was on all variety specials. I did not know he was ever a film actor till later.
Omg!!! Didn’t know he was a film actor? Martin & Lewis! Guess which one Dean was.
That was pure GOLD !! Thankyou....
Thank you. Needed a good laff! They don't make entertainment like this anymore.

The funny thing is that in spite of all those years on Bonanza, Lorne Green hated horses.

That's all I could see too. And, I had so scroll down quite a ways to find someone who noticed it too. That horse was in pain.
Lorne admittedly was no horseman
