Never mind Dylan, we all blank sometimes, you weren’t doing anything wrong, some tides there’s just no fish feeding, there’s plenty more days ahead to catch fish.
Can't catch whoppers every time bud .... You'll get that bass soon enough.... But what a lovely evening you had there...its nice to be outside and breathing fresh air...Fish are the bonus 😂. Great video again thanks, as it gives us beginners hope and a lot of tips mate 👍
Thank you Derek, for me it's about having a go, I knew the conditions weren't great, the tide was good, but it was soo still, I had a good hound last time out, and for me, I'm not interested in targeting the same fish over and over, unless I can eat it😉👍🎣🎣
Good Morning Dylan , Unlucky mate but that's fishing , regardless of the blank your content is priceless so as always please take care & i'll see you on the next one , tight lines
Can’t fault you for effort Dylan, what a lovely evening to be out , Have you thought about maybe the east of the isle. the halland at seaview? can be some decent silver bars out there or yaverland. Best of luck next time out mate , efforts are appreciated dude 🎣👍🏼
Thanks mate, it was worth a go, but in fairness I think my chances were pretty slim. Trying to rack my brain or where to hit next, so maybe I'll give that side a go👍🎣🎣
Hi Dylan love the vids and your enthusiasm can’t believe you were out with Nobby who helped me on my renovations in Norton Green next time you see him tell him Jerry and Lenny send him our best and It would be great to bump into you as we seem to fish all the same spots
It was still a good watch. The sea looked a bit too calm for good fishing at this time of the year. You're absolutely spot on though - you've got to be in it to win it. No harm in trying & it's good for the feeling of wellbeing to just get out there & have a go. Better luck next time.
Difficult at the moment Dylan, went out myself on Tuesday night, fished until half past midnight & only had two whiting. Plenty of May-rot up the line every cast (don’t know if you get that down your way?) but sometimes the fish are not there. I thought you fished well, your baits were all well presented. Don’t be sorry that you didn’t catch anything. You did all you could. Better luck next time.
Thanks mate, yeah it seems that way, a bit quiet everywhere here. We do get the mat rot, but I haven't found any yet, that could change tonight though, so don't want to jinx it😂👍🎣🎣
Great effort Dylan! But honestly, I don’t think you had a cat in hells chance with those conditions. Flat calm, clear water, worst possible state to try for a bass, or anything else really (IMHO!) Look forward to a good storm!
Yeah knew when I got down there it was going to be tough, I was just hoping to maybe find one cruising around the rocks, I've had them from there before, but like you said, from memory there was a bit of wind chop on the water, I remember I had to change to grippers because my bait was swinging too much into the rocks, then I hooked up. Thanks mate👍🎣🎣
Hi mate. Surf beaches are best for bass with good waves, if its calm Try anywhere around rocks or river mouths they are always lurking around estuaries.
Thanks mate, yeah I had some good structure just to my right out of camera, didn't want to give too much away😉. I've had a few out of there in the past, but like you say, I think it was far calm👍👍🎣🎣
Unlucky Dylan, its good to still get out and try different rigs, baits and methods. Better luck next time Buddy, the venue looked beautiful. Regards Andy
I got to the end Dylan, still an enjoyable video looked very fishy when I seen the venue at low tide I was sure you were gonna catch something! That’s how it goes some times mate. Keep em coming !
Hi dude, bad luck on the blank. I was out Tuesday night and blank to.so it's just not you, lol. Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to the next video 🎣 🎣🎣
Unlucky buddy i find myself questioning my self after a bad session ive had a run of difficult sessions recently ( had a few good fish but ive lost alot of gear and dropped a couple of very good fish) makes me think of going back to my basics. Do think we over analysis our sessions as anglers and need to accept some times it just doesn’t happen. Sure you find a nice bass soon and your be back to feeling top dog. See you out there soon buddy.
Thanks Dan mate, I completely agree, when I've had a few bad sessions, I wonder what I'm doing wrong etc, but it does definitely make me more determined the next time👍🎣🎣
unlucky dylan great baits and rigs fish just not their bud good effort mate better luck on your next session ,happend with the smooth hound can see it happening with a huge bass take care stay safe cheers bud
Hopefully mate, be nice to get a nice 5lber for dinner. I feel my bait was on point, so like you say, I just don't think they were there this time, I've had success there before, so I'll keep trying😉👍🎣🎣
like in my comment abouttackle loss on wednesday i went on thursday as well after raiding the tackle shop for weights( bonus is he has 40% discount on everything) so saved a few pennys but went norton wall and everything was great.. no wind sea was very carm but had a sse wind fished the bottom of tide to top without a single bite let alone a fish also the angler along from me blanked as well.. it happens but was a beautiful evening and sunset..👍🏻🎣
Ah no way mate, Norton you can normally rely on something, it seems the fishing is pretty quiet at the moment everywhere, went out on a boat on Sunday, had a few bream and a 12lb hound on my bream rig, but it even then kev said it was quiet👍🎣🎣
Unlucky, Dylan, full marks for sticking at it, we’ve all been there. Early part of evening looked stunning, are the steps open now? Hopefully you’ll get a decent Bass on your next session 👍🎣
No mate, steps aren't open, it's just a long walk from the car park. I felt pretty good about it, but fingers crossed next time I can find something 🤞👍🎣🎣
You’ve been thinking of putting a bit of chum in I’m going to start fishing again this year and planning to chum I’ve thought of using spent bait plus a bit of fish plus Potato and sand Ball it up to say golf ball size and use a course fisherman’s catapult Put sand in so it sinks quick, what do you think maybe some fish oil
went cowes sea front for hounds on wednesday night changed 3 times along there and in 3 1/2 hrs i lost 10 rigs and 10 6oz weights..i was guttted 😢..every1 down there had same issue it was a disaster (for my pocket 💷)..👍🏻
Ah mate, that's a tough one, I reckon it's been getting slammed recently, people using too light tackle I reckon, and losing it, now there's tonnes of it out there. Unlucky mate, Shane as I was hoping to get out there again soon👍🎣🎣
even tho it was a fruitless session, i still enjoyed watching. right! ufo alert!! 26.53 and 29 mins in , right of the screen just above end of hill. im sure it was something like a chopper, and not e.t. netting all the bass out the drink. cheers. (expand the screen , u will see it better)
Big effort mate, entertaining vid all the same. Have you tried smoothie-hound? Used it at work for fish pie a few times, it’s not bad. Take it easy buddy 😎👍👍
Thanks mate, I haven't, I've often thought about it, but I thought it was a bit of a no no. It's like rays, I'd never take a skate, but there are so many hounds that come through, and I figure one around 5/6lb would be a good size to take. What do you think, would you do a catch and cook with one👍🎣🎣
@@FrugalOutdoors I was wondering what your opinion would be, I have no problem eating one, but there would be something really sad about dispatching one. I think anglers opinions would be split, between “that looks tasty” and “what the hell are you doing!” But the reality is hounds are far more prolific & sustainable than cod & we all know what happens to them. I might do a community poll🤔 cheers buddy, always good to hear from you, take care 😎👍👍
@@fishdisco3107 I've just put a comment on it mate. I think it's a personal choice, and people can have a habit of being hypocritical without meaning to be. Eat that but not that, take me for instance. I don't eat meat, but I catch, despatch, gut, clean, and cook the fish I catch. If I go out, I order the fish. So if I see you take one, it's game on, I'm gonna bag up😂😂🎣🎣
@@FrugalOutdoors cheers mate, it’s a bit of a tightrope to walk, to provide info & entertainment to the channel without upsetting the majority, hence the vote, which as you say will be a very interesting result to read…Thanks for your input & support, priceless 🙏👍😎😊
Thanks for that mate, it's difficult over here, and we don't have that many, we do have the main river in the centre of the island, but over here they tend to be around the points. It's interesting to see how different it can be in different places. There is one place I would like to try though, Newtown creek. That looks like it could be the type of place you are talking about 👍🎣🎣
Guy and Deb's bristol enjoying your fishing videos 🎣🐟👍 thank you 👍 lovely pb well done 👍👍
Awesome guys thank you, I'm really glad you are enjoying 👍🎣🎣
That's fishing Dylan, if they do not want to play ball, they will not. I really enjoy watching your vids, keep them oming.
Thanks mate, that's very kind, glad you like them, I worry sometimes that they are two long. 👍🎣🎣
Never mind Dylan, we all blank sometimes, you weren’t doing anything wrong, some tides there’s

Thanks mate, yeah fingers crossed I can tick that bass off soon. I might have another go this week, not sure yet👍🎣🎣
Unlucky Dylan. Great post as always though pal. 👍
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed👍🎣🎣

Unlucky Dylan. If the fish aren’t there then your not going to catch em.
Always next time bud.
Thanks for sharing

We all blank mate still enjoy watching 😁 i blanked after my last big fish aswel still chasing that buzz hoping for another soon 🤞
Glad you still enjoyed mate, yeah it about the chase isn't it. But then it can be a bit tough to take a blank after a pb😂😂👍🎣

Thanks is mate, glad you still enjoyed it, I knew I was limiting my chance on this session, but I'm desperate for some fish for the freezer😂👍🎣🎣
@FrugalOutdoors hi dude hopefully going out tomorrow . And yes, I wood like sume thick for the freezer to. 🎣🎣
I've just bought a sonik black bass rod first three sessions with it I had 47cm a 43cm and a20cm bass well chuffed.
Mate that's awesome, what a way to christen a new rod, really good going that👍🎣🎣

Lol, yeah I've got a few, not many left now though, hopefully someone can get some in soon👍🎣🎣

I’ve thought of using spent bait plus a bit of fish plus Potato and sand
Ball it up to say golf ball size and use a course fisherman’s catapult

That's a really good idea mate, I think the pellets they use for freshwater fishing could work well too, they are full of herring oil I think👍🎣🎣
keeping realistic... cool
Yeah that's how it goes sometimes. Show the failures, as the successes are that much more enjoyable 😉👍🎣🎣

Couldn't agree more mate, thanks for watching 👍🎣🎣
Unlucky Dylan, don’t think you could have done anything else that would have made any difference. Obviously not there that night 😢🎣🐟
Thanks Kev buddy, I've had a few from there before, so I know they are there, must try harder😂👍🎣🎣
Looks like a trip to the takeaway for you tonight mate lol keep trying
Lol, yes mate defo, managed to get out on a boat yesterday, had a few bream, so had a good cook up yesterday 😁👍🎣🎣
And you can also have the rings and weights lost in the rocks in Ventnor. Still here trying.
Yeah done of ventnor does look pretty snaggy, it's a shame as that's where those bass are feeding on the crab. Hopefully I'll get one soon👍🎣🎣

Defo mate, I had a nice evening done there, and still get that buzz from the expectation of that rod going at any time👍🎣🎣
is that brambles ledge mate?
A bit further over mate, towards colwell😉🎣🎣
Fishing, innit.
