Any time a new pedal i want comes out I spend time figuring out how to get it going in the Fractal, so owning an Axe has actually saved me a ton of cash.

Ordering the AXE III and FC12 later today. This will be the first patch I load. Already have the AX8 so this is going to be awesome.
That's so exciting to hear. Just make sure you load the cab up into the right slot and you'll be golden.
It all comes down to what u need and what you like. I mean it does not have the dynamics of a real amp but since the sound is there its probably alot easier to dial in to get a tone you like. I see this as the tool for someone who loves the playing part of guitar. Cool review!!

The Pissed Off 50 Watt is a work of art! This translated so well to my FM3 on Cygnus 5.1b, I only changed the cab to one of my favorites (EV12L) and I'm good to go. Sounds really, really good with my hands, my guitar and my overall set-up. Thanks man, you little ripper (is that the correct expression? If not, sorry)!!

I remember reading an interview with Joe Satriani where he said working in the studio was hard because he's go home and his wife would make him do the dishes, which would cause his callouses to soften and then he'd have a harder time recording the next day. Even rock gods gotta do the chores!

Why is the 68 plexi so low gain at least the pedals I’ve gotten as opposed to a 59 plexi? Strange.

You should be able to use fractool to get a readout of all the parameter values and then pop them into your II
G66 is the best, love them!
Does this still sound right with the current firmware? Are you still using this one for marshall tones or have you updated it if anything has changed?
I just put up a vid with the latest firmware looking at 4 of my favourite Marshalls. If anything I've narrowed the selection down.

Love your vids.. having some real angst wether to move an Axe Fx now that I'm pretty much a small pub player / play at home / record. Always been just a guitar and amp guy, but love the idea of a cranked Marshall at home! So, what do I do?

Hey man your axe fx tones are awesome! I just recently bought and Axe 3 and downloaded the preset used in this video and the cab from Axe change, but it’s not sounding the same to me when I plug in and play. Could it be that it was created on the new firmware beta? Or am I doing something wrong or maybe have to do some tweaking on it? I’m new to the Axe Fx!
What guitar and monitors are you using and what's your monitoring environment like?
Leon Todd I was monitoring though my M-Audio 4” studio monitors and then switched to my Audio Technica ATH M50X headphones to try those. This is all being done in my home studio
Don't be afraid to twist some knobs to get it working for your rig and your playing style :)

For what I like the Axe-Fx III takes the cake. Both sound great but the effects, Axe-Edit, flexibility and amp/cab pallette are second to none - which is why I own an Axe

Will the FM3 be able to produce these tones? I have a tube amp and pedals right now but considering diving into the digital amp world with the FM3. Also, would you happen to know if the FM3 takes drive pedals well?
100%, all the blocks will be in the III. The Axe takes drives great so I imagine the FM3 will too.
Burn--more my speed. Wonder what I would sound like--that thick lead was quite nice (that's mostly you)

I've done a few similarly ones in my free preset packs. You might be able to convert the first amp block over by dragging it into the FM3. Fractool will let you open the Axe-III preset and read out all the parameters too, so you could manually split it into 2 presets.

Hey Leon, That bridge position single coil on your Strat sounds really thick for a single coil. Is that a stacked humbucker? It sounds really good for those high gain Sounds.
Yeah they're very low output stacked humbuckers - a Dimarzio HS-3 or YJM, I forget which is which in that guitar.
I have a question and since the Fractal Forum is offline for a couple of days, I'll ask it here .... Has the new Hi-Cut / Low Cut controls in the CAB Block changed your approach to EQ'ing ? And when you shoot your own IR's is the Hi-Cut / Low Cut built in ?
i shoot my IR's raw so it's handy being able to experiment with mixes without having to use cab lab, and for fine tuning the stock cabs.
