- Knees are one of the most at-risk joints when it comes to BJJ
They're also one of the joints that we rely on most to develop a sound game on the mats. Being able to flex (or bend) your knee is essential for:
- Building a strong attacking guard
- Retaining your guard
- Effectively applying top pressure that requires a low body position, like a knee cut pass
Having had a knee injury of his own, Joey understands the reality of rehabbing a knee after surgery. One of the biggest hurdles in his rehab has been to get his knee flexion back. Knee flexion also happens to be one of the most common things that our community asks us for help with
In this video we share our top exercises that you can use to help get your knee flexion back. If you find it hard to bend your knee all the way, or you're unable to sit down on your shins, this video is for you.

Is this effective if your knee locks up in those positions normally?
Please suggest what equipment we can use at home?
A great package for home is a pull up bar, pair of rings, selection of 2-3 different weight kettlebells and a few resistance bands.
What do you think about the knee over toes guy (Ben Patrick)?
He has some great exercises, and on the whole I like the message. Def goes a bit overboard with certain claims, and makes a lot of people think deep squats will fix their knee pain (which in some cases will do the exact opposite)
Im italian sorry for the English, the crossack squat can halp for this kind of knee mobility or not?
Cossack squats can help too.
