Hey Kino, number 2 here. You asked a specific question in terms of the "buddy system" as you named it. First off, you're spot on, it's scary how correct you are.
The buddy system I share with my partner is of a psychic nature. He's super intuitive, while I lack intuitive skills. I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through something similar recently. Lost 5 of my cat babies over the last 2 years. They each died unexpectedly and very young and I'm down to my last kitty that's now 2 and half years old. So i know how you feel. I still haven't gotten over their deaths but the thought that gives me consolation is that i loved them and i know they loved me back. I hope you remember that and know that they're happy that they got to spend the time that they did with you.
