I love the this man. You can tell by the way he speaks about food that this is his passion, and by the way he fondles the ingredients 😂. I have cooked in many kitchens and can attest to the absolute master classes he gives away for free on UA-cam. Plus the way he says friends and onions, how could you not love this man? I wish I still lived in FL, I'd kill to buy you a drink. Keep on being one of the best parts of many people's day, including mine!

When this video came out I immediately saved it to my favorites. I mean, garlic, AND bacon? My two favorite things the world! I never imagined these ingredients in a soup, let alone a creamy one. I made it and it was fantastic! I could not conceive in my mind what all these things are going to taste like when you put them all together, and it was amazing. Since I started following this channel my kitchen has become my favorite room in my house. Thank you, Chef JP! (Those are my initials too!)

Chef you have increased my cooking skills no end over this last year of discovering you.
I’m recovering from a serious bike accident and at home feeling helpless whilst my Mrs works and the kids are at school…. We eat organic fruit and veg and locally produced meat. I make all my own sauces, Nothing store bought. Everything made from scratch…. And now my cooking is on another level, my family love everything I make !!!!!
The confidence you give, the repetition, it’s excellent teaching….

Hi Chef. I have owned a wine bar for the past 6 years, and things have been very difficult for various reasons. I have been at a crossroads on what to do because I have slowly been losing my enthusiasm in the kitchen, and even at home, I don't cook for my family like I used to. I came up in the industry as a bartender, but I always loved cooking for my friends and family. I came across one of your videos the other day, and I have left with 1 valuable lesson. To cook like I did before I was paid to do it. There are many ways to do 1 thing, and they can all be correct and delicious and done by YOU! And if you trust yourself and put some love into it, people will notice.

What a great soup! I will make it for lunch with guests on Saturday. MAN, I always chuckle when he uses that Jackhammer-sized immersion blender. I have the regular size, but he has the Italian/French MANLY-sized model. Jack, Chef JP, and the crew are the best. The chef forgot to say, "Always ONYO is number one, unless you have bacon!" I sometimes need to go shopping at Whole Foods to get the good vegetables and Trader Joe's with huge ONYO., garlic, and leeks.

Then JP mixes it up with the different surprises of things that make cooking fun. And butter makes it all better. I love ❤ this chef and I love the smell of sautéed garlic. The aroma becomes aromatherapy in the house and gives everyone in the house a beautiful awakening to life , liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. @ChefJeanPierre I grew up on Campbell's Condensed Soups. This has given me a biased palate - I love their flavor profile. My favorite was a soup simply called Orzo Condensed Soup. That particular soup was discontinued. They still have Orzo soups just not that particular one. It was basically a vegetable soup with Orzo pasta and the soup itself resembled their tomato soup with vegetables and Orzo. I wonder if you have one or more recipes for Orzo soups. I'd love to see your take. Thinking back it may have resembled their beef vegetable soup more than tomato..

Love garlic and thank you for this recipe. I like to roast a dozen heads of garlic when I do this. They keep in the refrigerator nicely and I can use them on bread w/parm or in mashed potatoes to adding them to most any fresh vegetables with butter. Roasted garlic is absolutely delicious in almost anything. HA, have even added this to omelettes:)

Some of the best Greek mashed potatoes I ever had were from a Greek restaurant in Ontario, Canada and it had so much garlic that you could feel the burn. Delicious!!!
