    Hi I'm making something similar, I'm going real cheap. My LED reel is single colour cool white or 6500k temp & 5 meters or 16.5 feet of silicone covered 300 LEDS.
    My power solution will hopefully be one max
    two 18650's.
    The vinyl cover looks so great.
    Any tips or things to avoid? How has your system fared?

    This is tight. Awesome what you did with your bike. I'm a truly bike lover I like to set up lights on my bike for the City bike ride. I would love to have this set up on my bike

    Cool idea man. Thats smart using the vinyl as a diffuser. Would look even better if you used individually addressable LEDs, and 60LEDs per meter. Thanks for sharing.

    vinyl isn't transparent though...

      Not 100% transparent but the light still shows through less effectually.

    What battery are you using ? I have the strips and adapters for any LED lighting just need a power source thank you!(;

    This is brilliant, you could consider getting a small frame bag to hide all the electronics (battery, recever ect).

      Yea, the battery should be in a waterproof frame bag. The led lights could already be waterproof depending on the manufacturer.

    Are they flea able? I mean like what if I wanted to go bizzerk with the lights🚦🚥 and & wrap the entire bike🤪🤪.. is there a limit to how many extras can be added?

    Don't use that 4 wire flat cable... use round alarm cable 4 x 0.22CU... it works way better, it's flexible in all directions and all white ;)

    I just installed led lights on my bike and am about to go to college. Where can you get that white vinyl layer that covers the led? It makes it look so slick

    Did the battery that you had strapped to your bike come with the LED set you purchased or did you purchase it separately? If it was separate, what brand/model is the battery?

      The led lights have an adhesive back and he put vinyl tape over the lights.

      He said it's vinyl tape. Search for it on Amazon. He also secured the ends with zip ties because they started to unstick from the bike.

    mine has:
    3 led light strips
    1 8 cell aa holder with switch.
    zipties. basic and works.
