I am an old woman....but The Good Lord gives the knowledge that Remedy will grow right outside your door.....STOP USING PESTICIDES/HERBICIDES...my yard is a jungle....and I love it. I am so thankful for you Dr. Patrick Jones from the Homegrown Herbalist School of Botanical Medicine.
Yes! We’re going BACK TO EDEN!!!
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Doc's "dad-joke humor"? LOL!!!!!!
I used this over the past three years to help with the “flu” and to detox. It’s wonderful!
How do you consume it? Do you make a tea?
Tea or tincture?
❤This is a wonderful topic especially now that they're doing great things to help the African people to fight malaria. It's an amazing thing they're growing Artemisia more prolifically in Kentucky and they will be taking out the substances that will attack that disease better and put it in a pill form and God's Word says that "The prudent man will not neglect the MEDICINES that grow out of the ground for the service of mankind." Ecclesiasticus 38:4
Also..."The healing of the nations will be with My herbs says the Lord." Revelation 22:2
Thank you doctor very much for posting this God given video.
Mmm ...very strong and powerful word of the Lord. May God help me as I try and align myself with the word of God concerning natural medicine. 🙏
I love how you rolled out the carpet for her.
❤❤
I love Sweet Annie! A gardening client wanted me to dig it out of her herb garden many years ago because it was getting too tall. When I went to discard the “weeds” and debris at the end of the day, they smelled so good that I rescued a couple of them from the compost pile. And I’ve had them ever since! I’ve made door swags and wreaths with them once they get the little yellow balls. I only learned a year ago that they are medicinal! Love it!
I've been fascinated by this plant since we lived in East Africa 10 years ago. We used artemisia and neem to try to prevent malaria but weren't successful. But those of us who have used it for the past three years have still not had the virus going around.
I made a tincture of it in '96 as my general anti-protozoa medicine while I spent a year in northern central america. And l ate a raw clove of garlic almost everyday too for similar reasons.
I wanted to fight off any stomach/intestinal tract bugs.
What's the General dosage to use to help prevent viral infections would you say in a tincture?
Sweet wormwood has also been shown to be effective against hemorrhagic fevers such as Marburg. This is why I grow it and keep it in my home green apothecary.
Here in Indiana we call it Sweet Annie. I love the smell and even named my horse after it. I never knew how beneficial it is. Thanks for the video.
Me too and I named my cat sweet annie. 😄
It's so powerful it's curing my 10 year lyme disease, arthritis slowly going away
Can you please tell me were to buy Artemisia annua s seed because I ordered it 2 times from Amazon s and from different companies and they sent me Artemisia absinthium .
I’ve had good luck with Strictly Medicinal Seeds
@@MyBigValley thank you so much ❤️
Absolutely love your presentations. They always uplift my spirits and make me laugh. Love how you incorporate humor into learning. Thank you for this and for your school. I’m excited everyday to sign in and learn more.
It would be very interesting to hear about Artemisia's effect on cancer- I understand that extracts can enter the cancer cell, and cause it to explode due to it's effect on the iron in the cancer cell. Normal cells do not sequester iron in this way.
So does that mean if your fighting cancer you should not take iron?
no, I believe it suggests to take artemisinin
Sir you mean its more effective for fight cancer if you take it in its pure extract or prepare it and take like tea, boil in water?
Look into an Italian gentleman whose last name is Amadeo Gioia. He inadvertently used it to heal from cancer.
Look into Amedeo Gioias story. He inadvertently used it to heal from a cancer. Interestingly many antiparasitics have anticancer properties

This is great information. We have a couple of varieties of Artemis on our property but they are perennials here in Texas so I am not sure if it’s the same. I am going to see if I can find this specific type. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for another great video. I am a student of your school of botanical medicine. It would be great to see an expanded version of this in your plant monograph section.
It should be up very soon. :0)

Hello! Love your videos! I learned about sweet wormwood awhile back and took it during '19'....I found about it in an old herbal book I got in the early '90s.
Yes she's great! A fantastic tool for your herbal toolbox!
Doc please talk about the “other stuff” and especially using artemisia annua with animals: chickens, cats, etc.
Recently signed up for your course so I will search there in the meantime. Thank you so much! 🌟🌿
Just came across your channel and had to subscribe! I have been growing (Sweet Annie Artemisia here) for over 50 years and did not know that it has all of these wonderful medicinal properties! Technically my SAA "grows" herself... as here in NW Ohio it self seeds so readily that it is called an invasive "weed" by many. I very much enjoy it's fragrance and use it for crafts and aromatherapy. I am very interested in learning more about the medical properties of this plant and many others. Thank you! Blessings on your day Sir 🌻 .
It would be cool if you did go into the details and post links to the research. I would love to read them
You’re always so funny and I catch myself laughing out loud at your comments! This was great, I love this plant and have it in my garden. Made a tincture of it months ago and I feel it’s really helped prevent illness. Thank you!
I know this plant as Sweet Annie. A former colleague loved her and had some to share. I gladly took some. Others turned up their noses, preferring more formal garden beds.
She reseeded many years after that initial offering.
That is awesome!
I grew this this year and tinctured it. I started using the capsules last year whenever I felt any nug coming on. It's awesome!
How to tinctured it sir?
I prefer to grow artemesia annua L. It's a much bigger plant.. 7ft - 10ft in a season. The smells are also a little bit different. Some of them smell sweet and some grow Menthol like gassy smells. Artemisia is also used to fight cancer cells. Such a great plant.
Thanx for the v informative videos! Will we be seeing some videos on farm animals and herbs to heal, esp goats and cows? Thank you
Sure! What kind of healing videos for cows and goats would you want to watch?
Great!😁💖
This herb healed my acne
I wish you had spent more time showing how to identify this plant. When I googled it I got so many different images. I'm a novice at this and I have learned a lot from your videos. I hope you will do another one that gives details to identify this plant. Thanks ❤️
One really useful tricks is to search for the Latin name, in this case try "Artemisia Annua" instead of "Sweet Wormwood" and see if you get better results :)
@@HomeGrownHerbalist I did. So many different looking plants! Is there anything that is exclusive to this plant? Like mint family has the square stems?
@@lauralowery9303one-year Wormwood
I got the CV pin march 2020 took this tea every night😊
Interesting, I only knew about it's use for parasites.
Can you make some videos of how to use it in our daily lives or when we get sick?
You are as funny as you are knowledgeable , and talented :).
Awsome
Thank you! Have you got any useful links for how to use it - what I’ve researched so far is 1-2 tsp for a tea
Much appreciate any additional links
I have a4 yrs old artemisia very usefull during covid use this as tea, just a pinch of leaves everyday got got tested positve witn covid, but no diareah no sore throat , taste & smell never go away, maybe this sweet annie is truly beneficial,
@ Homegrown Herbalist Do you do vitual visits for your Veterinary practice ?
In Indiana, I forge Artemesia Valgaria . I have it in a tincture.
Great video thank you. Does the perennial wormwood have the same healing properties as the annual?
Artemisia annua has much higher artemisinin levels that most species in the genus.

@@HomeGrownHerbalist thank you. Good to know.
Hey man awesome video! Are you Amish?
I ran into this plant a few years ago in my research and got some seeds. Haven't had luck growing it and need to get more seeds. Would you tincture any of the aerial parts? Thanks for sharing!
Yup, leaf, flower, stem...any of the aerial parts. Harvest it when it flowers.
Doc Jones, what's the difference between this Wormwood and Artemesia absinthium?
What is the difference between Artemisia annua and Artemisia absinthium (plain Wormwood)? Thank you!!
its wormwood . i just started taking it.
Make a video on the best herbs for headaches.
That's a Fantastic Idea! Expect a video soon!
@@HomeGrownHerbalist thanks!! How soon?
i wish you said how to process it and use it....
Would this be good for someone suffering from lymes disease? If so, how would you take it and how much?
Super Fabulous Red Carpet❤
I struggle with identifying the difference between mugwort and wormwood. All of my plants identifiers say they’re the same thing
How do you use it?
Has this been used to treat Lyme disease?
Sweet Annie is a finer leaf more airy than regular wormwood. Are they both equally medicinal?
Can you take artemisia annua every day during months?
So if you feel like you’re coming down with something and sweet Warmwood will help how many pills would you take?
Is it wild or do you have to grow it ?
What part do we use.??
💯
What part of the plant is used?
Some must be perennials as mine come back year after year.
Can this be taken daily?
Thank you dr Patrick for sharing your knowledge with us about Artemisia annua.i ordered Artemisia Annua or Sweet Annie s seeds from Amazon and I received two times Artemisia Absinthium.i am really upset that they did not sent the Artemisia annua and I know that the two plants are different from each other they are not the same .please if anyone knows were to get the right seeds I would appreciate it.
I ordered my seeds from strictly medicinal seeds.
As a respiratory treatment do you take it in tea form? Would a tincture be too strong?
I wonder how long this video will stay up with mentioning it as a Covid and Sars remedy.
I merely mentioned that research has been done showing action. The FDA hasn't approved anything I said in the video. Do a search on google scholar on the Latin name and you'll find some amazing studies.
I wonder if it would help parvo pups?
I have a huge amount of this growing on my property. My property has NEVER been treated with any chemicals and I grew up here...I'm 63. At the very top of a hill with no other drain off coming into my property.
Any companies out there interested in buying?
