Water heater shut down leads to one apartment with no hot water in the kitchen and the laundry room machines as well which was next to the unit with no kitchen hot water.
In the end of the video I had mentioned that we were going to have to clean the bottom out and check everything for leaks basically with the dishwasher we just turned it on for about 2 minutes while we're cleaning and then we hit cancel and then we get underneath and check for any leaks we noticed it was off before even turning it on thank you for watching and commenting
I get it but if you soak it in hot water you can put all you want because it's just all squishes out without any voids I've had really good luck that way if you think that's bad you should watch one of my garbage disposal videos I have that stuff squishing out the top and the bottom never had one leak in 30 something years but I get it I've been told that many times it's just the way I learned it I guess thank you for watching and thank you for commenting I sure appreciate it.
I can't stand plumber's putty under faucets and would prefer manufacturers use gaskets as they are much more water tight instead of this putty crap which dries out eventually and then water spilled around the faucet ends up working its way under and corroding the faucet underneath...had one in my house put in by the builder that did exactly that. I installed a new faucet with a nice plastic gasket which works perfectly...no putty garbage...uggh
You're right putty works great at first but it does have a shelf life and once it dries out and starts to crack you do get water underneath it and I love the faucets with gaskets under it thank you for commenting
Both of you are right that's what we were thinking after we did it why didn't we just push the valve up and put one fitting to reduce risk of leakage we thought about that after it was done and we were sitting there staring at it next time we'll get it right.
Yes I have Jet swets why would I do that when I have a press That's so much more fun to use. And yes not only did we open the angle stop for the dishwasher we ran it and tested it before we left to check for leaks. Thank you for watching and commenting I do appreciate it the pro press is something new so we were trying to get a little bit of money out of it and fun the only thing we should have done was used one less coupling we could have put the valve straight up like others mentioned and then just use one slip cup clean but I guess we were going for the bling effect more coupling or profess but that's also one more connection to worry about but I'm sure it'll probably be there for the next 25-30 years.
Did you have to go back to turn dishwasher valve back on or you caught it before leaving 😂

You are so right as we get older in our trades we sometimes get complacent not a good thing thank you for commenting
Team Vince saves the day again. I thought Vinnie was a licensed electrician. He's taken to the plumbing work like a duck to water.
Vinnie said thank you for the compliment and thank you for watching
Plumbers putty always
Good vid, but I’d recommend way, waaaay less plumbers putty under the escutcheon

wouldnt it be easier to cut into your pipe, press your ball valve , add a new piece with a repair press coupling
I was thinking the same thing
Both of you are right that's what we were thinking after we did it why didn't we just push the valve up and put one fitting to reduce risk of leakage we thought about that after it was done and we were sitting there staring at it next time we'll get it right.
Especially if making a video. I would re-do it and do the video right.
Wanted house keeper!
For sure thank you for watching
Lol I can't believe people still leave toothbrush out uncovered

How would a jet swet work in this application? They are basically useless.
@@John_Lee_ Seal off the water draining back down so pipe can quickly be prepped for a valve installation. Would not have to wait.
@@mainj54 you can't use it to join pipes together. How would you get the tool out if the pipes are together?
@@John_Lee_ You sweat or press a ball valve then remove it and close valve.
