Thank you for sharing this technique. Not only the work of creating snow, shadows, depth, but also how you mix your paints to achieve desired result!!! Looking forward to playing with this to increase my skills.😁💜
Mr. Fuller, Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your tutorial has really enlightened me and I am so grateful for this instruction. I'm going to practice and keep watching you at work painting snow so realistically. Now I see how to get those mounds of snow on the branches. My sincere gratitude.
Have been doing watercolor for a few short years, put it aside and now want to return to it. I miss the fun of the challenge. Your snow scene is simple but gorgeous. Less is better. Your instructions were spot on and so easy and makes me eager to get back to it. Thank you for this lovely scene.
I'm slowly starting to get the understanding of how painting snow works, it's not about white paint at all. It's actually about using the negative space, creating shades around it to highlight the fact the white, almost like an optical illusion
So beautiful a painting! You make it look so "easy" to do...but I find it so difficult to achieve nice results! If I really dedicate myself to practicing water colour painting now, maybe I will be able to make some nice snowy trees paintings for Christmas presents in December! Yay, thank you for this video! : )
I enjoyed that you said that you had a blemish, in the snow area, and turned it into an interesting part of the overall painting …70 years ago, my Seventh grade Art teacher, told me …That an Artist, is a person that makes a mistake…look like they meant it !
Hi Mr. Fuller! I have a suggestion: would you oneday paint a snow scene like this, adding in the snow the footprints of some wild animal who crossed the Woods?? That would make everything even more chilling... and realistic!
Hello Mr. Fuller. I´ve seen your fog videos and now this snow-video. I want to paint a few horses in a paddock with snow and the warm damp from their nostrils. From afar with pinetrees in the background. Like early in the morning. Either that or two riders going uphill in galop. Then i need to make both breath and the snow by the legs. Do you have any tips? Best regards, Xenia.
+Serena ma triste I used Ultramarine Blue and Burnt Sienna for the whole painting. You can get all the different blue greys and browns with just those two. Cobalt Blue can be used instead of Ultramarine if necessary.
Hallo Mr.Fuller. I live in Germany. I woul Mike to buy your Brooks und Workshops. Could you please advice where can I find them? Best regards, Oleksandra
