I just ordered my sealed mint/mint copy about five minutes ago and I am literally getting choked up watching this unboxing. It’s a Christmas gift for my wife, though I don’t know how I’ll manage to wait that long. As I just told my friends, I may have gone off the deep end. But hey, it’s worth it. I have all their albums in vinyl , even the albums that aren't in this box like the two Live at BBC or Love or the Red and the Blue album or all the Anthology series, all remastered. With every album there is also a minibook with the story of each album.

I agree that it is ONE of the best. But I think I like my Mono Beatles vinyl box set a little better:)

I purchased the box set when it came out and have never looked back. Sound is excellent to my ears and I have been a fan since I was 3 three years old in 1964. Enjoy. Come on, the whole set and book is well worth the $$$. Enough said.......
modbeat 1966 I am really impressed with the books in these vinyl sets. They are very well done and interesting. I've wanted to see them since this set came out. I guess it paid for me to be patient.
I love my stereo box set. I found those who are critical of are overly hung up on the source for the masters. Personally, I think they sound great, and the quality is first rate. Congratulations on the self-gifting.
FitToBe TieDyed Agreed. A whole back I did buy one of the stereo copies of Revolver and I didn't think it sounded bad at all. I'm no audiophile so I'm sure everything will sound good to me. I'm just glad to have all the albums together in mint condition in one collection. Now I'll never have to buy another Beatles album again. Ha ha ha, that's a good one! We all know that's never true.
That's the thing about the stereo box; you get a version of every song they released commercially, AND they all sound great.
FitToBeTieDyed - Hmmmm... well, in all fairness I only ever picked up the PAST MASTERS Stereo LP, and I thought it sounded awful. So much that I never bothered getting the others, but I have heard some people saying they liked these. If these stereo versions are indeed sourced from digital instead of original analog sources, I do find it head-scratching that you find the sound so appealing - as I know you're always keen on doing sound comparisons. But in the end, it's all about what our own ears appreciate, or not.

The Oompah Roundabout I was really good this year so I thought I deserved something nice for Christmas.
I saw the Trivia Pursuit game and I was like "oh we have that too this dude's pretty cool!" then I saw the Oh By The Way box set and now I'm just jealous, I need that one! I love the video, but wow I'm surrounded by so many expensive box sets I want !
Great video Mark and I picked up the stereo and mono boxes about 8 months a go. And haven't they gone up in price. Had no issues with the stereo and I do agree with you, the mono you can't beat .
You’ve probably owned some of the albums before the box set. So what did you do with them? (Just asking cause I plan on getting this set)
I have 2 copies and find that they sound great. The only one that is a question for me is the "Let It Be" LP the over all sound is just not there . Very simple and plain sounding. I think Revolver and Rubber Soul sound the best!

I regret not picking up the vinyl Mono set more than any other item I've ever passed on.
I was lucky to find a great deal on it at the time. And I had a little extra spending money so it was a no-brainer. The mono albums seem to be what I listen to now more than the stereo versions.

Is it Optimal (Germany) pressing or Rainbo (US) pressing?
I think it's American because I have one and if you look at the apple on the outer sleeve,, the small apple is on top of the small print while I've seen German pressings with the apple on the bottom of the small print. Hope that helps but mine is American and had no issues. Purchased it about 8 months ago and have noticed the price is going up. Cheers 😉

Was the 1987 remix only used for CD and the 2009/2012 vinyl reissues? Or every LP from +1987 use that remix? I found a pre-2009 stereo pressing on a little LP expo. A bunch of those LPs were "remastered", but doesn't had that liner notes that the remixed CDs have ("transfered from the original tapes and subsequently edited"; it only says "remastered from the tapes" on the LP).
I actually don't know the answer to that question.

The mono CD box has the original Stereo mix of Rubber Soul and Help.
Kermit Skelethor I know, but i'm searching for the original stereo of Help on LP. The MoFi stetro box set from the 80's seems to be a good option.

You're probably right. I don't think you'd want to try and hunt down the OMR (Original Master Recording) version.

Mal Walsh I actually prefer the Mono set over the stereo. The albums have better mastering and the reproduction if the sleeves are more true to the original pressings.

Thanks for video! I was expecting to be disappointed with the sound but really enjoyed them. The book is possibly the most beautiful Beatles book I've seen (and I have a lot). The only album that didn't impress me sound-wise was A Hard Day's Night.

Hey ' your the guy I see on facebook everyday showing off his Beatles Stereo box set for $69.00 what a steel deal... That is sad they uploaded your video and made it look like you got your Beatles Stereo box set from them I just got scammed for the Rolling Stones 2018 Box Set and got my refund back people should know some of those box sets like the Beatles 1978 U.K box sets. are no longer available and not sitting in a warehouse somewhere collecting dust and getting sold for a really good low price I took action right away and I hope others do the same great video love my Beatles Stereo box set I bought in November 2012 from Amazon .
I didn't know they were still using my video to sell their product. I saw them a lot last year. I kept reporting them Everytime I saw them and eventually I stopped seeing them on Facebook. I'm glad you got yourself an official set as it's a really well done collection.

Some audiophiles have said they don't sound that great. But personally I think they sound very good on my setup!

Hi, Mark P. Very impressive and beautifully presented product you have obtained for Yourself here, congratulations! Just a brief observation: You mentioned that these vinyl pressings originated from a digital source. Regardless of how great the vinyls sonic performance is, against the digital alternatives, it seems almost sacrilege in an instance where the Beatles were famous (among many others) in a era when analog was part of what defined their sound. I'm sure these are digitally remastered vinyls, which is to say they are the original analog masters are digitized, 'restored', perhaps 'enhanced' and ultimately re-cut for vinyl pressing. I have a similar Beatles reissue collection myself (in my household) and the back of each cover mentions rather prominently that they are 'digitally remastered'. They sound fantastic! Lets make that perfectly clear but it also makes the vinyl enthusiast rather uncomfortable in terms of its authenticity being significantly undermined and almost purpose defeating. Either way, I love vinyl, just because of the much more personal and physical listening experience it provides but often wonder if it is just a gimmick where the material pressed originates from a digital source....

They were made from digital remaster (made for Cd). You have CDs en vinyl format. Not make sense to me...
