Do you know what the stopping distance is for these? I'm seeing that the stock brakes are possibly the worst part of gen 2 raptors and as an aggressive, but safe, driver I want to make sure I can stop this truck fairly quickly. A good amount of other youtube videos are pushing Alcon brakes, but both are really expensive and I was wondering how these compare.
We haven't done a stopping distance test yet, but we recently got a SCT Livewire and might be able to use that on this, it has some braking test functions. I think it might be mated to our F-150 though, and we'd have to reset it to get it to mate to the Raptor. Will look into that. What we can say though, is that these brakes are a MASSIVE step up in braking power, they work great! Subscribe and stay tuned to see if we can put together a braking test video.
@@Motoroso Thanks for the reply, I've been trying to find some real world testing of these parts but they are hard to find so if you plan on making some videos like that it would be great. Comparisons between brands would be even better I would definitely like to see that.
@@Resef0486 That would be even better, but I can say with 100% certainty that isn't gonna happen, haha. But we'll try and get the test done on this truck ASAP.
The other side of the caliper is not really static. It does apply its own force on the opposite side of the rotor by way of the caliper pulling on it.
