- My Makita MLT100N Table saw suffered a gearbox failure. The raising & lowering mechanism would not work. This is how I replaced the gearbox & got it back to working standard
What is up my friend, I was just going to sleep when I got your notification, from the imperial co California.
Hi Francisco, I hope I didn't wake you up! I am planning another trip but there will be another video going up soon showing a garden structure I have just finished building. Pleasant dreams!
@@dougrorison1211 you put them and I will watch.
I will be waiting for your videos when you go on the road again.
Thank you for the video
It was helpful thank you for that 🙂
Thank you for the video. Hopefully mine won't need this attention. I periodically blow dust from underneath.
Hopefully you wont but it is a relatively common complaint with them apparently. I always have mine hooked up to a shop vac but when I dismantled it I left the metal base off it & made a dust collection drawer under the wheeled stand I originally built for it. It would pay to smear some grease on those rod runners from time to time during normal maintenance too. Since I put it back together it works a treat. Take care
Thanks Doug, I have since found quite a lot of UA-cam video's showing various modifications.
Talking to a bloke this morning, he bought one and even though it was well out of warranty, Bunnings swapped it for a new one. Mitre 10 took back the Rockwell two days after I bought it because of a humming in the solenoid for which I then paid extra for the Makita I now have.
I wonder if where you bought yours from, would've taken it back? Interesting.. Cheers
cспасибо
hello, excellent work. Can you help me, where is the motor capacitor located...
Hello Luis. I don't actually know where the capacitor is located. The motor itself is attached to the gearbox as shown in video. There are a couple of electrical 'boxes' attached to the body of the machine. Perhaps the capacitor is inside them?
Hello!
For me the engine brake does not work, the disc spins for a long time!
Anyone have a clue what the problem is?
Maybe try new carbon brushes in the motor?
@@dougrorison1211 New machine, 3-4 hours of use so far.
My guess so far is the rectifier, or that a cable has slipped. I haven't checked anything on it yet.
@@zsoltfilep2346 I would contact Makita if it is relatively new. It may still be under warranty although these days they are generally not worth the paper they're printed on. Good luck with establishing the problem with it.
