Another thursday..another amazing effort for this amazing songs
No Brazilian this time?
The France Gall song won Eurovision that year for Luxembourg, and their entry this year has lyrics that are a sort of an update to that, or a more empowering take in response to the old song. BTW, how do you decide the order you put the songs in?
@@Julio__Cesar Brazilian what?
@@aporcelaingirl ,I mean Brazilian song. 🇧🇷
I can't believe that all these tunes have been around since 1965. Thank you for your trip down memory lane.
You've made me feel old. I've been a Beatles fan since I was a toddler. It's my 64th birthday this year. 😆🎶❤️
1:50 7:08 Rest in peace, Marianne Faithfull.
I grew up in the 60's, mum/dad had tge radio on quite a lot, what great nostalgia, what music 🎶 😊😊 excellent compilation SRH 😊👍🎉
Der Zickzackkurs durch die Jahrzehnte in diesem Kanal ist einfach fantastisch!
All those great songs, released in the SAME year ?!!!!!
My God - we really were the luckiest generation to be around for ALL that !!!
I remember every one of them with a BIG smile !! :)
The most of them are really evergreens! As a guy who was born in 1984 i can really appreciate this!! Great work!!! So much classics!!!
Wow. Some of these artists are still with us. 👍👏
They even more sad thing is that what's even more startling is the number of artists who are going to be gone in the years to come
Not even years - Marianne Faithfull died today.
My goodness - I don't think there was another year where there were so many classic tunes, by so many classic artists (Beatles, Stones, Supremes, Dylan, DC5, etc) - 1965 defined the 1960's!
Every year of that decade (well, okay, at least from 1964 onwards and up to 1970) is in a class of its own, all of them are great, unsurpassable even!
Happy 60th Anniversary ❤
Crazy, man!
The early '60s sounded a lot different from the late '60s - the music that comes to most peoples' minds when they think of '60s music...
Except for just a few that were only released in Europe - I recognized everything. A great year that was! Thank you.
Thank you for the wonderful memories ....
Hey so will I 😮. I grew up hearing most of these songs. I had 2 sisters who were 15 & 17 years older than me. They only listened to 50’s and 60’s music. I’m very thankful for that 😊
While I didn't listen to a lot of '60s music as much as I did for music from other decades like the '70s through the 2000s, you can't deny it was the rise of the civil rights movement, Woodstock, and the British Invasion.
Ditto, I don't know much about the decade of 60's, but I have my parents' memories.
RIP Marianne Faithfull :(
The Seekers were at their peak at that point. 2 years later they came home and played in front of an estimated 250000 in Melbourne
RIP Marianne Faithfull
I laid in bed and listened to KOMA at night. It was hundreds of miles away but my little Zenith radio played them perfectly. We lived in a great time for music. Never been the same. 👌
Thanks For Sharing!
You just can't beat the quality of these songs.
I love this music and wasn't even born then. My late father influenced my taste in music to include all these greats. 😊
Back in the days when popular music had melodies, harmonies and the instruments accompanied the singing rather than drowning it out. What will be here in 2085 highlighting the music from 60 years ago?
My birth year! Turn! Turn! Turn! was number one on Billboard when I was born.
Quite a clash of styles.
I loved seeing a still from The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson in this video! Didn't know that James Brown performed on it, but it isn't surprising. Thank you!
Hope you had a great Day. 💕
Love your Videos. ❣️
Greetings from Germany. 💞

Great job
That was great 👌
Classes on this music and the times should be taught all over the world in public schools
Great list in here again. Tom Jones is a legend
my older siblings were teens, in this year. i remember all these songs( 5 at the time) still very evocative of my childhood!
@Somerandomguy_music, I had no idea that Petula Clark did a version of "You're the One" by the Vogues. I obviously still have a lot to learn about music
Great video
The Golden Age of pop music. Thank you for sharing.
Great stuff! So many classics! It's funny now to see so many rock bands wearing jackets and ties.
Thanks for this list ! That's the year I was born 😘
Wieder mal ein super Video rausgehauen, vielen Dank 🥰. Wie lange brauchst du immer, bis das fertige Ergebnis steht?
Kommt drauf an, aber im Schnitt sitze ich 4 Abende an einem Video.
Wow - there were some very big songs that year (especially from Dylan, Beatles, and Rolling Stones).
Wow. Definitely one of the BEST yeRs in music. Must have been exciting to be a teen then!
I was 14. Fantastic music memories
It was fabulous and i still have the singles under the stairs in my flat in wooden boxes with handles... some songs people have never heard of as i had my own disco deck. The songs used to tell wonderful stories then...i loved i.
Thanks.
Beautiful music.
The clip of Hang on Sloopy is from the ‘70s remake Rick Derringer did solo
Bon anniversaire,merci beaucoup ❤
Loved seeing The McCoys singing Hang on Sloopy. Didn’t know them personally, but they were from the same area that I grew up m.
I love Donovan Catch The Wind and Herman's Hermits. 😊
1:50 Marianne Faithfull (December 29th 1946 - January 30th 2025) rest in peace!
It is hard to believe this songs are 60 years old and I am five years older than them. Strange that I do not know most of them. Time is passing by.
It’s interesting to see that many of the artists wore suits and tie back then.
So that's where Babybel got one of their jingles from - Beach Boys - Barbara Ann
I got you babe, downtown, it’s not unusual I can’t help myself and what the world needs now is love sweet love and unchained melody and I feel good and more happy 60 😮
The France Gall song won Eurovision that year for Luxembourg, and their entry this year has lyrics that are a sort of an update to that, or a more empowering take in response to the old song. BTW, how do you decide the order you put the songs in?
The songs are in chronological order, sorted by the dates they first entered the charts.
didn't "The Boy From New York City" came out in 1964
E eu jurava que 3 músicas da playlist não fossem regravações: Iko-Iko(Cindy Lauper 1986); What The world needs now is Love(Trijntje Oosterhuis 2009) e In The Midnight hour( Roxy Music 1980).
Who else thought of John Mulaney when "What's New, Pussycat?" played?
*Raises hand* 😆
Oh of course!
That makes no sense.
@@Klusterfrick look up The Salt and Pepper Diner
The Beatles were crawling all over the place in '65.
I actually thought Bye Bye Baby was a Bay City Rollers song, guess I was wrong.
Same

One of the members of The Gentrys went onto greater success in the world of professional wrestling composing entrance themes for wrestlers and as a manager.
