I am retired military of thirty years...Marine Corps. I had never heard of Ms. Leftenant-Colon. What a beautiful and caring person she was. I'm glad to know some of her story.

Many of the 20th century actors had to declare an older age to get the chance to enter the film industry So we cannot be sure that the age is correct. But if it is, it's amazing.
Everything I know about figure skating is due to Dick Button. He was the best-ever figure skater announcer. I have missed him dearly every FS season since he retired 😢😢😢.
Eerie to hear Dick Button passed when many on the passenger plane that was struck by the helicopter were figure skating performers. RIP to the passengers of Flt. 5342.😢
Marianne Faithful, man that's a big one there, most people don't know the influence she had on pop culture, especially the Rolling Stones songs written about her like You Can't Always Get What You Want and Wild Horses, her own hit song As Tears Go By was written by Jagger and Richards and was later covered by the Stones who also had a hit with their version. Wow, that's the end of an era there.
I've never commented here before, but too many young people are mentioned here for my liking. It's no fault of Legacy, but rather a failing that we as a society are guilty of. 😢
I'm glad she was remembered this week. I mentioned it in a comment on the video that posted on January 17 as her passing was just announced on the radio the night before. I was afraid she had been forgotten about when she wasn't mentioned last week
This name may not be known by many, but voice actor Wayne June passed away this week. Many audio books have had the privilege of adding Wayne June's voice to their work. Those who have played Darkest Dungeon and Darkest Dungeon II know how the gameplay was heightened beyond measure with his excellent narration and commentary. He will be sadly missed by many
May they all Rest in Eternal Peace. And my condolences to the families of the Souls lost over the Potomac. And my thanks to you Legacy, for another bittersweet journey through the passages of the lives of those who have touched us in so many ways.
Awww... Dick Button. I'm a fan of figure skating and watch it on TV whenever it's on. I loved when Dick would call somebody's routine spiffy. He was always right in his commentary. I've been wondering how he's been doing since he hasn't appeared on TV for a while. RIP, Mr. Button. I've missed you these past few years.

My condolences to everyone who lost the heroes and legends in their lives. They may not make celebrity lists, but it doesn't matter, they were pillars in the lives of those around them. It's these individuals that stay alive in the hearts and memories of so many. Their stories will continue on like the epics of lore for they are just as deserved. The pain will never go away, nor will it ever ease up. However, knowing such individuals wouldn't want sorrow to follow their passing. It's up to you to carry their strength and keep living the life they would want you to live.

Tempus Fugit. I'm 70 years old and the older I get, the faster time flies. Ask anyone over forty and most people will say that time seems to move faster as they age.
It never gets easier hearing about people unaliving themselves at such a young age. I considered doing that twice in my life and both times I was a teenager going through psychological turmoil. I can only imagine what kind of hell Ryan Whyte Maloney was going through when he made that decision. Rest in Peace, Ryan. You’re pain free now.

Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that Dick Button died within 24 hours of losing another group of ice skaters in a plane crash. I believe he knew the people who died in 1961. I loved his commentary and his love for the sport.
Every year since the crash that killed Kobe Bryant, there has been NO MENTION of the other 8 people that lost their lives. I understand these are a all celebrity posting but come on now, others also lost their lives with him. Say their names!!!! Kobe's 13-year-old daughter Gianna; baseball coach John Altobelli, his wife Keri, and his daughter Alyssa; Sarah Chester and her daughter Payton; basketball coach Christina Mauser; and the pilot, Ara Zobayan.
Such a wonderful loving podcast. The narative is so loving I end up crying. As I enter my last third, i get very sentimental and this show helps give a clear vision of greatness. And while my mom and dad were not famous they left a great legacy of their own. They passed on warly in life but everyone still salutes Shirley and Mel. The tragic event this past Wednesday January 29th 2025, reminds us that life can be taken so quickly that we need to cherrish everyone with great live. This video is a soothing reminder of how fragile but great life can be.
