Imagine explaining the insurance company how your car got totalled in a parking lot
If its Boeing I'm not going 😂
Hard to be a Boeing fan these days , its like being a Ferrari fan
Not a Boeing problem on this incident. Totally a United maintenance issue.
United Airlines does not spend any money on maintenance and safety
Profits 99% maintenance 1% 2024
we need to cut down on those 1% .. seriously!
we can;t have shareholdeers pay for the damages can we ... ;)
Negative ! 33 yrs on the business ! UAL never will be a cheap airline ! The probable cause of the failure is during tire or brake replacement if the sleeve protector is not installed it will cause the tire to move on the axle causing the tire to come off ! Or perhaps or an axle but not properly torqued ! Or locking bolts to the axle nut not installed
Yeah United is failing on Maintenance I flew to Honolulu last January and our plane was delayed 7 hours due to frozen plumbing caused by a leak! A319 from Sioux Falls to Denver
@@amtraktraveler9118 that’s cause by what’s it’s called a water heater tape that wraps around the water pipes ! That’s a component that it’s not monitored by ecam so when it fails or when it’s a time change by manufacturers recommendation it gets replaced !
"Wheel in the Sky" by Journey. Oh what a Journey.
Minutes into the flight? How many minutes was it from V2 to losing the wheel?
like 15 seconds
It's called a wheel.
Actually, it is a wheel & tire combo.
@@magna116 if a wheel comes off something it's usually accompanied by a tyre.
I'm so tire of this.
So a tire got tired and didn't hold on.
News programs always overhype plane accidents
geez... what is with United and Boeing.....every week there is another news about something falling off plane
thats what happens when you have sales people in charge of engineering companies instead of engineers
The plane is about to lose its toilets too.
Stay calm , folks, we just lost a wheel. Guys at the terminal must’ve forgotten a couple of pins and to tighten the lug nuts. We’ll be pulling a u-ey to pick it back up. ✈️ 🛞
Can we just get a new airline? Lmao
make sure they buy Airbus instead ;)
@@nullx8dude the wheel falling off was not boeings fault
BOING BOING DID THE TIRE
safer at home. Miami does not want you anyways 🏝
Maintenance at fault - cutting corners or not paying attention!
Boeing will fix this problem by adding a light that alerts the pilots when parts are falling off the plane. Lol.😂
ya for real
As an aircraft mechanic, maybe if they payed us more then maybe we would have more quality workers who know what they are doing. A lot of airlines pay just a little over minimum wage. You get what you pay for 👍🏼
Aircraft mechanics at United and other major airlines get a lot more than minimum wage
Is that what they tell you in GA?
@@nikiyen6 exactly, Delta starts at 40
Nothing to see here
The nut holding the wheel to the bearing assembly that is covered in grease is likely held in place by a cotter pin that prevents the nut from unscrewing. If the cotter pin falls out or if a mechanic overlooks replacing it the nut will come off and the wheel will detach from the assembly.
Holy cow! Talk about the wheels falling off. Yikes! Whatever happened to maintenance.
When a plane "dumps fuel", as the reporter stated, is any concern given to where it's dumped?
What's going on? A United flight in Houston crashed on the runway in Houston, AND United going to Fort Myers, FL had engine in flames today. How does one airlines have 3 major issues in a single day that could have caused great damage and cost lives??
It was the Whole wheel with Rim not just a tire
Someone forgot the cotter pin
This incident has nothing to do with Boeing. It's all on United Airlines, they are responsible for the maintenance, not Boeing.
Boeing WTF?
There Was A DC Out That Way I Heard People Were Hopping The Fence at Night And Vandalizing Equipment. Also,At Other Places It Was Inside Jobs By Employees I Was Wondering Where They Were Receiving Orders From? The Truck Was In The Shop Numerous Times Because Of That Issue.
Somebody missed an IPI
It's the year of planes😮
Hey uhh FAA… Pete WTF are you guys doing?! Why are these planes still operating for service!!!
Boeing in serious troubles, recently it was a door, today is a tire.
Not a Boeing problem on this incident. Totally a United maintenance issue.
How is this happening so often?
Seems like a trickle down effect from how incompetent our current government is. If I had to guess.
Greedy executives are destroying the world via penny pinchin and mismanagement. This is a 22 year old plane so likely a united issue in maintenance, and there is a single point of failure that one mistake could have led to this, so not nearly as bad as the bolt issue as there was several points that should have been caught, and that's more definitely on Boeing mismanagement/greed .
@@dillonkayser4215Current govt... really this shows how stupid the American population is. This is caused by deregulation and trusting an industry to set its own standards, manage itself and punish those that break the standards. Boeing spent more time on stock buy backs and ever increasing compensations packages for executives, while cost cutting on quality and safety. Both parties of the two party dictatorship gave Boeing the permission to cut corners.
Made in USA
Airlines and aircraft manufacturers want to spend more on stock buybacks and dividends to shareholders than they want to spend on their planes.
wow another incident
Every day I log into You Tube I see another United flight losing a tire. How can the same plane, and the same airline, be losing a tire every day? And, at the same airport?
Designed to land or take off with missing wheels. Then why didn't it complete it's trip? That way no fuel would have been dumped, unnecessarily harming the environment. That right there was an over-reaction.
If it's Boeing, I'm Going.... somewhere else! 😅
The tire just came right off the airplane as it was taking off.
Now the pilot's buddies will be laughing at him for having one of those little thin tires from the trunk on his plane.
Damn one of my late cousins used to work for United Airlines he's probably rolling over in his grave. Smh
United is a DEI woke company, youre rolling the dice.
American Airplanes falling apart in midair!
Airlines in the US are insecure
So, they need a pep talk? A little encouragement every so often?
Boeing needs to be nationalized, they are a liability to everyone and how many times have we bailed them out
So basically only take a plane if you're on a dea+# wish
That’s probably the least logical and fact-based conclusion I’ve seen
I'm replying 45 minutes later. In the US every 79 seconds, someone is killed or injured in a drunk driving accident - that's 34 people. By day's end, there will have been a hundred or more fatal car accidents.
The last commercial plan disaster was 15 years ago, killing 50.
Don't worry people Boeing will fix this with some well deserved stock buy backs
Were is Butaquier transportation guy
Boeing planes at it again 🤦♂️
Not boeing’s fault, you should blame united maintenance
Joe Biden of the air. 😂
It was an extra tire, no need to worry.
Imagine it was the front one
Redundancy doesn't equal peace of mind, especially with the frequency of these mechanical incidents specifically happening to Boeing's crafts.
😂😅😂
Mmm 🤦🏾♂
I see only drama. The aircraft is designed for that. But, immediately the news looking for a pax that had no idea.
BOEING - the sound you hear when one of their machines tries to operate properly
