The sewing of the signatures is the hardest part. I am going to watch again before I sew the signatures into the cover. Very helpful and very positive ❤❤❤
I love how you explain everything. I look forward to your videos more than any other on UA-cam. Your voice is so calming, you make me feel really empowered to try this new hobby, and not useless and unskilled like some youtubers make me feel. I’m making a junk journal for all my biological children, those I’m godmother to, and those who I have ‘adopted’ as well as my husband, mum and 3 best friends. I have a serious degenerative illness, which is robbing me of my mobility, dexterity and my mind. I want them all to have a special gift handmade by me. To keep memories or things that remind them of me. I have done many many crafts before, but never JJ. Through you I have been able to learn how to make them and theme them. I have already done a Disney Princess and nautical,one. My husband has a nose to sniff out amazing vintage books in the charity and antique shops. Old paper makes me so excited, I can feel the history in my fingertips. I get so giddy over an old children’s book or a botanical hardback with hand drawn flowers. A million Thankyou for all your inspiration, for your calming voice and for giving me passion to start a new crafts and project. Xxx

Just watching you make this journal has been so soothing and relaxing! I love your cohesive teaching style, you make it look so easy and that makes it inspiring. You are correct when you say that as artists or crafters, we really crave the connection to others, the sharing of artistic endeavours is so satisfying. I also pray that when this isolation is over, we come out the other side having learned something about how precious life is and we have much to be grateful for. i must say Artymaze is my go to girl - she gets down and dirty with her journaling and so down to earth. I do love her videos. However, I have just found your channel a couple of weeks ago and love your style, which is totally different. I love that you put your heart and thoughts into your journals. You are so well spoken and I love that. You and Arty see your journaling with a different eye and I love and appreciate both of you. Your journals are absolutely beautiful and full of meaning. i get excited, when I see you have a new post - you are so positive and heart felt. We need more of this, in every area of our lives. My dear Joie, yes I do love paper, all the paper I have but the most paper I like is the coffee paper it is knisperend and feels very nice so also when we make a junk jornal with paint flowers ect I love this so many things every day I am in my atelier and than I am so very happy . big hughes Joke .

Nice one Joie, you just get better and better so that’s one huge positive for you. How do I bind my journals? The way that I learned from you, of course! Content wise I’ve gone my own way as we all should do; I’ve found that for the way I work, painting, stamping etc that it’s easier to fold, arrange and complete my pages and only bind them when I’m totally finished. Lots of room for mind-changing! Love your videos they are always so instructive and calming and I really did learn all the basics from you xxx💕💕

I like to make little notebook like journals, inexpensive handmade items I sell. To bind them I run them through my sewing machine. Sewing is my first craft so using my sewing machine with paper just feels very normal. Stay well and I hope you feel then love from all of us here on your channel!! This is a lovely journal. I ordered that Victorian Wildflower book, but i think mine is not as big as yours, which makes me a little sad because I wanted to use it for Junk Journal covers. Oh well, at least the pages will be pretty inside a journal. Blessings.
@@joiedefi Yes, but I did not realize it until after I bought mine. One is about 10 1/2 x 8 or so and the one I got is 9 x 7 or so. It will make a cover but the journal would be about 7 x 4 1/4 ish. I may still try it.

We watch several of the same artists on here, I believe that is why you popped into my feed.
I like to make little notebook like journals, inexpensive handmade items I sell. To bind them I run them through my sewing machine. Sewing is my first craft so using my sewing machine with paper just feels very normal.

This is a lovely journal. I ordered that Victorian Wildflower book, but i think mine is not as big as yours, which makes me a little sad because I wanted to use it for Junk Journal covers. Oh well, at least the pages will be pretty inside a journal. Blessings.

@@joiedefi Yes, but I did not realize it until after I bought mine. One is about 10 1/2 x 8 or so and the one I got is 9 x 7 or so. It will make a cover but the journal would be about 7 x 4 1/4 ish. I may still try it.
