I had an experienced physician inject filler into my infraorbital foremen which resulted in facial numbness which lasted 2 weeks. I have also self-injected but only after a great deal of study, including anatomy of the face and head. Accidentally injecting filler into an artery will result in necrosis no matter who does it...
Yep, exactly. If you’re stupid enough to buy from rando’s and you don’t do your research and learn then really they have no one to blame but themselves. I know my product comes from reputable sources and I do lots of research and study on the subject. I’m also studying to be a nurse so I can professionally do it for a living. You can learn the same thing that professional injectors learn you just can’t preform it on other people… and that’s fine. Lol
Very scary..you get what you pay for..thank God it wasn't worse of a reaction. If you can't afford it wait until you can and find the best Doc possible..like our Doc❣️
Poor woman! She must’ve been devastated 😱 I appreciate her spreading awareness . I agree Dr R, I hope all accept that only professionals who have training should perform these procedures. At the very least they should study the Anatomy & Physiology of the face before they go for DIY-maybe this will make them think twice before taking that big risk!
I applaud her for making people aware of the mistake she made. Waking up with her eyesight affected, and her face dropping lipa mess . I feel sad about this for her. The influencer’s on line are to blame for this, they should be held responsible for peddling better still banned there are a lot of your woman out there that could destroy there face forever because these woman are making money. Really the Medical governments need to take hold of this and put up some regulations. God knows they are happy to dictate other things. But they don’t care about these woman. Can’t imagine how many girls ,woman come Into clinics like yours and others for help them. Thank you Dr Rajani for putting this on your sight once again to warn the unaware. 🙏🏻😊❤️
Yes let’s just regulate everything with our big brother government… NOT. If you don’t like it don’t do it. I’m 42 years old and I can do what I want to my face. I’m a big girl. Just Nevermind

To keep this in perspective...She probably did not get her products from South Korea but instead from China and did not do the research which is so important. Injectors are using South Korean products quite successfully and safely. Bless her heart, though. I want her to recover fully.
Hi Dr. Rajani! I probably know this woman as I was in an influencers private group for nearly 2 years. It's sad that these people who follow these influencers are brainwashed into thinking these products are safe. I have been on an awareness campaign too so I would love to see her whole video. If you could link it that would be great! Thank you for sharing!
So difficult for me to wrap my head around this!!! ... I didn't know it was legal to sell a DIY kit with Botox and fillers... very dangerous!! If you don't know Anatomy and physiology... it's scary.. you could cause an embolism, inject into capillaries, arterial branches, nerves that control facial movement and symmetry... and as you pointed out necrosis by over filling so many bad things... I feel so bad for this woman.. this is meant to be administered by a certified, highly trained medical, aesthetic / plastics specialist!! What next, do it yourself Rhinoplasty ..... it just amazes me, so irresponsible not having more stringent medical safety laws in place!! I pray this woman doesn't lose her lips and that the ptosis and nerve damage subsides... Thank you Dr. Rajani for bringing this absurd, unsafe, medical trend to light!! Many blessings and Happy Holidays to you and yours!! 🌹
I can't buy some Olaplex(No. 1,2) products because they are intended for professional use, how have these people even got access to botox or hyaluronic acid injections? It should be regulated by law.
It is illegal to sell drugs to unlicensed but prosecuting it is not a priority...as is theft and illegal border crossing. It is all up to what governments want to focus on.
Just make sure you order from reputable sources, do your research and learn (like you said it’s not rocket science) and make sure you have dissolver on hand. To me injecting filler at home is scary and I haven’t tried that but Botox is easy peasy lol if you make a mistake it wears off. I mean, I’ve had professionals make my lip droop. I just laughed it off and waited a few weeks.
How dare you give your unprofessional option as to what and where to order, when you yourself have no idea what you are buying! None zero. You have no idea. Your attention seeking can hurt many many your people.
It’s due to her own lack of skill not due to a kit, plenty of women get botched while paying thousands for a “professional” to do it. When I paid for tox in a salon, I hated how I looked and avoided cameras till that thing wore off, it was so bad, I looked like I’ve gained 30 lbs Never again. For some of us, doing it yourself truly is best, but obviously it’s dependent on individual intelligence and that 6th sense some simply don’t have, professional or not 🤷♀️

NOTHING about DIY fillers sounds like a good idea.
Correct
Poor woman. What in earth is wrong with the internet selling those to unprofessionals 😩
Sadly there's a page on Reddit full of women that diy their filler and Botox. It's so scary 😳
I mean it depends what your injecting I do my own mesotherapy but Botox and fillers I leave to a professional

It’s Northern Ireland not north Ireland
You should never inject yourself at home with any thing

This rampant on UA-cam DIY people injecting themselves all the time. Please just go to a licensed professional my god!
