This variation works great I like using it because I feel tighter and closer to the opponent when executing. Amazing against bigger guys as well.

He's doing it exactly like Toshihiko Koga
Stevens IS doing exactly like Koga's reverse grip. The problem that is that Stevens uses the 'koga grip' on both right and left sided players. Keep in mind, there are 2 versions of Koga's kumikata (watch "a new wind" by Fighting Films).
