RYK Modular ALGO | Winterdagen

Last week I went to SynthFest UK, my first time visiting a synthesizer event and I loved it. I got to play so many incredible synths and got to hear some very inspiring talks. A modular synth brand I was especially keen on finding out more about was RYK Modular. Their designs (both aesthetically and functionally) are always incredible. I had a nice chat with Jake from RYK and ended up bringing this ALGO home, which is an FM / complex oscillator module.
I've quite recently started falling in love with the sounds of FM synthesis -mainly because of Fors.fm's beautiful Max for Live devices (should I make some software videos as well?) - and ALGO seems like a very easy to use, hands on, great sounding and beautiful looking module to start exploring FM sounds in my eurorack. So far I have paired it with Zadar, Øchd and Pam's for lfos and envelopes and I love the sounds coming from it.
At SynthFest Jake also showed me a prototype of an amazing upcoming four-channel envelope generator module which really seems like it's a great fit with ALGO and does incredibly cool stuff like recording knob automations and has internal attenuverters.
I'll finish this way too long ramble - kudos to anyone still reading - with some patch notes: for this little arp exploration I've used all four channels of Xaoc Devices' Zadar controlling the levels of ALGO's oscillators, turning up the duration of the envelopes for build-up. For added textures I'm also using Intellijel Sealegs on delay, reverb and noise (!) duties, as well as Qu-bit's Nautilus & Data Bender for a lovely bed of pitched up delays and bit-crushed glitches in the background.
