Basic recap So basically the old republic is set in thousends of years befor the triligy movies, the first cinematic has had the empire long defeated, but during that time the sith has prepeared, trained, recruited a force large enough to reclaim what they have lost, he killed his master (who is a race called sith pureblood) cause he “had failed” in Malgus eyes and wasn’t worthy to live in the second trailer the reason why the troops go head to head against sith is cause since sith are so common at this time as this is befor the rule of 2, is cause they actually get trained to fight against force users comprared to the original movies where there are so few there isn’t really a point to train for it, satele (the Jedi) used a rare force ability called “force block” which is how she could stop and hold the lightsaber In the third trailer we can see malgus (same guy as the 3 other trailers) do a famous attack called “the sacking of coruscant” which is to this day the only attack on coruscant that was successful and after some time after that trailer the game begins and you follow the story with the rival powers of sith empire and the republic where you get to play as either side and as different classes English isn’t my first language and sorry for any miss types and you have missed their more recent cinematic trailer called “disorder” where we can see some of the more unjust sides of the republic and the quality of that cinematic is almost unreal
@@KyleLeeFoxIt's a very very long story & the Star Wars The Old Republic MMO is still ongoing to this day after almost twelve years but to cut to the chase & answer your question the Sith Empire was slowly weakened by infighting & the betrayal of their own Emperor which eventually led to them being pushed back into the Unknown Regions by the Galactic Republic who then left them to wipe themselves out, which they did. Again this is a super fast rundown, if you're still interested i'd recommend playing the game (it's free to play), watching AnthWolf on UA-cam if you can't or don't really want to or just simply search up the storylines on the internet. There's eight separate stories that span three chapters each & as of right now six expansions with more on the way plus a host of other content that takes place in-between the expansions as interludes & epilogues, it's a truly massive game. Not sure if you've heard or maybe played Knights of The Old Republic 1 & 2 but the MMO is somewhat of a sequel to those games set almost three hundred years after those events.
The interesting fact is that Force Block is used by Darth Vader too. I read that is a Sith force, yet Satele use it. Or its neutral affiliation ? Also know for a fact that does not work against Arcann lightning.

Many argue who is stronger Valkorian or Palpatine, but anyone who has played the game has seen with their own eyes how much more powerful Valkorian is. Palpatine is a master of the dark side, but Valkorian is a master of the force itself. Well that dude was immortal being with unimaginable power.This SITH EMPEROR was reborn 4 times… TENEBRAE, VITIATE and VALKORION who was 1500 years old.

100% Disney would ruin the old republic. The bioware writers did an amazing job with the story in the old republic era. The game is very much dated at this point but if you watch a recap of what happened in all the old republic games, your jaw will be on the floor. Hands down some of the best lore in Star Wars. Darth Malgus, Darth Vitiate and, Darth Revan are 3 of the most prolific, complex, and well written villains, not just in Star Wars but anywhere. As amazing as these trailers are even they don't do it justice.
The Jedi Knight is Satele Shan, a direct descendant of Revan and Bastilla Shan from the first Knights of the Old Republic video game. The technique she uses to defend barehanded against Darth Malgus's light saber is Tutaminis, a Force discipline that involves energy absorption, deflection and dispersion. Force users with extremely high skill in Tutaminis could deflect and absorb blaster fire and parry or even extinguish light sabers with their bare hands. In this trailer Satele is still evolving into one of the most powerful Force users of the time as she ascends to the rank of Jedi Grand Master.

well, I know this is a year late lol, but when Satele (female Jedi) blocked the lightsaber strike, it's a force power called Tutaminis that allows one to absorb energy, whether from Force Lightning (like Yoda did against Dooku), blasters (like Vader did against Han Solo), or a lightsaber strike in this case. It can't be used indefinitely, and if Malcolm (the soldier) didn't save her, she would have died. edit: Satele and Malcolm actually got together and had a child, and Satele herself is decended from Revan and Bastila
There are so many sith because rhere is 1 emperor but many individual sith lords and their apprentices. Same as the jedi basically at this point in star wars history. They made the rule of 2 later on with darth bane. He did it so that all the dark side piwer would be his and he wouldnt have to share it.
Great video. I suggest you watch the all others, they are far better. I'll explain, the cinematics of the last 2 expansions alone have more sense and action than the last 6 Disney Star Wars movies combined. Not to mention that they are much better made. I would love to see your comment on them.
(So after the third trailer): After the successful sacking of Coruscant, the treaty that was in progress had to be signed in favor of the Sith Empire since the Republic capital was being held hostage by them, thus beginning the Cold War period. This treaty severely harmed the Republic as many systems were forced to remove Republic military presence and be swallowed up by the Empire. Jedi returning found their temple in ruins and Republic senators blaming them for all their suffering and woes, but the Jedi were still committed to defending the Republic, and thus relocated to their ancient home world of Tython. Darth Malgus, the Sith in all the trailers, was furious at the fact that the Empire didn't attempt to finish off the Republic then and there. This probably was what help sow the seeds of his future plan to overthrow his Empire with the 'New Empire' as well as destroy the Republic.
I believe there were other Dark-Side warriors even during the era of the Rule of 2. Such warriors could use the Force & fought w/ lightsabers. The Sith employed many of them. Before the Empire they were mostly called Acolytes; during the Empire many were called Imperial Inquisitors. These Cinematics did show 2 Sith, certainly; Master Vindican (1st) & Darth Malgus (all 3). My guess is the rest were Sith Acolytes

The rule of two was put in place about 2600 years after the events of these trailers or about 1000 years before the events of the Star Wars films. Everybody you see with a red lightsaber in these trailers was indeed Sith.
