Awesome video! I had a thought. What if you were to set up a camera to watch for rodent activity roundabout the vicinity of the car with those off, and then again switching them on?
Thanks! That's what I tried first, but the rodent activity was so unpredictable around the cars that all I got was dead camera batteries and full data storage. The Red Squirrel at the birdfeeder is like clockwork.
Curious to know if plugging them in close to where the cars park would suffice or if mounting it somewhere within the engine bay is required for sufficient results. Cool product and good video!
I would like to know that as well. I researched what it would take to measure ultrasonic sound intensity at varying distances from the device. I'd need about $3,800 worth of specialized microphones and electronic equipment. Curious, but not that curious. Based on the birdfeeder test and information in the product listing, though, I'd guess that if you park your car in a garage, then having this device plugged into the wall near the car may provide sufficient protection. We park our cars out in the driveway, and I don't know if these devices are sufficiently waterproof to work well long-term in the outdoors.
Please check the description and the follow-up video for the latest updated information. The use of this device did not stop the mouse damage!
