    Best ALH wiring harness vid I've seen! Thanks for posting! Do you have an easy way to make the tach work? I guess there's some kind of module needed?

      Thanks! The tach really depends on the vehicle, older OBD1 vehicles only use one wire that can be connected right to the VW ECU with a resistor to adjust rpm, but the newer the vehicle, the more complicated it gets

      I probably should, it's not too complicated though with just the glow plugs to a Ford starter relay, a 50amp fuse, and like a push button for the "starter" ha ha glad to help though!

    Just curious what kind of wire that Grey stuff is. Is it shielded? Not sure where I hered it but I hered a few wires had to be shielded

      That is called SIS wire, single strand, just a little fancier than the stuff in stores, yes the crank and injector sensors need shielded but I don't mess with those they are already pre wired.

    i wanna put an tdi motor in my 1987 dodge ram , its got a 727 3 speed , do you got any tips they would be much appreciated

      Should be pretty straight forward, it would be nice to have a 4 speed trans but with the right gearing that should work fine. Older vehicles make the swap much easier!

    Would the 1.9 sdi none turbo Harness be the same it is in a Skoda Fabia . I want the motor for a boat . Looks easy enough

      It should be very similar, if you can find any schematics on the wiring that would help you, but I'm sure if you started looking at that wiring vs this turbo version they would be very similar

    What do you do with the big injection pump plug that you cut off the run power back?

      Those plug up by the ECU connectors that gets cut off needs power fed to 3 of the wires that were on it, the rest get removed.

    What do you do for your alternator wiring? Also could you send me the pin out diagram and the wiring diagram you use?

      I usually just wire both regulator wires to 12v keyed on power, the VW alternators are not very picky on that. If you are on Facebook look up the group TDI Swapped Trucks, their files section has all the diagrams

    So if I go with a non vgt turbo like a he221. Then I don’t need the n75 or any other plugs that run along the firewall?

      Correct, I wouldn't throw it away in case you change your mind on turbos, but they aren't needed as long as you get a tune to delete them

      @@dillanmarcos I think the easiest thing to do is turn off over boost and under boost codes so you can't go into limp mode and that will get you going with a wastegated turbo

    Im currently running a Mtdi setup but i want to go back to electric pump. Sorry if you get this question alot. But once the harness is done is the IMMO thing that that needs to be disabled in order to get the engine running?

      Ya you really need to get the ECU deleted of excess sensors along with the immo disable, but I can do all that and bump the power up too if you need it.

      @@TDISwaps Thank you for responding so quick! The sensors im thinking of using are MAF, MAP, needle lift, crank sensor and Coolant temp. And ofc the pedal.
      I have a complete parts car available. If i use these sensors will the engine "run". I dont really care about it throwing codes as long as it dosent go into limp mode. Im currently a student so i cant really afford to get professional help so i need to do as much as possible myself.

      @antonaberg5238 well I do that stuff for $150, then you don't even need MAF. But yes it would work with just immobilizer disabled and those sensors wired

    Hello, how are you, friend? Do you think you could help me to connect the obd2 connector? I can't make it connect with my scanner.

      So on the ALH it should just need gray/white pin 7 on the OBD plug to pin 16 on the ecu. Then pin 16 on the OBD plug is 12v + and pins 4 and 5 are brown for ground

    Which wire is the check engine? It says white blue but rhe only blue white wire I can find is for the pedal

      It should be another white/blue going to pin 24 on the ECU, I have definitely found duplicate colors used

      @TDI Swaps yeah I see that's what it says on the diagram I'm using but there's only one white blue on there. But on the other hand the blue white wire is not shown on the diagram I'm using

      ​@@cadenmcgowan5161yeah if the colors aren't making any sense you probably should just Trace out the numbers, pin 24 is for the check engine light and pin 63 would be the other blue/white to the throttle pedal

    I thought from certain videos that u need the key/ emobilizer and speedo?...i have a alh jetta i wanna do swap in my carbed toyota...thats all i gotta do for wiring to get it to run ?

      You will need the computer tuned to disable those things but it's far easier than messing with that much extra wiring and the VW cluster. If you aren't wanting custom tuning I can setup the ECU pretty cheap if you mail it to me

      @goatsmisadventures yup that's the best way to do it, I delete all the sensors not needed like in this video, turn off the immobilizer so you just have a simple setup that starts and runs

      @mathiasherbus no you vag commander for Immobilizer, I think you can find it online, but a lot of downloads are full of viruses

      There's no point when I only need this much of the harness, waste of time fighting with wiring covered in mouse crap anyways. I hate vw wiring so I use as little as possible.

      Either one works, only a 4 pin is needed, if 5 pin the 87a pin is left empty

      Thanks so much for the info. I’ve been recreating what you did for the past 2 days now.
      I would like some clarification on the “dead” pedal. So, in layman’s terms If I supply constant (hot at all times) power to “breaklight switch” wire (WHT/YEL - pin 65)
      and “Clutch vacuum vent valve switch” wire (WHT/RED - pin 66) that will eliminate the dead pedal that is sometimes intermittent during engine startup?

      The brake wire is the only one that causes the dead pedal, clutch only applies to cruise control, but yup that's it
