How To Tie A Solid PVA Bag For Carp | PVA Bag Fishing | Winter Carp Fishing

- Cygnet Tackle carp angler Alex Shorrock shows you how to tie a solid PVA bag for catching carp in the winter.
This solid bag method utilises a ronnie rig made using our wide gape hooks and the Cygnet large PVA bags. Solid PVA bags are a devastating tactic all year round, but they really come into their own in the winter when the carps feeding spells have slowed down. They're a little mouth full pumped full of attraction and are just enough to get a bite even in the hardest of conditions.

Stunning
Thank you! Cheers!
Superb 💥👍
Thank you John
Brought some of these bags and they smell like super glue, took them back to the tackle shop and swapped over for my usual brand
Best ones are the Gemini ones as these and the avid have really small loops and they are not ideal for leadcore really.
Also the bit you cut off at the beginning why don’t you cut one end and use it as tape to tie the bag up
That’s a great idea!
Brill. How do you tie those stems to your mainline?
Hi Carlos, a 5 turn grinner knot of using tubing. Just make sure it’s tight.
Otherwise, if not using tubing, a figure of 8 loop knot and loop it on.
@@CygnetTackle cool thanks! I do use tubing for safety, and when i used these for the first time, i had the tubing, with a tail rubber, and bloodknotted it on. The loop makes more sense 👌🏼
@@CygnetTackle hi I used your stem last summer season and I was worried that tying them straight to line would lead to snap offs due to the plastic cutting into the line. Would you say this worry isn't Warrented? Because I was worried I used a small length of leadless leader between the main line and the bag stem
@@NickHarvey81 Hi Nick. I’ve used these stems since their release and caught loads of carp on them and never had that issue at all. It’s only like tying your line to a swivel. You just need to ensure that the knot is bedded in properly to the stem. Hope that helps.
Where do you get the connectors from the tubing to the stem?
I just use a tail rubber.
You didn’t show the 5 minutes you spent trying to get the bag open before the video actually started.
🤣
😂😂 Brilliant I'm not on my own then......then you lick your finger's and it dissolves as your loading them up 😂😂🤠
Why buy a larger bag and then cut 25% of the top ? Also sticking down the corners is a waste of time, do you honestly think the carp notice any difference or it really makes a difference in casting. It is all posing by anglers that have been sucked in to the speel put out by tackle companies such as Korda, fronted by fat boy & Hamidi
You must be an amazing looser in life, unlike top successful guys such as the ones at Korda, who'll never insult you for being a bell end.
Aerodynamics 😂😂 everyone falls in this trap of rubbish.....put it in a wind tunnel and see the difference....it makes no difference on casting its just ocd......and unless anyone has any wind tunnel proof on this then don't even comment on this.....its like the rubbish when people say they can tell they're on gravel to clay etc etc....the only way you can be sure of this is actually diving in person and this has been proven time and time again.....aerodynamics 😂😂😂🤠🤠
