56 and prepping already! Thanks 🤗
This can be such a confusing topic - great info, Danielle!
Great video thank you
Excellent info..
Great info!
Horribly unfair to link A with taking social security killing your ability to contribute to an HSA.
Thank you for this information. Very helpful
You are welcome!
Thanks, great video 🙌, I’m one of those in a large company and still working after FRA and have a HSA. Undoing all this will be a challenge in a few years and will be looking for help then.
I’m almost 67 and doing same HSA no Medicare no SS. Once I’m no longer covered by company HDHP I enroll in all 4. A, B, D and SS
I recently started Medicare at the regular time and paid my first Part B premium for 3 months from my HSA tax free. I don't really like doing 3 months (in advance), but that is the only option they give. I did just decide to start social security in JAN 2022, a year or so before FRA, because of the nearly 6% COLA starting in 2022. Might as well bank some of that.
You're probably required to pay 3 months in advance to ensure your Medicare insurance is valid for doctors to use.
Just throwing this out there - may it should be? Should you be able to use Medicare before you apply for Social Security? Interesting thought…
Thank you.
You're welcome!
You should ask can we get SS without medicare.
Do you have to take Medicare when you on ss I don't need any deductions of my social security I'm I forced to take it that what I need to know
No, you do not have to take Medicare in order to receive Social Security benefits.
Are there any videos on Social Security disability benefits, because disabilities is a lot different than regular Social Security
Hi Bradley - We do not. Our friend Devin Carroll is our go to expert. You can find his videos here - www.youtube.com/@DevinCarroll
I enrolled in Medicare at age 65, and I pay by check 490.00 each quarter. Now I am 68, and plan to take Social Security benefits. If I enroll in Social Security online, will they automatically deduct my Medicare payment out of my Social Security check?
Hi there - yes, they will! They will deduct monthly.
Thanks. Always informative. Are you going to change the name of your company to GEN Z (or whatever the next generation is called) Benefits for the next generation of retirees? :~) Just kidding. Thanks so much for always providing great information. I'm working with a member of your team and will be signing up in November! Thanks again, BB!
We don't see any name changes in the future, LOL! :) We're happy to hear you enjoyed the video and we look forward to working with you in November, Scott! Thanks for watching.
When I start taking as benefits can I still work full time
I'm sorry what I mean is when I begin to draw my social security benefits can I still work full time and not use employer benefits
Yes, you can continue working if you are receiving Social Security benefits! If you aren't covered by your employer's insurance, then yo will want to apply for Medicare during your Initial Enrollment Period to avoid a late enrollment penalty. If you plan on working past age 65, we recommend watching our video titled: Retiring Past 65? Learn How Your Medicare Enrollment is Different!
How many work Credits do you need to get Medicare and Social security????
Anyone born in 1929 or later needs 10 years of work to be eligible for Social Security benefits. You are eligible for Medicare at age 65 if you or your spouse have legally worked for at least 10 years in the U.S.
Can you get social security and opt out of medicare?
You can't opt out of Medicare Part A and continue to receive Social Security retirement benefits. If so, you'll have to pay back all the benefits you've received so far to opt out of Medicare Part A.
My SS benefit at 70 is only $4,100. How am I supposed to live on that???
That's a lot of money. 😳 U can live like a king with that money
@@anthonyplacide3929 Where? In my kids basement?

All of this talk about Federal welfare for seniors is disgusting. All of you should be ashamed.
Uhm, FICA that you and your employer pay is PREPAID care. That Tax is SPECIFICALLY for Medicare and SSI. ITS NOT WELFARE STUPID
@@robschaller9061 Pre paid care?? The SS taxes you paid went to current recipients. Today your monthly check is coming from the taxes young workers pay. It is a huge Federal transfer program. This is how all state sponsored welfare programs work.
