Wonderful video. Abbey helped me with my switch from Medicare Advantage to a supplemental plan, and assisted me with getting my wife on a true medical insurance plan. She did a wonderful job and I couldn't be happier!!!
That’s so wonderful to hear! I’m so delighted we get to work with you.
Thanks 👍
As a long term care social worker, I'm so glad I found your channel. I get so many questions about Medicare and I have learned alot about the differences and how affect admission into SNFs for rehab but there is still so much I don't know. Thank you for what you do.
You are so welcome!
Thank you for keeping us informed…
Stephanie- You are a wonderful source of knowledge. I have learned from you a lot about medicare.. Keep up the good works!!!!!!!
Thank you so much!
I agree with all the great things you offer, great job and excellent food for thought, Thanks Stephanie
Thank you, very helpful info, I am approaching my 63rd b.d and planning to work until at least 67, but I am happy to find your channel ❤❤❤❤
Thank you, Stephanie; Tatiana was great!
Love your videos! Always clearly explained with all options mentioned. Thank You!!
TU these short videos help me so much
Thank you, Stephanie! I enjoy your videos. You explain things very well. I am learning a lot about Medicare.
Thanks so much for explaining Medicare to where I could understand the process. It's nice to be able to turn to someone who can help in understanding this once in a lifetime process. Cheers!
You are so welcome!
Many large health systems are having to pull out of Medicare Advantage due to poor reimbursements and claim denials. Patients are getting left high and dry but hospitals can’t operate on bad insurance company policies.
What Part of Medicare is the *most* confusing? Drop your opinion below, so I can make a video about it! ⬇
The confusing part for me is that: Even supplement plan G needs approval for a blood tests. Medicare rejected 3 tests from all the tests performed last year because they indicated that it is not medically necessary. Thus I paid $67 out of pocket for my blood work. Also I do not understand why Medicare pays only one time for a complete blood test . I thought this would be routine with my yearly checkup (only during the 12 months of enrollment to medicare). This would mean that this year I cannot do a blood test to assess my Cholesterol level?????.. Thank you in advance for your valuable information.....
I was yelled at for saying I'm just gonna pay $450/mon for A,,B,,D,&N and heck with Advantage,,,would You say taking advice from Someone who has VA coverage,,On Disability And is covered under his Wife's insurance isnt a good idea. Lol. i figure Eyes&Ears are the only thing right off I care about. no free govt coverage since i'm American
Can you make a video regarding employer-offered plans for retirees? (BlueSecure in my case) I've already discussed this with Abbie from your office and she recommended I go that route rather than go on my own with privatized medigap, but I'm still a bit confused about it. Not sure if I can easily change it down the road or even if it's considered an Advantage plan. Thank you so much for all you do!
@@philshock3805 great idea!

Great to hear!
Excellent explanation. Thank you!
Awesome! Thanks for the great information on Medicare Supplement and Advanage insurance. It’s new this year for me.
His bless you for helping seniors make sense of this Medicare system ❤
I like your video, very clear and easy to understand.
Thank you so much! After two months of stress and confusion, you have explained this in a way I can understand.❤
Thanks for another informative video. My wife is approaching the time to enroll in a couple of months so we will certainly be reaching out to you !
Glad it was helpful! 🙂
This is wonderful information. I am a medical biller and always learning even though I been in the field for over 20 years. I would like to know how to get into helping others enroll in Medicare/Medicare Adv Plans/ and supplements
Thanks for the information. I got a feeling that for Tricare for life would be good with part C. I’ll see down the line.
Thank you so much- this is awesome
Once again, very informative and excellent presentation.
thank you so much for the video
❤
Wonderful explained update. You really helped my friends understand the Medicare concept👍😉
Thank you!
I have 1 year 9 months to Medicare. I am already retired on retiree medical.
Hey Stephanie, my name is Jose, I live in NY, became disabled on September 2022 and started getting ssdi payments monthly on march 2023, I don’t understand why people in my family are just starting getting ssdi like me a couple of months ago and are with Medicare already, they didn’t have to wait like me the 24 months waiting period, I past 2,000.00 a month and can’t apply for Medicaid in NY because my income is 34,000.00 a year, I have no medical insurance because they asking for an average $900.00 a month which is too much for me, so now I’m preying I don’t get further injuries on my 3 surgeries until I could get Medicare in 24 months, EXCELLENT INFORMATION VIDEO
Thanks! Many times when SSDI gets awarded it is back dated. If so, Medicare is granted after 24 months from the backdated SSDI date. Hope this helps!
@@AbtInsuranceAgency thanks
Excellent video thank you
Thanks for another great video, Stephanie!
You are so welcome!
Super helpful thank you
Your videos are AMAZING!!!! Thank you!!!!
Thank you for watching!
Thanks Stephanie! I love your channel. Are medigap plans generally "portable" from state to state without underwriting? I live in Minnesota, a State I understand your agency is not licensed in, and turn 65 in June 2024. Just wondering if underwriting will be a requirement if I for example decide to move to Wisconsin in ten years. Or does the answer to my question depend on State, or the insurance provider?
Your Medigap plan always travels with you and you do NOT need to change it or go through underwriting when you move.
@@AbtInsuranceAgency Thank you so much Stephanie for that information! I really love and appreciate your channel and videos!
Thank you Stephanie. I appreciate your videos and how they are factual and packed with info. I plan on working past 65 and am interested in understanding the process to delay my enrollment while staying on my employers plan and whether this delay poses any issue with a medigap plan (maybe missed something in what you said?). Additionally, I'm wondering if I'm financially better off keeping my unemployed wife on my work plan or if having her file for Medicare at 65 and taking her off the work insurance would be a better choice. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
I have a video coming out next week about this exact topic!
Thanks for your assistance! 👍
excellent stuff
Stephanie, do you know what the QMB SLMB amounts are for 2024? Thank you!
Thanks Mrs Stephanie!!
You are so welcome
Awesome video, can you talk about how a person medicare plan change when signing on to hospice?
Thanks for the information. It is so helpful especially as I am new to the subject! I was wondering however, do you need to work with a private insurance company (Humana, Centene, Anthem) to get Medicare, or can you just get it through government organisations? Thanks again!
I retired from teaching 4 years ago. I have been paying around $600 a month to continue my health insurance (medical, dental, vision, drugs). So, in December I turn 65 and I just received my medicare card. I guess without saying, I assume I need to call the school district to halt my monthly payments since my medicare coverage kicks in on December 1st. Does this sound right? I am unsure if I can keep part of their dental, vision, and medication plan along with my part A and part B of Medicare. I hope this is not too confusing as I am confusing myself. 😁
It’s likely that they’ll transition you to a Medicare/retiree plan with similar benefits!
great information, can you do one on spend down? How does it work.
I retired at 62 as a nurse and have not had had health insurance for 4 months. I SIGNED Up for a plan that starts inJan.1. Will that affect SSI or medicare. My husband said i will be penalized. Is this true. I worked for 38 yrs. but may go back to work if i am penalized.
Thank you 👍💯💕
You are so welcome!
Excellent, very informative.
These are the parts of medicare so is there also a need to buy plans like HMO, PPO etc in these parts or they are the plans themself?
Much appreciated 👍😊👍
What if you are covered by ACA? Can you stay on that instead?
ACA is not credible to delay Medicare, so you should enroll in Medicare when first eligible order to avoid penalties.
@@AbtInsuranceAgency Thank You!!!
How many plans are there in Part D? What are benefits for each plan?
Hi Stephanie. I have a confusion. I went to the Social Security office today and they told me that I do have to enroll in Medicare once I’m 65 even though I am already getting social security benefits. That the government do not enroll you automatically. I don’t want to contradict you, but that’s what they told me.
It wouldn’t be the first time that someone who works at Medicare/social security is incorrect 😁 faq.ssa.gov/en-us/Topic/article/KA-02125#:~:text=If%20you%20already%20get%20Social,months%20before%20you%20become%20eligible.
@@AbtInsuranceAgency Thank you Stephanie. I really appreciate you answering for me. I don’t know who to believe.
I just the SS office and they are not knowledgeable on Medicare at all. Both I and my twin had 2 different agents and respectfully we were more educated on the subject from UA-cam videos than they were
thank you!!
My Medicare premium is $675 per month. My supplemental G plan is $138 per month. I think this is reasonable for the care I get.
How in the hell can your premium be so high
@@davidlong2048 The premium is based on your prior two years average income.
Based on income prior to signing up
Super helpful, already forwarded to a number of friends, and subscribed. Quick Question: I just turned 65, am still working for a company with many more than 20 employees, and plan to work for a few more years. I have BCBS group insurance through work and I don't have an HSA. Is there a reason for me not to sign up for Part A while delaying Part B? Or is there a reason to delay both until I retire from work? Thanks!
You can sign up for Part A now and then delay Part B until you retire! But if you decide to do nothing and wait to enroll in both A and B, that works too.
Stephanie, I live in Pennsylvania. How do you feel about the Aetna Gold Advantage Plan. Do you think it would be a good choice?
We would love to advise! Please call us at 888-465-9728 or email stephanie@abtinsuranceagency.com!
Hi Stephanie, I am currently 64 and will be 65 in November. Do I sign up for A now and then B when I am to retire? I am thinking about a supplement plan with part D for perscriptions. I am still on group insurance.
Thank you! can you talk about who is the best medigap insurance company that have low increase premium overtime, over the years and good customer service. Thanks
Great idea!
Go with highly rated companies and not Blue Cross Blue Shield, as they have many small companies using they're name, so I've heard.
You are a great find
Great video it is very helpfull, the part B premium $174.70 is deducted from your social security check? I live in Texas what is good or not when getting medicare in my State?
Where and how do you enroll in part D or others
What happens if you decide to move to a different state?
Sounds like doesn’t make sense to start on Advantage plan. I travel between Colorado & WA state as have homes in both states. Don’t think this is conducive to an Advantage plan.
I am unemployment. What plan covers to be on medicare
If I enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, do the costs associated with the Traditional Plan-A part still apply? Namely, does the $1,632 deductible for each benefit period still apply or is this set by each Medicare Advantage plan?
Advantage plans replace parts A, B, and D. The hospital/inpatient deductibles/copays/coinsurance is set by the Advantage plan.
My Dad lives in Pennsylvania and is in his early 80's. He has stage 3A chronic kidney disease. Dose he have a chance of passing medical underwriting to get a medigap plan at a decent price?
What type of coverage does he have now?
He has a medigap G policy but he is paying a lot for it. @@AbtInsuranceAgency
@@AbtInsuranceAgency My Dad has a plan G but he is paying a lot for it.
Do you cover Montana?
Yes! 👍🏼
Can you please make a video on 816/day lifetime reserve days ?
Does your company license in Virginia? Your videos are helpful.
does Medicare pay for naturepath professional (altenative medical practices?)
Typically no, but in some cases acupuncture is covered.
one question ...they took money all my life and i dont have medicare because i live in Mexico can i get my money back?
Is this the information for just 2024 and does it cover 2025
This question might be in another video... how do you choose a plan if you're not on any medications (or ever have been) and don't participate in our standard medical system? I have minimal medical history to show so could that be an issue? And, no, I don't currently have health insurance. I will have to sign up for some form of Medicare around March of 2025. Lots to wade through before then.
There are many options, and the best option for someone like you would be different than the best option for someone with lots of medical expenses. We’d be happy to help advise on the right plan for you - 888-465-9728 ☺️
Why don’t they make it easier for us?

I am interested in becoming a Humana Medicare agent. I have my license and have passed the California exam. Can you direct me as to what you think would be the best route to take in order to get certified
Do you work in Idaho?
Yes!
Please help me i will have a job in a call center about that😢😢humana cigna etna ect….how to employ those benefits please 🙏🙏
This year Medicare is denied my mammogram and ultra sound. This is causeing me to appeal. They say that far to few women get their mammograms as needed. This is scary. They have too much power over our health care.
Why all the discussion about in or out of network? I have a supplemental G plan and there are no networks. Why would I want some bureaucrat to limit my healthcare options???
PPO plan then. I think thsas the difference. HMO's are the network plans.
MA plans don't make sense. Networks, Authorizations and Referrals I could handle before 65, now I need good quality care. Plan N for me.
I agree re MA plans vs traditional A/B with supplement. Other Cons are non-approvals, denial which can cause delays in care and possible serious harm. Not to mention high out of pocket in copays. MA perks for dental vision and hearing is not 100% covered, have strict networks, hi out of pocket, and insufficient coverage limits.
It's all so confusing⁉️😥🙏
They don’t make it easy, that’s for sure. Hopefully my videos can help! 🙂
I have heard the government may do away with advantage plans due to the bills left behind by you /us not paying . Not worth going with the advantage plan, just my opinion.
So im disabled need a lung transplant on state medical now turn 65 april 24 this yr im low income make less than 18 k why they make it so hard i want the traditional so how much the gap do i need a rx plan i really like only paying the way i do now what do ido
