I really like that you pointed out the positive message in this song. Angelina said that it is about "believing in yourself". I have thought all along that Angelina was going to be bringing us 'important' music with substance, and so far she does that every time. Angelina never disappoints. Every time she puts out something new... it is something new. Greatness is always found in "Unique", and this girl is unique in so many ways. As far as it being too short.... I have a theory... This girl is such a genius that she knew if she made it about 20 seconds too short, you would want to replay it. Now, this is just my theory, but following the comments on youtube, FB, etc, one thing I see a lot of is, "on repeat" and "on loop". Adam, where do we go from here?! Angelina put everything into this and her mastery of putting everything together is the work of an advanced artist. I've already listened to it about 6 times and each time I pick up a little more about her message and enjoy the melody of the song. Her originals are so personal. She gets you as soon as she starts to sing and you listen to every word. Yes, it becomes personal because she is singing to you. That's the feeling you get when you hear her magical, jazzy tones wrapped around the soulfulness which comes from within her.

Republic Records has understood from the beginning how Angelina has to be treated and they will honor those commitments. Let her do "her thing" and I believe everyone will benefit greatly. And I agree with you that Republic will allow her the freedom to construct her future. They have a reputation for honoring their artists' choices. That's why Taylor Swift dropped her label and signed with Republic. Just another of the good choices made by Angelina and her family. Angelina is a classic artist and now that she's doing more of her own works, she's even better. I commented to a few people that I'm imagining walking down Broadway and watching people tuned into her song, bopping to the beat and finger snapping down the street. She comes down from her studio with her slap bass player and leads the flash mob through the streets of Manhattan. It's a scene from a musical lol. I noticed after the 20th time I listened to it at a higher volume, that if you listen closely in the beginning and at the end, you could hear the sound of the phonograph needle scratch on vinyl in the empty space. Angie has forged a unique style and sound over many years, regardless of the genre, regardless of the song. It's her! I can't wait to see a live performance of this, and also so many of her greatest to come. Angie's my daily dosage since I found this treasure in 2015. As more I am listening to her as much more I do like her. Really do like the song and that smooth jive rhythm. Holding back her vocal power makes that song much more interesting. Really like the transformation of her voice into an adult singer and honestly that song is now one of my favorites!

It seems as thought her songs have a real personal..even spiritual dimension to them. This last song I think is my favorite although it wasn't when I first heard it. I really liked it when I 1st heard it but to me it wasn't an immediate "wow!" I went back and have listened to it a lot since then. The more I listened the more I liked it...now it is one of those song that you hum (if you are a person that hums). Or even sing it to myself. It has such real life lyrics that are immediately identifiable with a tune that is really fun and catchy. Then of course with AJ singing it.....It is just an awesome song! Hi, I absolutely loved it, she is bringing back that jazzy style of music that now days nobody does but there is going to be singers are going to sing jazz, I feel this moment she is the queen of jazz. I read a couple of comments saying it's to short repeating words, but you know what she is only 15 as she gets older the songs will be longer. I liked everything about it, the beat of the music her smoking jazzy and soul voice, AJ has for sure sprinkled her Angel Dust to us she works hard trying to please all her fans!!❗💜

For a part it feels like she goes on where Amy WInehouse left off. But you hear so many influences, by voice and style (jazz, blues soul)! Crazy how she can instantly change from warm and dark to light and sharp (with that vocal fry). From soft and gentle to powerful, without shouting! And because of her diction (really, she is an actress) she hardly needs accompaniment! SHe carries a song. And the listener!
The same as I feel. I want more. It felt like an coit.. interruptus. That's why I cut and join the song in an nearly endless loop.
Angelina is a classic artist and now that she's doing more of her own works, she's even better. I commented to a few people that I'm imagining walking down Broadway and watching people tuned into her song, bopping to the beat and finger snapping down the street. She comes down from her studio with her slap bass player and leads the flash mob through the streets of Manhattan. It's a scene from a musical lol. I noticed after the 20th time I listened to it at a higher volume, that if you listen closely in the beginning and at the end, you could hear the sound of the phonograph needle scratch on vinyl in the empty space. @goldendragon70 Of course she doesn't "need" Grammys, but the fact is her co-writers and producers of this song and Million Miles are 17 time Grammy nominated and 4 time Grammy winners. Also of the two artists that Angelina is quoted as admiring most, one is Beyonce who has won 28 Grammys. I think Angelina would be proud of her writing/producing team, and herself to be nominated, and hopefully win. It's not a question of "need."

I think this is a masterpiece by Angelina! Here she really pulled all her vocal stops, she's able to show so many of her vocal resources. As you said, she sings it with confidence in what she's doing, a true musician.
And of course, with Angelina, you never get the cookie cutter sound or lyrics. These are deep thoughts she's poured into the song.

It seems as thought her songs have a real personal..even spiritual dimension to them. This last song I think is my favorite although it wasn't when I first heard it. I really liked it when I 1st heard it but to me it wasn't an immediate "wow!" I went back and have listened to it a lot since then. The more I listened the more I liked it...now it is one of those song that you hum (if you are a person that hums). Or even sing it to myself. It has such real life lyrics that are immediately identifiable with a tune that is really fun and catchy. Then of course with AJ singing it.....It is just an awesome song! I love it and it is one of my favorites if not my favorite.
