As you see the never-ending waves of these large looming machines, slowly crushing the city you grew up in and everybody that lived there, a thought of relief surged when you see one of them close to you, raising its arm up, with a barrage of light consuming you and your family.
this is nothing that hasn't been said before, but i love how much of a genuine tragedy ultrakill is first and foremost we have hell itself being an absolute catastrophe with what happened to lust and wrath, then all the context of the war we get from violence is just GRAHH SO GOOD
Ultrakill is so compelling because it's simultaneously a post apocalypse story and the apocalypse is actively happening. No single moment where everything changed, no settling into a new status quo, no even accepting fate; from the moment the Final War began, the world has been dragged slowly, kicking and screaming, to its end

The transition from "Do Robots Dream of Eternal Sleep" to "Hear! The Siren Song..." is crushing my soul. If you listen to "eternal sleep" separately, it's a peaceful slumber. But if you add "siren song" right after it, there's actually so much tension hidden within those harmonies it's making me anxious. Great stuff.
Feels like some astronauts looking down at earth as it goes black from radioactive fallout with blacks clouds like Jupiter covering the globe but when the clouds clear they realize the war only just started and horrors beyond their comprehension are going to be unleashed
Fleeing passerby had already urged you to leave before it was too late, they left so quickly you couldn’t hear what they were talking about, but now you know. You cowered in what was left of your city after hundreds of years of constant conflict. Then, a resounding boom echoed across the horizon, signaling your worst fear: The Earthmovers. Giant being of steel, forged from what was left of Earth’s iron reserves. 3 pairs of eyes locked on to you. it raised its arm then you were preparing for the end, but then another Earthmover shot at it using it’s arm and causing them to get momentarily distracted. A stray beam of light from the two titans’s fight hit the ground a few meters in front of you, then you were gone.
It's not the fact that the earth movers scare me... But the fact that entire cities of people in that thing... Perhaps even children attacking one another Is just disturbing man
It’s the middle of the night. You wake up to siren sounds and gunshots. Panicked and scared, you and your family look outside and your heart drops to your chest. You see a massive machine towering over the city you’ve lived your entire life in. All you can hear is a siren and the pained screams of what used to be your neighbors. Everything is burning. You watch as one of the massive machines casts its gaze onto the apartment building beside you. It then aims its “arm” at the building and destroys it with ease. You watch as your house sets on fire and starts collapsing in front of you. You and your family start running towards the exit but it’s too late, your fate is sealed. The earthmover turns towards your house and spots you and your family. It makes an awful metal screeching sound, warning you of your fate. It steps towards you, completely demolishing your house with ease. The earthmover points its long, jagged arm towards you and screeches again as it continues to walk towards you. Almost every building has been destroyed by now, you’re lucky to have survived this long. The earthmover has locked on to you. As it charges a beam of blue light, you feel regretful. It launches a powerful laser beam towards your family, leaving a crater and several charred skeletons on the impact. This is the only way it could have ended.
I genuinely feel like Do Robots Dream and Siren Song are an inseparable pair of tracks. The two work together in a way I really love and the transition is great. Apart, they're really good, but in my opinion, not competing for first. Together? Hmmmm...
It feels like desperation during the oncoming enemie troops into your house and you are powerless to do anything against them as they are giant machines
First time encounter with that thing surely be a pure horror, seein half your city be wiped of existence by that lone tower in a distance... But who knows, for some it be relief. More i learn bout ultrakill world - the more 'Living Will Envy The Dead' be makin sense to me
I hated the inclusion of the piano. It was always off key, it was overwhelming, and jarring, especially during “Do Robots Dream of Eternal Sleep?” It was already surreal and a perfect transition into “Hear! The Siren Song call of Death.”
At the begining it feels like your holding your family close while waiting for the earthmovers to eventually crush you

You made me imagine the Rumbling but with earthmovers, this is simultaneously epic and terrifying (mostly terrifying)

ULTRAKILL is kinda like a second apocalypse that we are partaking in, that happens after the first apocalypse called "The Great War"
The deafening screech of bombshells whizzing past drowns out the pleas and shrieks for mercy.
Hear, hear the siren's song.
Their call of DEATH.
