This game full of mysteries and still it fascinates us because of the amazing story. I started playing AC, and yet I can't continue because I can't stop comparing it to witcher 3. Witcher 3 has the best game developers and I'm happy that I played it.
I’m finding the same with AC. I’m comparing the mechanics all the time but Witcher 3 just clicks so well together. CDPR are an awesome team. (I’m biased though. The actress who plays Yen is my friend and last year she asked cdpr for a witcher 3 themed gift for my birthday as i was really into the game at the time. The whole dev team signed a witcher 3 limited edition graphic novel for me. Best birthday gift).
"What if we'd lost" "We wouldn't be having this conversation. _And the female part of the Continent's population would be drowning in tears."_ Damn Yen's vicious. Fair tho.
I also love the scene with Yennefer in the brothel (I picked the third option with the lecture in my playthrough). I think it's one of those scenes that nails her character perfectly, at least the version of her characters that I love and that exists in my mind. And it shows what kind of understanding she and Geralt have. As if I needed another reason to absolutely love Yen. The other differences are pretty cool too. Still seems unbelievable to me that the developers crammed all of that detail into the game.
Hmm you know when Yen finally meets Ciri, Polish version is a lot better, she says to her: 'Ciri! Ciri! Córeczko ale ty wypiękniałaś' meaning 'Ciri! Ciri! Daughter (she uses a sweeter version in Polish which is usually used to small girls, a' little daughter', which indicates love and care) you've grown so beautiful. I like this version a lot more, cos it actually shows that she cares for her and treats her like a daughter.
that's a very sweet little detail I wish would've been translated better. I do still think that Yen's affection for Ciri shines through really great in the game with all of the other scenes and dialogues, so they do give the player a deep understanding of their relationship. plus the people who have read the books know that Ciri is like a daughter to Yen
Yen definitely is the choice girl (either that or remain a bachelor because I don't like being with Triss as the second option). As much as I want the scene where Zoltan helps with Geralt in The Great Escape quest, it would mean a Radovids' victory. Luckily, I have not done that in any of my playthrough otherwise I'd snap my disk in half for such heresy. Vesemir eye-rolls towards a drunk Geralt brightened my breakfast morning
Don't think I've had a time where I fail to catch Abbe Faria, so this is first time me seeing the failure to catch him. I must admit, him trying to escape to the rooftops had me chuckle (all he'd be doing is put himself into a corner, unless he can parkour across the rooftops lol). Also, it's the first time seeing Zoltan's help (I always helped Triss with the mages even though I may not romance her). Always liked Yen (she's my go-to romance most of the time), and normally I choose the second option (Ciri), because I feel choosing the first (lying) to Yen does seem a bit out of Geralt's character (which even Yen remarks), even if it's for Ciri. Perhaps this is the reason (aside from the books) why I choose Yen as my main romance when I play Witcher 3. Yen may seem cold and heartless to others, but she understands Ciri at a deeper level (to know how she'll act), compared to Triss (even though I like her as a character) who judged the situation on how it appears only on surface.
One thing has always irritated me about Zoltan not being able to help in the event of you helping the Mages escape. He acts as though he explicitly has to deliver the Mahakahm (not sure about that spelling) to the gates to get the hunters drunk. Instead of perhaps passing the Duty of meeting with them off onto a human worker at the Chameleon. Not Dandelion on the off chance that they're suspicious about Menge's disappearance and Dandelion's freedom, but you get the idea.
I played gwent with brothel keeper I now realised that I also played gwent with Larvik inn keeper when she was waiting for me there. What a weird custom
I've got no help from Zoltan in any of my playthroughs and never knew he can actually involve in that quest (that actually makes things easier!) And You're right; That response of hers when you lie to yennefer is my favorite part of her role in the entire game.
I found this on accident a couple weeks ago. My cat got on the tv stand and I didn’t bother to pause it when I went to get her down. I love it. I will officially never be catching him again!
Cool discovery! I always figured that Yen is just grumpy when you first meet her because she's worried about Ciri. Then, when she knows Ciri is safe, she's more at ease and doesn't get so snarky out of impatience. (Also, that "glitch" in the end cracked me up. Perfect!)
I like it how Yen is just chill and Triss is freaked out when Geralt and Ciri come back from killing Imrelith. It says a lot about both their characters.
@@xLetalis Yeah, but their reactions to when they're back were both really great in my opinion. Triss is the more worrying, caring one and Yen was probably just as worried, but knew Geralt was already expecting and lecture from her, and she couldn't say anything he didn't already know or thought he was going to hear, so she just says she's just happy her daughter is fine.
Always a new revelation, that first part was news to me. imagine all the different scenarios the voice actors, artists and programmers had to put together. The effort out into this was unreal
I like how Yennefer doesn't care in the slightest about potential problems with using her magic in Novigrad. I find her grating most of the time, but this is one instance where it's cool.
xLetalis my friend, it might sound awkward and out of topic but thanks to you, I won a news casting contest at school, so I ran out of Idea for a closing so I used your outro phrase "stay tuned and be good" guess what, the judges likes it, they said it really packs a punch for a closing:) *sorry guys it might be awkward to share it here :)
Love the little touch at the end, playing Lazare. You must feel damn proud for one of your folk songs to be in the game. God I love the song. I managed to memorise the lyrics too and be decent at pronouncing them as well.
To be fair it's only the lyrics of the song, the irregular rhythm that actually makes it a Bulgarian folk song has been changed in the adaptation, but I quite like it still!
@@xLetalis I thought Naranca was my favourite song, but no, Lazare takes it. A lot of people said it before, but Witcher 3 is really special for introducing people to folk music like this, among so many other things.

3:07 How did you miss this? Every W3 speedrunner knows it. Edit: I see you got caught outside. You get a new line from zoltan and geralt if they don't see you outside.
tried to install it again today. thought it was a mod conflict with GeraltCloak mod which used the same key bindings, but seems it's just a script issue according to the Script Merger, which can't be merged automatically, and I"m not that experienced to manually edit Kdiff lines. maybe it will work for you if your game is relatively clean and you don't have a ton of mods installed as I do.
@@xLetalis hell yeah, I did it. got the same freaking model of the naked Geralt mixed with Ciri after visiting a brothel lmao xDD didn't know it was possible using the console commands. the difference between that mod and console command is that Ciri in the mod is playable. you're able to loot, to enter the inventory and other things available to Geralt. thankfully it's possible to add money using the console too. so, I added some coin to Ciri's inaccessible inventory and paid a girl in Passiflora. that broken cutscene.. lmaooo
As much as I think she's generally a trash-fire of a person, I will say that Yennefer shines in two particular places. Firstly, in anything involving Ciri; finally having the child she's always wanted relieves so much internal conflict and releases so much of the tension from her personality. And secondly, in her genuine faith in Geralt's abilities. She may treat him like a imbecile, a possession and a pet; but when it comes down to it, where Triss berates him for taking risks, Yennefer simply trusts that if it needs to be done, he'll get it done.
Given Triss' MUCH younger age in comparison to both Geralt and Yenn, that berating for taking risks is understandable. She hasn't yet gained the wisdom that age grants a person. It's why both Triss and Yen are both fantastically written characters, and are portrayed extremely well in this game.
I just was chilling near the fast travel sign at the von everec estate after I met Shani at the estate (but didn't meet vlodimir yet) there's a second circle of children singing GoDs theme and I'm really creeped out now, it's like he really is following you everywhere
I LOVE these Easter eggs in the game that mirror Sapkowski's habit to reference other stories in the Witcher books too. In this case we recognize Abbé Faria from the french novel "The Count of Montecristo". His escape being somewhat similar to the one in the book.
as much as I like Triss, I gotta give it to Yen. She fucking loves the fact that you supported Ciri in her decision. Triss, on the other hand, gives you a freakin' lecture
You know, CD Project really has such a titanic task in their hands with the witcher 4... It's going to be so hard to match or even surpass this master piece
Actually I don't know. Consider how many flaws this game has. Yet it is considered as one of the best games ever. I feel like the expectations for RPG's are just....low? If we compare the writing of the game to the books, it is worse. So I guess there is a huge potential for future games.
@@racernatorde5318 Expectations for games are low, because every single one of them (including the witcher) is rushed and underdeveloped. Yet CDPR seems to be taking a bit more time on their games with delays and releasing free DLCs, so their games seem better. The problem with the 4th part of the Witcher is... Geralt is the best character there is to write. He just has so much flavour and so many features that we know in life (for example a death wish when he believes he has lost the ones he cares about). Topping Geralt as a main character will be VERY hard. Also, Geralt is supposed to be the only Witcher involved in so much politics and interesting stories so that's a problem too - how do you make another witcher, make an interesting story about him AND make it believable while not repeating what Geralt did when everyone said Geralt was special? I'd love to see Witcher 4 be a story of Coen since his appearance at Kaer Morhen where he met Ciri until the end of the books. But I doubt they'd undertake such a story...
@@TrykusMykus As much as I love Geralt, I kinda want them to go for a new protagonist. Maybe a young Witcher who is being trained by Geralt idk but an entirely new protagonist would kinda give us more choice in how we feel he/she would go about the world.
@@raptor4840 I agree, a totally new witcher is my second choice, because there are many schools and lands to explore in the universe. But it cant be someone Geralt trained if CDPR said Geralt hasnt trained people. Books arent clear about if school of the wolf trained new witchers during geralts life, but CDPR has been (actually they must have trained new boys since coen and lambert are younger, but I doubt Geralt had any teaching experiences.) Why I want Coen to be a story is because his story is completely unwritten in games and we only know the ending in the books. He also had personality and major character development during the times weve not seen him. But I understand why you want an entirely new witcher, that was my first choice too before I read a fan story about coen from the fan stories approved by Sapkowski book "fangs and claws". Then I started thinking and realized the potential the character has.
This I’ve absolutely seen because I always found that I always got him on the second ledge and wanted to see if the chase could get more interesting. In trying to wait for him to get back down to the ground, I got this cutscene.

@@slulus7510 Lovely words, friend. The crown is but a memory because the kingdom crumbled upon itself. --We split and years later, I found out that suicide took her from this world.
Personally I cant stand triss but that's just me
I love Yen for Geralt, but she talks far too much shit to Vesemir for me to ever like her
Yen’s response is literally why she is meant for Geralt. It’s a complete rebuttal to Triss’ overreaction.
Except in the books she would have thrown him out the window and not talk to him for another year if something like that happened. Only she has permission to expose Ciri to danger.
@@TrykusMykus completely disagree, I believe this is exactly how “book Yen” would’ve reacted to the T. She belittles him and they both trade witty sarcastic banter with each other and move on with the topic at hand
Yennefer probably chewed through her fingernails before Ciri and Geralt returned. She just didn't show it.
@@TrykusMykus that doesn’t sound like book Yen. That sounds like how a team Triss guy thinks of Yen XD. She would throw him out a window for...the shit she literally throws him out a window for in this game
@@riastradh Have you read the books? They fought about nothing, she threw jam jars at him and used magic to get rid of him. Idk where you found triss to pop into the equation.
That dancer at 7:26 just stares right at the camera. She knows something.
creepy ;]
That's Gaunter O'Dimm.
He's got bills to pay. Don't judge.
She is like “why is there a camera filming those two?”
This game full of mysteries and still it fascinates us because of the amazing story. I started playing AC, and yet I can't continue because I can't stop comparing it to witcher 3. Witcher 3 has the best game developers and I'm happy that I played it.
I know how you feel ;[
I’m finding the same with AC. I’m comparing the mechanics all the time but Witcher 3 just clicks so well together. CDPR are an awesome team. (I’m biased though. The actress who plays Yen is my friend and last year she asked cdpr for a witcher 3 themed gift for my birthday as i was really into the game at the time. The whole dev team signed a witcher 3 limited edition graphic novel for me. Best birthday gift).
Well the thing is. AC sucks and wither doesn't xD
"What if we'd lost"
"We wouldn't be having this conversation. _And the female part of the Continent's population would be drowning in tears."_
Damn Yen's vicious.
Well said.
Incredible. Every choice in this game has some new ending and dialogue.
Except when you forget to collect exclusive gwent cards before finishing MQ and SQs
The dress Yennefer has is really gorgeous.
The top part (and fine gloves), but still I don't like the bottom.
which one is it ?
@@xxxedevtsrt The black one
Yen is the hottest woman in the history of gaming - prove me wrong.
Bayonetta my friend 😂
Triss Merigold
Yes she is very hot, I hope she was a real person
@Khal Drogo I almost agreed with him but that’s a great shout haha
I think you forgot Ps1 Hagrid
"Voiced by Gaunter O'Dimm" - LOL so true. I did this quest straight after completing Hearts of Stone and that's the first thing I thought of.
I love how you said "one and only" and zoomed in on Triss but then suddenly switched to Yen LMAO hahahahaha
Whoever who designed her outfits, is a genius.
Glad to be of assistance ;] And yes I was about to ask if you even know what a Radovid victory is :D
Who else thought *"Time to play The Witcher 3 but failing quests intentionally"*
0:09 “Ive stumbled upon another one “

During that quest where Yennifer is waiting for Geralt at Kate's I visited prostitutes front of her lmao
didn’t we all
Well it Is not surprise
I played gwent with brothel keeper
I now realised that I also played gwent with Larvik inn keeper when she was waiting for me there. What a weird custom
Me too, but to be honest, my Geralt had already broken up with Yennefer at that point, so i didn't feel too bad about it.
I've got no help from Zoltan in any of my playthroughs and never knew he can actually involve in that quest (that actually makes things easier!)
And You're right; That response of hers when you lie to yennefer is my favorite part of her role in the entire game.
I found this on accident a couple weeks ago. My cat got on the tv stand and I didn’t bother to pause it when I went to get her down. I love it. I will officially never be catching him again!
lol, well done
Cool discovery! I always figured that Yen is just grumpy when you first meet her because she's worried about Ciri. Then, when she knows Ciri is safe, she's more at ease and doesn't get so snarky out of impatience. (Also, that "glitch" in the end cracked me up. Perfect!)
The fading in of the text was a nice touch.
Also Geralt never tells Yen or Triss that Ciri fought the crones by herself
Sorceresses ;]
That phrase " You've won. No point bothering with "what ifs" is a pure gem - so much wisdom in so short replica
It’s crazy but...I never get tired of this game after all these years...is it serious Doctor? 🤔
Holy shit man, just imagine all the details that’ll be in CP2077. Shit’s gonna be intense.
nah but I'm somehow confident that Cyberpunk will never beat Witcher 3...
@PointBlank200 well, aye. Cyberpunk is amazing, but Witcher 3 is still legendary...
Yen: Run! He's getting away!
Geralt: Hang on, I've got to take care of something important, over there in that corner.
Thanks for showing the way of getting Zoltan to help me in that quest, it was bothering my mind since I started playing the Witcher 3
I like it how Yen is just chill and Triss is freaked out when Geralt and Ciri come back from killing Imrelith. It says a lot about both their characters.
To be fair, Yen was likely internally chewing through her nails while Ciri was facing Imlerith
"Yennefer Does Geralt's Job at the Brothel" Hmm, not quite the "job" I was hoping to see her do there. xD
The job she used to do.
Just another reason we love Yen.
I like how Yennefer doesn't care in the slightest about potential problems with using her magic in Novigrad. I find her grating most of the time, but this is one instance where it's cool.
Props to the voice actor of gaunter o dimm, didn’t notice he voiced that guy at all! Great job, very versatile individual.
Yeah, meanwhile IRL he has such a thick Scottish accent ;]
0:02 *sigh* I love her
And no we will not cancel Yennefer thank you very much 👦🏼
I considered calling this video "Yennefer Solves Geralt's Issues at the Brothel" But I would've been accused of favoritism :P
@@xLetalis how is it favouritism when half the goddamn server is solving their issues? Missed opportunity tbh ;)
This game just keeps on giving, 6 years after its release. I wonder just how much content there still is yet to be discovered.
xLetalis my friend, it might sound awkward and out of topic but thanks to you, I won a news casting contest at school, so I ran out of Idea for a closing so I used your outro phrase "stay tuned and be good" guess what, the judges likes it, they said it really packs a punch for a closing:)
*sorry guys it might be awkward to share it here :)
Hah, I'm glad to hear!
Ym. I played witcher 3 7 times and always i got scene where yenefer catches him. I simply though that this is supose to be rubberbanding run. For some reson i never catched him myself despite the fact that i usually been faster, at some point i remembered his track and run before him
I love the subtle and not so subtle humor in these videos.
3:07 How did you miss this? Every W3 speedrunner knows it.
Edit: I see you got caught outside. You get a new line from zoltan and geralt if they don't see you outside.
That editing in the first couple minutes was subtly hilarious!
Have you tried to install the "Better Call Ciri" mod? I've tried, but it doesn't work for me, though I'm not a noob at TW3 modding.
No I haven't tried it :( What is it about?
@@ExtremeGamingHD3D hmm you can do it with the console command by typing in "ciri" for Ciri and "geralt" for Geralt
tried to install it again today. thought it was a mod conflict with GeraltCloak mod which used the same key bindings, but seems it's just a script issue according to the Script Merger, which can't be merged automatically, and I"m not that experienced to manually edit Kdiff lines.
maybe it will work for you if your game is relatively clean and you don't have a ton of mods installed as I do.
@@xLetalis console commands? you sure? hm, haven't tried that. I'll check it out
@@xLetalis hell yeah, I did it. got the same freaking model of the naked Geralt mixed with Ciri after visiting a brothel lmao xDD
didn't know it was possible using the console commands. the difference between that mod and console command is that Ciri in the mod is playable. you're able to loot, to enter the inventory and other things available to Geralt. thankfully it's possible to add money using the console too. so, I added some coin to Ciri's inaccessible inventory and paid a girl in Passiflora. that broken cutscene.. lmaooo
you know whats the best? THIS GAME IS SO GOOD THAT AFTER 5 YEARS OF HER RELEASE IT STILL HAVE RARE CUTSCENES :) I LOVE THAT
As much as I think she's generally a trash-fire of a person, I will say that Yennefer shines in two particular places.
That face and Eye stare at the beginning by Geralt was awesome haha
Yup I failed to catch him first time cause it was buggy as heck . That Voice actor detail was nice though .
7:51 , that dancing lady on the right is more terrifying than o'dimm
I already figured Zoltan would help you if you didn't do Triss' quest, I just couldn't find it in my heart to refuse her, so thanks for that

Nope, I put it there ;]
I just was chilling near the fast travel sign at the von everec estate after I met Shani at the estate (but didn't meet vlodimir yet) there's a second circle of children singing GoDs theme and I'm really creeped out now, it's like he really is following you everywhere
That happened to me in a playthrought, she was so badass.
@@jonts7 I was almost catching him in my first playthrought and then Yen caught him, subsequently on my second playthrought I caught him.
The screen shot of Vesemir at Corvo Bianco with Geralt splayed out dead, was pretty f'ing funny!
You know, CD Project really has such a titanic task in their hands with the witcher 4... It's going to be so hard to match or even surpass this master piece
They are trying to do it with CP 2077.
Books arent clear about if school of the wolf trained new witchers during geralts life, but CDPR has been (actually they must have trained new boys since coen and lambert are younger, but I doubt Geralt had any teaching experiences.)
Why I want Coen to be a story is because his story is completely unwritten in games and we only know the ending in the books. He also had personality and major character development during the times weve not seen him. But I understand why you want an entirely new witcher, that was my first choice too before I read a fan story about coen from the fan stories approved by Sapkowski book "fangs and claws". Then I started thinking and realized the potential the character has.
Bro this game came out 5 years ago! How is this possible? Amazing.
Has anyone compiled all of these details into a single list? Would be nice for my next play through.
