If you are into backpacking, new to backpacking, or just into hiking this video is right for you. Sharing how we plan our backpacking trip to the backpacking community.
Very good video. I agree with what you said about the importance of research. The thing I love about UA-cam is that everyone shares their experiences and giving me ideas on different places to go. You are also right about the highly edited videos. They look great and help with inspiration but miss a lot of the details. Thank you for putting this together and sharing.
@Expeditionary Jonny. Yes, UA-cam is an amazing tool. We learned a lot from real people experiences whether DIY or travel videos. We wouldn’t have dared to venture into this trails by just watching tv productions which are heavily edited. Sadly these productions started flooding youtube and drowning the real people. Thank you Sir for watching.
@Paper tiger79. You could also watch our Backpacking Timberline Trail if you haven’t watch yet. We captured awesome sceneries on that hike and water crossings. Feel free to ask questions. Thank you for watching.
@@FirstHandExplore I did watch it, twice now, and will probably watch it 2 more times before I leave for my hike. It's far and away the best vlog of that trail I've seen, and it was a big factor in my decision to hike the Timberline this summer. My only regret is I won't be able to see it in the autumn, as you did. Thanks for sharing!
@@papertiger795 . Yes, be aware of the water levels during summer time. I have watched videos that the current were strong as well. Don’t rush it. Take time to find the safest crossing. I’d love to revisit that trail someday. Enjoy.
Nold. Open an account on GAIA GPS. You don’t have to subscribe on it. Use your computer to use the 3D feature. I don’t think the cellphone app will have this feature. AllTrails also have this feature but won’t allow you to use unless you subscribe and pay the yearly fee.

Perfect timing, as I just sat down to work on my Timberline trail hiking plans.
