One of the only things I watch on UA-cam is backpacking videos of potential places I want to go to. This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. Great job. Awesome work. Thank you for this
Thank you for this comment and thank you for watching. It means a lot to us.
I solo hiked this route as a dayhike in 2020, it was amazing. Thanks for the video
Hi Jeff. Yes, it was an amazing hike. A bucket list hike. We did see a few hikers with daypacks. You must be very fit to hike it in a day. Our concern was just the water source or lack of it.
I have always wanted to do that hike and at 72 I don’t think in this lifetime but I loved going with both of you
I believe this is one of the must hikes in a lifetime. I also believe it doesn’t have to be several miles. Hiking down bright angel and staying at the Indian garden or one of the campsites near the colorado river is full filling enough. Hope you try it in this lifetime.
You can do it in your lifetime
I'm 70 and hiking the entire length of the Tonto Trail is one the treks I have on my GC hiking resume
3.5 years ago I got sick ; stroke , cancer ,a-fib , aortic valve replacement
November of '94 I'm returning to the Canyon and my "it's good to be back " hike will be;
Down the BA>Tonto East to Hance Rapids> Escalante Route to Tanner > Beamer to the Confluence >Out via the the Tanner with a dry camp on the saddle between Escalante and Cardenas Buttes
Very,very Beautiful!!!
Hermoso el gran cajón de arizona""

Hi Giuliano. Yes, the geology was just amazing. One of the most breathtaking views on this planet I have ever seen. Truly god’s creation. Thank you for watching.
Thank you for providing enough information that we could reproduce your hike. I am always looking for new places to go and prefer less traveled trails.
You are welcome. I’m glad you guys find it informative. Thank you for watching.
Beautiful video❤❤❤
@lizkemna269. Thank you!
Tonto is a cool trail. Do it!
It is cool. One of the best hikes we’ve ever experienced.
Kanindota jud!
Nindot kaayo taga west coast kay open kaayo ila landscape. Pero ang mga gadala naa ra sa ending nagpose. Hehe
Na lingaw ko sige balik tan-aw sa vedeo
Great video guys. Awesome to see you all out enjoying nature.
Thank you Frosty Travel’s
How did you feel hiking through the beautiful grand canyon? What season did you go, did your knees hurt all that hard way? You maybe felt great, i think you were rejuvenated. Many greetings from Greece.Yet I noticed that you didn't cross any bridges, while other walkers crossed two or three bridges along the way. Why didn't you cross them? 💝💝💝
Hi. Thank you for watching. This is a bucketlist hike. We are glad we did it while we still can. My knees only hurt the first day going downhill with all that weight on my pack. There are no bridges as the Tonto trail goes along the colorado river and not across it. Other videos you watched are probably the RIM to RIM trail which is also great but crowded. If you plan to camp in the Grand Canyon you need to apply for permit. A lot of hikers do the RIM to RIM trail as a day hike to prevent getting camping permit thus it is crowded.
@@FirstHandExplore you are very lucky since you visited grand canyon.I hope that God will help me also to visit and hike this unique wonder 💖💖💖
@@user-hx6ef9bt2m I do hope you visit it someday. It is really unique and one of God’s gift for us to enjoy.
When did you hike down?
Hi Benjamincanty354. It was last March. Springtime.
did you guys bring some 1800?
Hi Vin. We forgot to bring any drinks from the chaos of logistics. That backpacking trip almost did not happen.
nice, i’m happy it did happen!
I’ll try to make a short video of the logistics nightmare we encountered before and after the backpacking trip.
how many pounds did your packs weighed?
I don’t weigh my pack. I should probably do next time. Maybe 30plus lbs.
i ask because it looks a lot of volume.
I try to carry most of the heavy stuff to lighten my partner’s load. And carry extra stuff for the cold and icy weather at higher elevation.
How much did your back packs weigh
@lizkemna269. Unfortunately I don’t weigh my pack. I’m a heavy loader to lessen my wife’s load. I think my pack is more than 30 lbs. I should weigh it next time though.
@@FirstHandExplore Y'all should explore the wonders of freeze-dried food - cuts way down on the weight of the pack. Can't believe your wife carried them skewers with meat!!
@@thedeafcattledog8608 . Yes, we stopped by an asian store in Vegas and bought some barbecue. I didn’t expect her to bring the sticks. 😁.We tried several hydrated meals before but just couldn’t find any satisfactory meals yet. Thank you for watching.
@@FirstHandExplore freeze dry wholesalers - they sell online to the general public, we’ve been very happy with what we’ve tried so far and plan to use them when we go the Grand Canyon because we all have food allergies. 😁
Anak ng. Nakita ko me kanin eh. Alam na 😂
Hehe. Basta kanin talaga. Bisto na.
