2:18 for anyone curious, some vets do this when they spay young female pups in a pediatric spay procedure, as pups are often 'between sizes' for cones, and these are actually more comfortable for the little one. for the record, a pediatric spay is one performed on a dog in the 8-12 week range, and many vets dont do them due to increased risk factors. Yeah my vet suggested waiting until 6 months (although its nutter not spay) we were wanting to get him pajamas but since he's fixing cherry eye as well its not useful
I bought a few baby onesies at Walmart for my cockapoo when he was neutered, more comfy than the cone. I just had to unbutton the bottom and roll it up a bit when he went out to do his business. I got some really sweet pics of him in his onesies 🥰
It’s nice to see how much vets care about their patients, even if they only met a few times. When one of my cats had to be put to sleep earlier this year, they recommended a cremation service. Basically, they put his ashes in some soil and gave us a starter for a plant of our choice (we chose forget-me-not) and these circle things with his paw indent. We haven’t planted him yet, but once it’s Spring we’ll take the best care of him.
One of my cats gets very clingy when I take her to the vet. I used to find it very touching, but when they started taking the pets at the door (covid) I learned that apparently anyone will do, and she clings to the staff as well. Sometimes they joke about not giving her back, and I have been informed that the behavior section of her file reads 'VERY SWEET!'
@@azuroslazuli6948 I did that today, actually (well, sub-zero celcius, anyway), with a mask. Again not seeing the problem...get de-fogger for your glasses, and make sure to wear them *over* the mask, rather than letting them ride under. Using the kind of mask with a wire in the nose helps as well, as it can conform to your nose shape.
Once I took my hamster to the get cause she was sick. We got a bottle of medicine and I'm not sure what I was expecting but when I read the bottle it said Patients Name: Copper (Thats my hamsters name) It was cute and made me happy and she was a very good hamster and the vet said she did a very good job :)
I have been rushed into the hospital 3 times. Once when I was 3 weeks old because I stopped breathing, eating and drinking. Another I waited 3 minutes to be seen when I cut most of my finger of when I was 8. The last time I wasn't the patient. It was so I could see my Grandad who was put on life support and the doctors didn't think he would make it long. He was close to me and I gave him a hug. The pain was unbearable so they discussed with the adults of my family and him they decided to stop life support and we were hugging when he passed. That is a moment that I will never forget.

Our vet does this too (1:40) and it is truly one of the kindest, gentlest things a vet can do. The candle has been lit for two of our dogs and I cannot tell you how comforting it was.
2:23 My mom did that for me, it was a bottle of water with vanilla extract to make it smell safe and she would spray it on my pjs and under my bed and on my mirror to make me sleep, if she forgot I wouldn’t sleep in my room until she remembered. Glad to see im not the only one who had to have this “perception”! ❤️
It was maybe a year ago, I red in the newspaper (in switzerland) that a mayor in France was so desperate to find a doctor for his town that he ask a french weekly newspaper to publish an add : "Look for experienced druid to cure wound and disease". Well, not only this joke cross the border, but in addition there are now two doctors in this village. I call that a success.
A jar full of Hershey's kiss' sits on counter at vet's. The message on it reads "All Good Dogs need to Taste Chocolate B4 they go to Heaven" ( Thought the dog house/ fish tank very cool.)
1:38 The vet here has the same exact thing. I almost cried again because it reminded me of the time that our first cat had to be put down because of a rare illness that she got. I wasn't at the vet with her to say goodbye. I said my last goodbye to her at home, before she was taken to the vet to put an end to her suffering. I regret not coming with my parents to be with her during her last moments, but that was probably for my own good or something😞 I feel even worse about it because she was a stray who would come to our house almost every night until we decided to keep her after taking her to the vet to make sure that she would be alright to adopt. SHE chose US, and she was perfect. She wasn't mean at all and she really loved all of us. I miss Bella💔 She was still young and I hate that she had to be put down that early
I was planning to be a veterinarian but decided against it since I wouldn't be able to handle putting animals to sleep, so I decided to become a teacher instead.
VERY stressful job. I've worked in the pet field for 15 years (nutritionist, vet assistant, kennel tech, pet bather, and bird/small animal care-taker), including volunteering with animal rescues. As much as you love caring for the animals, it will eventually wear you down with as many as you have to say good-bye to, no matter the reasons. It got to where I just emotionally can not do it anymore.
@@silverskyranch Yeah, and since I had pets all my life, all ranging from dogs and cats to birds and chickens, I thought I would end up working in a job working with animals but alas, I didn't.
@@silverskyranch I had a vet who 'retired' after less than 10 years, not because of anything he had done wrong, but because seeing the people in our area, who are largely animal lovers, break down over and over as he had to put pets down, just broke him. He was extremely apologetic about it, and many of us understood. I actually went and talked to him, and told him that he had no reason to feel guilty about it. I work in healthcare for humans, and my original specialty was Trauma Med. But after seeing so many people die, usually because of drunk drivers, or other idiocy, it started to break me down. So i went to Palliative Care, thinking 'these people are sick and dying, but most of them are adults, who have lived full lives'. but then i had to watch people die alone, with their family only coming in AFTER to fight over who got what, and that just broke me more. Now i work in Psychiatry, as an NP, specializing in Trauma disorders, like PTSD and its already starting to wear me down. I graduated from college as an RN in 2012. And im thinking of taking an unskilled job, because my mental health is going down the drain.
Once, at a nursing home, my mom who worked there dressed up along side 2 others as the chipmunks from Alvin and the Chipmunks. She has good planning when it comes to Halloween costumes.
5:27 this makes me smile because my grandfather had polio as a child and was lucky enough to have survived with only minor permanent disabilities (multiple back surgeries, unable to get up from the ground, requires either a crutch or a cane and a leg brace to be able to do anything) he now spends his days outside on his knees all day gardening making his house beautiful for my amazing grandmother who has chosen to forgo retirement to support the two of them by herself. This story sounds sad right? so why does it make me smile? because my grandfather looks at statistics like this and says with a smile "the vaccine came to late for me, but thanks to god and the amazing doctors nurses and researchers no child will ever have to go through what i went through ever again." He also makes it a point to remind people that there are less wealthy countries out there still struggling with polio and other horrible diseases, so we should be forever grateful to have access to these and that anyone who talks bad about vaccines is just showing how cold heartless and selfish they are.
That scene at 0:49 hit me hard negatively. According to my father, when they rush my very ill brother who was just a baby at that time to the ER, they weren't prioritized. He was very ill and is dying so my father literally made a scandal by screaming and cursing something like "My son is dying!". He is right, my brother is dying and he died for a "moment". They just oxygenized his brain so he was brought to life. That happened a few years before I was born. My older brother is alive but he isn't normal because: brain just died + oxygenation = fluctuation of brain oxygen = cerebral palsy. He is suffering from cerebral palsy, the more severe type. Now he cannot walk without holding the wall, cannot read or right, cannot talk, cannot really think and has the mental capability of a baby (a baby before he/she can speak). I am not exaggerating the baby part. I'm not blaming the whole medical field or the whole hospital itself, but I am blaming the ER management of that specific day.
6:55 The fish tank/dog house I've seen done in the Animal Plant show on the fish tank company that can do any shape fish tank for order (I think it call 'Tanked' or something like it).
Since my budgerigar died about 6 years ago (yes it still hurts. Budgies are just as lovable as any other pet be it dogs, cats, or parrots. Since it's apparently quite common for people to think "it's just a bird"; do NOT underestimate the bond between owner and animal) seeing that small and simple gesture in that vet store with the candle to tell when somebody is seeing goodbye to their pet almost brings tears to my eyes. Also my current budgie (not as talkative, but can imitate whistles and other sounds very well instead and is very playful) got sick once, and I got really worried since he doesn't like it when you pet him with your finger (anything else is ok; pocket knife (without the knife out), enveloppe, phones, pens...), but that time he enjoyed it and didn't even tried to move away. So that same evening I took him to the vet, and the first thing he said was something like "what a beautiful and sweet budgie". If interested: he didn't have any suspicions it might be serious (likely "overgrowth of bacteria in water"), so he gave an anti-inflammatory and within 2 days he was back to his goofy normal self.
8:00 Been suggesting that to dentists for years. Now, some have tvs up there. Others have “Music preference” on their medical information forms so they can relax their patients, voice controlled speakers are great for this.
My dog barks at people when she is scared. Never bites, just barks. Took her to a dog daycare before I went on vacation, and they put a muzzle on her assuming she was dangerous. The vet took the muzzle off knowing she was not. This is something that has stuck with me.
The monster spray is no joke. My therapist got used to hearing about my much younger brother’s issues in tandem with mine, and because he wasn’t sleeping in his room alone, she recommended he and my mom pick out the grossest, most potent essential oils and put it in a spray bottle fan thing with water. He started sleeping on his own.
Still remembering when my man had a cardiac arrest and ended up at North Memorial Hospital, Robinsdale, MN. The specialist who came in for him had a suit made from vivid fabric that looked like it was full of patches. The doctor also wore a Star Trek pin upside down.
Took my dad's cat to the vet for shots , an open abscess to be looked at since it happened at the time & mom threw in getting him neutered because she was through with him spraying in the house. He's a shy cat, behaved well while being handled by strangers, it's winter so I always leave the house with at least a light jacket, so I put my jacket over part of the cage for him to have a slight hiding space with a familiar scent while we waited for the doctor.
0:48.. unless they totally underestimate the situation and leave you sitting there without any pain meds. Decide to bring you to sleep because that would probably be “easier “.. rush out to your parents with a 😳😱😱 look on their face. Yes a giant hook was smashed into my eye, barely missed my brain. From the outside it looked like a black eye… just great 🤣 I am ok now ,only lost my left eye.
Ouch! Yeah, it does happen. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who either freak out at any injuries/illness, or are just very self centered. Puts those who are in serious, but less obvious trouble at risk. I know a woman who took her baby to the ER when he was very sick, had a cough, and was slightly blue. Unfortunately the mother was young, and the baby was in a blue coat with the hood on, so his colour didn't look as too bad next to it. She tried several times to get someone to take a look at him, but the nurses/doctors would barely look. Must have assmed she was overreacting to her baby having a cold. After more that half an hour, a nurse finally went into the waiting room, fed up of being bothered, and told her to take his hood off, so she could get a better look. As soon as it was off, she rushed them to a doctor, pulling him away from another patient. Thankfully there was no brain damage,
The hook was attached to a robe so it was kind of catapulted into my eye but didn’t stay in there. Destroyed everything in its path though. Very happy that they were able to fix it as well as they did. I was sort of disappointed in the beginning. The eye surgeon said “ don’t worry you’ll get a prosthetic eye and nobody will notice” … wrong. Everybody who got the nerve to ask, asks what happened or what is wrong with it . But the eye surgeon did a very good job , there are some scars alongside my nose and above my eye. I sometimes have a phase that I’m like “ I ll just wear an eye patch and be like a pirate 🤣” . If you look at my profile picture you notice I slightly tilt my head , that makes it less noticeable. But again, very grateful nothing worse happened and the surgeon did a wonderful job 🙏🏻

This literally makes me tear up, this video makes me feel SO MUCH MORE comfortable during doctor's office visits. (I often have anxiety attacks when at the doctor's office because I've been sick since June and I've been having to go A LOT and it really stresses me out...)
I lost my cat suddenly, in the middle of a school day. I had to go to the office and my mom picked me up. Apparently he died of suffocation because of something in his lungs, and I don’t like to think about it. Anyways, they let me stay in the room with his body and say my final goodbyes. A week later I receive a little box of his ashes and, something that made me very happy. They took the time to put his paw print on a piece of clay. I still love so much you Bubba, and wherever you are now, I hope you’re doing well.
for the candle one at 1:43, the vet place i go to also has that. unfortunately, it was closed when my dog died, so we had to go somewhere else when he was put down- so they never lit the candle. i’ve never seen it lit before, so i guess that’s a good thing!
When I was in hospital for dental surgery, I asked if I could hold on to my little stuff cat I'd brought till the last minute. I woke up hours later and there was my kitty on the hospital bed to greet me. Even adults need help from a stuffie sometimes.
It was likely because it was spayed or had some sort of procedure done and the clothing was to prevent the dog licking it and hurting themselves. My friend has a cat that's had to wear clothes to prevent it too and she also bought costumes for those times. It's not good to dress your pets, but, when it's needed, it doesn't hurt to have some cute or funny for the ocasion

@@evelynkrull5268 isn’t Neutering for male animals and spaying for female animals?
@@crowblossom06 yes
I bought a few baby onesies at Walmart for my cockapoo when he was neutered, more comfy than the cone. I just had to unbutton the bottom and roll it up a bit when he went out to do his business. I got some really sweet pics of him in his onesies 🥰
Thank you, this was a beautiful reminder that humans can actually be kind 🤗
Came here for Charlie and I wasn’t disappointed
I think everyone came for Charlie! :)
I still have the stocking that my son was brought to me in. BEST PRESENT EVER.
3:37 my mom was born the day before christmas eve, she still has the stocking they put here in
It’s nice to see how much vets care about their patients, even if they only met a few times.
0:55 needs to be a t-shirt/poster in the US..."If a cat can wear a mask, what's *your* problem?"
Or if you are that paranoid, you can *STAY INSIDE YOUR OWN HOME*
@@WorgenGrrl what if someone needs to get groceries or something like that? then what?
Glasses in subzero temperatures, you jerk. THAT’S the problem.
Well, the cat won’t really realize what it is and what’s going on, so….
Wonderful video. The one's that hit me the hardest are Thank You to a Vet at 00:25 and the Votive Candle at 1:39.
Once I took my hamster to the get cause she was sick. We got a bottle of medicine and I'm not sure what I was expecting but when I read the bottle it said
Patients Name: Copper
(Thats my hamsters name)
It was cute and made me happy and she was a very good hamster and the vet said she did a very good job :)
Some people really do become doctors, nurses and vets because they genuinely care and want to help. Not just for the $ and prestige. Bless them all.
Brilliant & caring Drs & nurses. ❤️
I loved the No Monster Spray.
1:43 my vet has this too, when we were saying goodbye to my amazing boi Chudo it was at our house, but the lady doing it was so kind and understanding, the last thing she told him was that he was a good boy and how much everyone loved him
Our vet does this too (1:40) and it is truly one of the kindest, gentlest things a vet can do. The candle has been lit for two of our dogs and I cannot tell you how comforting it was.
2:23
My mom did that for me, it was a bottle of water with vanilla extract to make it smell safe and she would spray it on my pjs and under my bed and on my mirror to make me sleep, if she forgot I wouldn’t sleep in my room until she remembered.
I love "the improve pain scale" 😂 idk why I laugh at number 10
I’m curious why a vet would retire after only 10 years? On an aside, Hands down my biggest regret in life is not becoming one.
Veterinarians regret becoming one.
That's neat. When I saw it, it brought back memories of a clothing store in my hometown, it had an aquarium made from an antique TV.
4:44 this cutie kitty looks just like my old cat he has the same lil socks in his paws and the blotch on his face
8:00 Been suggesting that to dentists for years. Now, some have tvs up there. Others have “Music preference” on their medical information forms so they can relax their patients, voice controlled speakers are great for this.
I thank God for ever person like you all around the world GOD BLESS YOU
My dog barks at people when she is scared.
Shoutout to the surgeon who put an eyepatch on my teddy when I had my eye surgery as a kiddo
My dad and step-mom had to put their dog down recently. The vet made a house call so she could be at home and comfortable. ❤️
The 'é' in Ratoncito Pérez is just nonexist 😂
My vet discharged my terminal guinea pig with the instructions of "extra love and cuddles". It helped lift what was a very low mood.
Still remembering when my man had a cardiac arrest and ended up at North Memorial Hospital, Robinsdale, MN. The specialist who came in for him had a suit made from vivid fabric that looked like it was full of patches. The doctor also wore a Star Trek pin upside down.
wonderful quiet chuckles.
'Ridiculously handsome' also applies to the vet at 3:55
this is hilarious. I’m in a car stuck in traffic (south Carolina), and I’ve been watching these for 1 hour straight. Thanks
Glad to see that cats don’t get offended from being fat-shamed by their vets

3:36 I actually came home from the hospital in a stocking. I think my mom still has it somewhere
This is pure gold, and honestly is so sweet, it made my day. 💖
Took my dad's cat to the vet for shots , an open abscess to be looked at since it happened at the time & mom threw in getting him neutered because she was through with him spraying in the house. He's a shy cat, behaved well while being handled by strangers,
it's winter so I always leave the house with at least a light jacket, so I put my jacket over part of the cage for him to have a slight hiding space with a familiar scent while we waited for the doctor.
I love that most of them are animals :)
0:48.. unless they totally underestimate the situation and leave you sitting there without any pain meds.
:0 you almost effing DIED
At least you survived to tell the tale XD
How DID you get a hook stuck into your eye tho
1:56 i've seen mugs like these with different degrees. The funniest one is for IT degree. It says "Don't confuse your Google search with MY Google search".

Great video! Great Channel 👍 👌 👍
This is why I want to be a vet, also because I love animals, who doesn’t?
I lost my cat suddenly, in the middle of a school day. I had to go to the office and my mom picked me up. Apparently he died of suffocation because of something in his lungs, and I don’t like to think about it. Anyways, they let me stay in the room with his body and say my final goodbyes. A week later I receive a little box of his ashes and, something that made me very happy. They took the time to put his paw print on a piece of clay.
I still love so much you Bubba, and wherever you are now, I hope you’re doing well.
Not trying to make a big deal, but this is one of the few things that make me smile, thanks for making my day, or night I suppose.

When I was in hospital for dental surgery, I asked if I could hold on to my little stuff cat I'd brought till the last minute. I woke up hours later and there was my kitty on the hospital bed to greet me. Even adults need help from a stuffie sometimes.
2:18 is no one curious about why the dog left the vet with a taco costume?
It was likely because it was spayed or had some sort of procedure done and the clothing was to prevent the dog licking it and hurting themselves. My friend has a cat that's had to wear clothes to prevent it too and she also bought costumes for those times. It's not good to dress your pets, but, when it's needed, it doesn't hurt to have some cute or funny for the ocasion
