  • The military has delivered emergency supplies to isolated parts of Cumbria that have been cut off for five days by heavy snow
    The county council said that despite its 'best efforts' to clear the roads, areas including Fellside, South Stainmore and Alston had been left isolated and could remain so for another 48 hours

    To be honest, that was a dusting of snow that just got blown into doorways, look at the moors there is only a tiny bit of snow, houses hedges cars etc all collect snow around them. Alston gets a hell of a lot more snow than that most years.
