The US vice-president and Democratic nominee for president paused before she began a speech about economic matters on the election campaign trail to address the incident. Four people have been confirmed dead and multiple others injured. The suspect, a 14-year-old boy, is currently in custody.

England here. I watched the schools video of the parkland shooting and the trial, some of it. If that had happened in the UK you wouldn't be able to buy a BB gun and guns of all calibre and types would be banned outright and any politician arguing against it would be finished. I remember last year reading of a young girl in your country who was praying in her bedroom and killed outright by a stray bullet through the wall.
I mean, it's not that difficult. Every other Western country has managed to figure it out

Remember that children from other countries are being slaughtered on daily basis with their weaponry. It shouldn't be that way either.
And weaponry left behind when we left and sold to Hamas. Literally Joe Biden gave Hamas 100,000s of thousands of dollars which funded a bombing campaign on Israel, then Joe sold Israel some of our old outdated planes for millions of dollars. It was in the first few months of his presidency.

They did... infact this kid was alerted to the authorities a week prior to shooting up the school. He made threats online and the FBI said there wasn't sufficient evidence for a search warrant of the home
We have mental health problems here in Australia, too, but the major mass shooting stopped in 1996 after the gun ban!!

The shooting at Apalachee High School a couple of days ago was stopped within 2 minutes when school resource officers confronted the shooter and he surrendered.

While it is not a solution to the problem the Police and other Government Agencies have invested considerably in Forward Intervention Training for these types of scenarios and rapid entry Diamond Formation teams to both protect the Officers from harm and to save lives at the scene

She's allowed to talk about recent events, especially when they pertain directly to her campaign. That is not sinking low, that is a moral obligation. To use a tragedy to explain to Americans that something is seriously wrong while it's still fresh in everyone's minds and that it needs to be fixed. Not empty thoughts and prayers.
